I had an excellent experience ordering food from Levetto at Liberty Village. The people at the restaurant were a delight to talk to and always helpful at giving recommendations of their favorite dishes. Overall, the food was excellent, great service, and awesome location for this restaurant. Definitely will be back again soon.

I met up with a friend here for a pre-home show meal.  My stomach was kind of out of sync from an all you can eat Indian dinner the night before.  This place had some fabulous ratings and it's a walking distance to the CNE grounds.  They have a compact menu comprising mostly of pastas and pizzas.  Since it was our first time here, we decided to try one of each to share.  For the pasta, we chose the Carbonara (smoked bacon, black pepper, scallion, egg, and cheese).  From the pizza section, we chose a small Funghi (portobello, oyster, and cremini mushrooms).  The pizza arrived first and it was puffy with a light, crispy, hollow crust.  The mushrooms dominate the taste buds infused with the cheese flavor.  Very nice indeed.  The pasta was just as nice with a firm al dente style texture.  The smoked bacon and scallions dominate the flavor along with the cheese.  I can really taste the freshness and see that they took their time preparing each dish in the presentation.  No wonder this joint constantly get rave reviews.

Do I have a love for pizza? Yes, yes I do. Which brings me to Levetto on Sudbury! A small venue with a trendy interior and eats for all. It's got long tables for seating, so go up to the counter, place your order and grab a seat. Don't forget your drink at the counter!!! . We sat down and waited. We had made a reservation, so they knew we were coming. We had a group of about 15 AND it was busy, but half of the food arrived and then the rest about 15min later. It was a kind of awkward. Luckily, some ordered more than 1 item, so they didn't starve.

Pizza: patate and sopresseta, smalls. Bucatini pasta. The pizzas are crispy and nicely prepared. And pasta is spicy and fresh. It's a comforting, affordable pizza place with a trendy and happy vibe. Will revisit again and again I'm sure!

Levetto is a small pizza shop that appears to have other locations in the Downtown core. This one in particular is off the beaten path and is rather small, but popular nonetheless. The menu here offers a variety of different pizzas and pastas and focuses on the simple aspects behind them all.

Because I'm fat, I had to order both a small pizza and a pasta because I wanted badly to try both (didn't have the girl around to help out). For my pizza, I chose the Soppressata, which was spicy soppressata slices with tomato sauce, mozza cheese, and fresh basil. The slices of meat were tasty, but I barely got any basil which was disappointing. The slices are definitely enough as an appetizer for two or a meal for one.

I also ordered the Rigatoni which comes with a braised beef Ragu. The pasta itself was messy, but that was on account of the bounty of meat that is provided. Good hefty amount of pasta and meat and the ratio is surprisingly pretty even.

The food was tasty and the prices seemed fair. The service did take a bit of time but I came with a larger group so I tend to forgive them a bit. They fill up rather quickly, and with it being such a small place, don't be surprised if you have to end up taking out. Worth a run if you're craving some good pizza/pasta.

What a great place!
This place isn't inexpensive but the prices are extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of food you receive.
I came here with 5 more people and reservations in advance for 7pm.
My group ended up being over a half hour late and the waitstaff was extremely understanding of the situation.
When my group arrived, we decided to order the food family style.
We ordered two medium pizzas (spicy sopressatta and smoked proscuitto), 2 pastas (carbonara, tagliatelle with lobster), and 2 salads (romaine and arugula).
The food was really tasty. The shining stars of the menu were the pizzas, especially the smoked prosciutto pizza.
The tagliatelle with lobster was decent. I found the lobster to be a little overcooked and somewhat stringy.
The carbonara was delicious and the chef was NOT stingy with the bacon 😏
The salad dressings were served with the dressing on the side. I personally wasn't a fan of that. The chefs should use their discretion when dressing a salad.
I was happy with the portions because they could easily be shared amongst 6 people.
The waitstaff was very friendly but could have been a little more attentive. The food was a little slow to come out but that was understandable because everything is made fresh on the premises.
With all the food we ordered, and splitting the bill, the total came out to about $13 per person with tax and tip included.
The establishment, although modern and chic, was really out of the way. It is a hassle to get to using public transit.
I will visit again for their amazing pizzas.

Gord and I had supper this evening at Levetto. We tend to get take-out fairly often (once or twice a month) from them.
I got what I always get ... a mild Soppresata pizza. As usual, it was delicious! I ordered a medium pizza so I could take some home for lunch tomorrow.   Gord bounces back and forth between a pizza and Carbonara ... this evening he got Carbonara.   Michelle took good care of us!

We ordered dinner from here with delivery from Hurrier. The food arrived hot and everything was very flavorful and delicious. We had two pizzas which both had generous amounts of toppings, bacon included. The pasta dishes were fresh, well balanced and have great amounts of meat. There was plenty for the two of us to have for dinner the next day and it was just as good reheated.

