Nostalgic..Ive been coming to Hua sang since I was little its always nice to come back once in awhile. I always get the same thing everytime, the lobster and crab they are what they are famous for. Service is quick and attentive however like any other Chinese restaurants they can seem rude at times. Another dish worth trying is their beef steak on the sizzling plate , black bean snails and their clams. Will be back again one day..
Droolz. Best ginger and green onion lobster! it's the only item that keeps me coming back! I always order that with a side of steamed rice and vegetable! perfect!
Lobster Master. Black bean sauce lobster may not be your thing .. but it sure is mine. Hua Sang, without doubt, makes the best lobster in town for us. We're addicted .. ..be careful though, this terrific restaurant has a tendency to jack up the lobster prices during holidays/busy days. I'm drooling as I write this thinking of that lobster, lobster, lobster.
Lobster special. Never mind the decor or the service just have the lobster in black bean sauce and if you are like me you will be happy. Excellent flavor, appealing aroma and favorable pricing. BTW, I found the interior a little warm on a summer evening.
Any time of year, the lobster with green onion in blackbean sauce is a must-try. Its not too expensive, yet tastes great! To fu dessert is a delight
Wow!!! Great food. The best lobster I had in a long time
Hua Sang 10 years and counting.... If you're a typical uppity person whos never eaten in a regular Chinese Restaurant then don't eat here.
By a dirty plate, once in a while you might have drip of something under the plate or on the edge --- either way ask for new plate, it happens chill out!
Secondly I've been eating on and off at Hua Sang for roughly 10 years. And its alway during summer for their lobster special.
A little background I'm Canadian Chinese, and although everything usually tastes great with black bean sauce --- lobster doesn't . So NEVER get the black bean lobster and ALWAYS get the Ginger & Green Onion lobster.
The taste is amazing I will just slightly chew the lobster shell cause the flavor is that good. Imagine sucking the bare bones of ribs cause it was that good - same here.
Also I don't think any other Chinese Restaurant has perfected the way Hua Sang does the Ginger & Green Onion Lobster. All other Chinese Restaurants seem to steam cook the lobster in a sauce and thats it.
And for those used to the Red Lobster crap or just the western way of giving you a thick piece of small lobster tail meat this is different.
Chinese style is chopping it up and cooking it in a wok. If you've ever seen anything done in a wok the proportions are usually small so everything cooks well. So be prepared to eat this like you're eating crab legs, but they cut it so professionally that if you eat here a while you know exactly how to tackle each piece.
So in closing all the haters go eat somewhere else, more lobster for me and my buddies!
Fried ginger and onion lobster. All day. That's all you need to know.
Another delicious dinner at Hua Sang.
One of the hidden gems of the city, Hua Sang offers great Chinese cuisine specializing in seafood done typically Cantonese style.
We will typically go with the fried lobster, clams in blackbean sauce, along with fried squid, and some choy (greens). You can't go wrong with any of the seafood dishes.
Never dissapoints; it must be the well seasoned woks that add to the amazing flavour that remains consistent everytime. When we want the real deal, we go here.
It can get busy at times but we always aim for an early dinner to avoid the line-ups.
Well worth it!
