I ADORE this restaurant. My boyfriend and I come here every week because the servers are attentive, friendly and prompt, the restaurant is uncrowded, the food arrives quickly, and above all, it is so delicious!! I will start by saying that I don't know how "authentic" it is and I have never been to Thailand, but in my experience it's the best Thai food I've ever had.
We have had the pad thai, curry pad thai, curry fried rice, green curry chicken and beef, spring rolls, and chicken curry soup. Absolutely everything was great - flavourful, creamy, tons of peanuts on the pad thai, and my curry pad thai was absolutely piled with shrimp - at least 10 shrimp on the plate!
Final word: can't comment on authenticity, but 10/10 for deliciousness. I'm dreaming about my pad thai leftovers now... ;)
It's my local go to take out and I want to like it. Great flavours and overall good food. But the people who work there are idiots. And, I just had take out and my noodle dish was only about half the onut of noodles that it's been in the past. One time I ordered curry and usually they ask if you would like white rice with that but they didn't and I forgot to order it. Needless to say, I got home with curry and no rice. It's hard to like it and they need to hire people who care about the food.
Friendly Thai - Amazing !!!. Me and my boyfriend order regular from the Friendly Thai. We love the food there, our favorite is the Curry Phad Thai. Amazing !!! We haven't been able to find any other Thai place in Toronto that can match their Curry Phad Thai !!!
Earlier staff issues were resolved with a change in management. The food is good, if not inspired, standard thai fair, with dining in nice enough for a casual dinner, and quick takeout as an alternative. My room mates and I are hooked on the curry pad thai, and it's one of our regular haunts in the junction.
Amazing food, great service. I love the food at this place, everything tastes very fresh and nicely cooked, my fave for veggies is the avocado peanut stir fry or the green curry, for meat I love the crispy beef, chicken devil and avocado chicken I love their level of spice and the staff members are very friendly as well
If you're ordering from a chain restaurant, I don't think you can expect too much in terms of auntenticity. It's really goof for what it is, cheap delicious thai-style food. The staff are always friendly when I pick-up my order, even though the restaurant is usually empty. The green curry is my favorite here, but I always ask them to make it a bit more spicy for me.