We will definitely order from here again and hope to visit in the near future.

Best Romano style pizza in Toronto. Light, crispy crusts and layered flavours are hallmarks for Levetto's interpretation of traditional, Roman-style "walking" pizza. Salads and pasta here are ok, it is really the pizza that leads their menu.

Levetto is a hidden gem! Their fresh pasta and unbeatable prices makes it a weekly go-to. Servers are always ready friendly and the wait times are almost non-existent!

I had read many positive reviews for Levetto, and after reviewing the menu and the prices, I knew that I had to pay them a visit with my friends. I reviewed the Levetto website carefully, and I couldn’t find any information about whether they took reservations or not – many restaurants will note that you can’t make reservations or they tell you what you need to do to make a reservation. So what I did was send Aly MacGregor an email (she is in charge or press and media inquiries) and she arranged a reservation for myself and my friends. Aly not only addressed all my questions, and reservation changes (a very patient lady she is), she made sure to follow-up on our experience the day after our reservation. One highlight of my communication with Aly was when I asked about gluten-free options for my friend Karen who really wanted to join us for dinner (Levetto does not have gluten-free options on their menu), and she spoke to Chef Shahir Massoud (Corporate Executive Chef for Levetto) about my query, and Levetto agreed to look into this for us.

The day before our reservation, I received a Twitter message that read, "Look Itanni! Gluten-free pasta!" And there was an image of Chef Shahir making fresh gluten-free pasta. How incredible is that?! So I immediately contacted Karen, and she was thrilled for the opportunity to join us and not have to stick to salads.

On the evening of our reservation I strolled in ON TIME, and as usual my guests were already there, seated. Argh Once I greeted everyone I went to look for Chef Shahir to thank him for what he had done for Karen. I was relieved to see that Chef Shahir was there this evening (they had recently opened the College location, so it was very likely that he would be at the College location). When I introduced myself and thanked him for the reservation and the gluten-free pasta, he flipped it around and said, "no THANK YOU! We are so excited to have you and your friends join us. I wanted to be here to meet you all. Aly really wanted to come as well but there was a scheduling conflict." Awww! It often shocks me when a restaurant that is doing so well, can be so humble. But then it is because of restaurants and service like the one we received at Levetto that will keep from returning to a restaurant that has amazing food, and a self-righteous attitude.

The Menu

The menu is split into 5 sections:

Pasta ($8-$13)

Pizza - they come in three sizes: personal (4 pieces), medium (6 pieces), large (guessing 8 pieces) and the prices range from $6.50-$31

Salad ($8-$9)

Specials

Desserts ($6)

Every single one of my guests were blown away by the food. It was not only delicious, but the ingredients were fresh, the pasta was made from scratch, great portions, and there was definitely value for money. We also lucked out in the dessert department. If you check-in to Yelp, you get a free dessert, so we all got a different dessert so we could share and try all three. My personal favorite was the Tiramisu, followed closely by the Warm Brown Butter & Coconut Semolina Cake that was served steaming hot, and then the Panna Cotta. But really, it comes down to your taste preference: if you like rich go with the cake, if you like creamy go with the tiramisu, if you like tart and not-so-sweet desserts, then go with the panna cotta.

After dinner Chef Shahir made sure to check-in with every guest, and shared with us how he became a chef and some stories from his time in New York. I told him that I was flying to Italy the following week, and that when I returned I would teach him a thing or two about Italian food. ;)

Thank you to the team at Levetto and Aly for making this wonderful evening happen for us. Since this dinner, almost all my friends have returned, and at least 4 are now regulars. Now I am dying to see how the College location is doing. I hope it's just as good as the Liberty Village location since the College location is closer to where I live.

See you soon Levetto!

xo

P.S. Karen wanted me to tell you that Chef Shahir packed up the left over pasta for her to take home. She told me that she had enough fresh pasta for a week, and it was delicious (chef Shahir taught her how to keep it fresh at home).

Love it here! The Carbonara is the best, also really enjoyed the Cavatelli with Pesto. They use only fresh pasta and it makes a big difference. And Brad is awesome 👍

Original, fresh and well priced. Been a couple times, had pizza and rigatoni, the rigatoni is unreal, ignore the comments about microwaving. This could become a TO chain overnight.

