Excellent service, super cheap, rolls could be a bit better. I like this place because it's super affordable and the servers are excellent - very helpful and kind. They have an extensive menu, but in my opinion the rolls could be rolled better. Sometimes they fall apart. That said, the fish is fresh and you can't go wrong with the price.
Great place, nice service.. Have been to many sushi restaurants in the Chinatown and Bloor/Annex area. Ordered the vegetarian special bento box and asked for waiter to substitute the california roll for sweet potato rolls - they did this without hesitation. Sushi was great, teriyaki was good, salad was good! Nice service and good food overall, especially worth it for $6.99 (lunch special). Would definitely go again!
Wayy better than Sushi on Bloor!!. Japan Sushi is great! Very tasty and the prices are really great! It's so much better than Sushi on Bloor! And it's just west of SoB on the North side of Bloor so really, you should def go there instead!! The last time I went to Sushi on Bloor, I had to return my food it was so bad. They gave me a 10$ coupon for next time, but I won't go back, no way. It was too gross!! I don't understand why people go to Sushi On Bloor. It must have a following with students or some such dedicated clientele that keeps it going...but Japan Sushi is where it's at! Give it a shot, you'll see!!!
Way better than sushi on bloor. LUV this place, the food is fresh and always exactly as ordered. service is friendly and quick. prices are reasonable. i have recommedned JS and there are many converst from S on B. become one!
DELISH!. This restaurant is probably one of my favourite sushi places in Toronto. The decor is very relaxing and although it is very quiet and empty during the day, by night and lunchtime it is completely full. The menu is very diverse and the prices for what you get is reasonable. The service is very good! I LOVE THIS PLACE.
