The call it casual dine but the ambiance here will make you feel like it's a fine dine. The service was a little slow but friendly. This has been my all time favourite place for a plate of BBQ chicken wings! A little on the pricey side though
I went to the Fox in September with a group of people. We sat on the patio but a couple of my friends complained about a soapy smell that seemed to waft in and out. It seems the source comes from the venting system in their bathrooms or something so choose your patio seats closer to the door maybe. We all ordered different things. I really enjoyed my meal. I got s small portion of Mac and cheese with jalapeño which I thought was the perfect portion and it tasted great. I also got the chicken skewers which were pretty good. My friends had varying degrees of satisfaction in their meals. Skip the chicken sandwich. It seemed to be a bit boring. It's a pretty noisy place so sit on the patio if you want to have a conversation
Went after seeing a show. Service was wonderful and the food excellent. I had a portobello burger & it was full of flavour. Definitely recommend it
Not your average fox and the fiddle bar. In the heart of Toronto lies a more modern higher end fox and the fiddle. It's a refreshing take on a bar that commonly isn't the most appealing, but this location was excellent. With a beautiful atmosphere and great location this is definitely a place I'd come back to. The only downfall is portion size for food isn't the greatest but where they lack in size they gain in quality.
Surprised by how impressed I was with this location! Stopped by around 12:45am on Saturday night to grab some more drinks and food. Our beers came out right away and we decided to tackle the bar menu. We ordered ham and cheese croquettes, meatballs, calamari, wings, and the bacon burger.
Croquettes: amazeballs, so moist and creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, topped with a delicious horseradish mustard combination and fresh cheese.
Meatballs: great marinara, great baked baguette slices and great overall taste.
Calamari: some of the best breaded calamari I've tasted in a while, great seasoning and dip.
Burger: good size, perfectly cooked bacon and wedge fries.
I'm excited to come back and try their food during the day! But super impressed that their late night bar menu tasted as good as it sounded :)
Visited this place at 1 AM after a late night movie. I loved the decor and the library like feel at the seating area. The mini falafel sandwiches and chicken wings with a special hot sauce called 4 storm was excellent. Overall a great place to visit for drinks and food.
What a change of pace...upscale Fox and Fiddle in the heart of downtown. The food is fresh and made in house, even the ketchup and mayo. So far I've tried the sliders, burger, butter chicken skewers and wings, and they lived up to my expectations. Staff is helpful, they have a great patio and few places in the area that keep the kitchen open until 1am.
Waited 20 minutes for someone to tale my order but it was VERY busy when I arrived. The Shepherd's Pie was filling but unimpressive. Attracts a younger crowd (of which I am not a member). A decent meal at a reasonable cost but nothing to write home about.