Levetto   currently has 5 locations (soon to be 6) across Ontario and one thing is clear, if you're looking for great Italian food with affordable prices, Levetto is the place to go! If you want to find a location in downtown Toronto, you won't have to look far as they have recently opened up shop in Liberty Village and in Dufferin Grove on College Street.  After having been to the Liberty Village location for a delicius lunch and the College St. location for dinner, Levetto definitely isn't one to compromise quality as more locations open up. All their pasta is made from scratch in-house and what we love most are the generous portions, as everyone knows we can eat our way through a meal. Most of their pastas range from $8-13 and considering that they're made from scratch, that's a good price for all the TLC that goes into making it! The space is modern and casual but it still feels homey and offers high quality authentic Italian cuisine.  Their menu offers a variety of traditional and unique Italian dishes from scratch made pastas, romano pizzas, fresh-as-can-be salads and delectabe desserts. They even take extra care into the presentation of their dishes as you can see below! Some of our favourite dishes included the Funghi Pizza with its rich truffle oil and the Pea Pesto Gnocchi. That was an extremely innovative dish and a good way to get your veggies in without even realizing it! Nancy's Baby Kale Salad Baby kale, apples, watermelon radish sunflower seeds Misticanza Salad ($8.00) Shaved fennel, radish, mixed greens, orange & fresh dill Arugula Salad ($9.00) Goat's cheese, dried apricot, white wine vinaigrette & pumpkin seeds Rigatoni ($13.00) slow-braised beef ragu, grana padano & chives This was comfort food at its best only we didn't have to do any of the prep work, best of both worlds! Cavatelli ($11.00) Pea pesto, roasted red pepper, baby spinach, white truffle oil & ricotta Carbonara ($10.50) Smoked bacon, cracked black pepper, egg, scallion & grana padano

I went to Levetto with a few friends. Presently they have nothing on their menu for those of us who can't ingest gluten but my awesome friend contacted them awhile ago and asked that they prepare something I could eat. I really wasn't sure what to expect.
The wonderful and very charming chef Shahir Massoud went above and beyond and created his own fresh pasta! I could then have any pasta dish on the menu with the substituted noodles. I had the braised beef Ragu and it and the pasta were both delicious and filling.
My friends who could try the pizza as well were all really impressed with the flavours.
Was a tiny bit jealous - but too full to mind.
Value for money is really good here.
Chef Shahir plans on adding the GF pasta to the menu but as he is aware of the cross contamination issues there is a bit of work to get the restaurants equipped and ready.
Hopefully by then he can also come up with a gluten-free dessert option?!:)

On December 11th , Levetto had their pasta and pizza filled media launch for the opening of their new Liberty village location and you can bet the Abbey’s Kitchen Team was on location for the first bite.

Levetto has been undergoing a great expansion, with restaurants in Vaughan, Waterloo, Baden, and anticipating locations on Toronto’s College Street and in Burlington. Known for their pastas made fresh daily, and classic Romana style pizzas, you can bet your boots it’s going to be a great addition to the Toronto pizza scene.

Nestled away in the quiet and quaint Sudbury Street, Levetto was buzzing with foodies and food media and the man of the hour – Chef  Shahir Massoud was a great host and made some delicious dishes for everyone to indulge in!

Rigatoni with Braised Beef ($13)
With such a hearty portion of braised beef and aromatic basil, every bite was packed with meaty flavour. A very generous portion, too, perfect for these cold winter nights when you need something cozy and warm.

Trecce Pasta ($8.50)
Spinach, Goats Cheese, Sundried Tomato
A beautiful and minimalistic dish, made with garlic infused olive oil, sweet chewy sundried tomato, creamy goats cheese, arugula and a kick from chilli. This would make a really satisfying vegetarian main for veg-heads and carnivores, alike.

Soppressata Pizza ($7 -$26)
A super flavourful pizza with spicy soppressata, crushed tomato sauce, Fior di Latte, and herbaceous basil! This pizza could easily feed a crowd but you’ll surely have a tough time sharing. Fantastic.

Patate Pizza ($7-$26)
Made with Yukon gold potato, bright green onion, fragrant rosemary, creamy ricotta, umami-rich white truffle oil, and salty grana padano. This heavenly pie was packed with earthy warm flavours that were perfect for a chilly winter night.

Smoked Prosciutto Pizza ($8-$29)
This pie was sweetened up with the help of the Middle Eastern medjool date sauce made with unctuous speck, fresh arugula, milky Fior di Latte, and yummy toasted almond. This is definitely not a combination you’ll see on most traditional Italian joints, but I was totally swooning over the unique fusion of flavours.

Pomodoro ($8)
Round thick al dente noodles tossed generously with a rich Tomato sauce, garlic infused olive oil, fresh basil and a mountain of grana padano. Simple, but well done.

Affumicato Pizza ($8-$28)
Made with smoky crisp bacon, mozzarella, a sweet tomato sauce, mushrooms, and sharp scallions- this was a really fun take on a Canadian style pie. No complaints from this bacon lover here.

Verde Pizza ($7-$26)
A great healthy, vegetarian alternative to the more heavily oiled or meat filled pies- just check out all of the stunning colours and flavorus going on! This baby was topped with a verdant basil pesto, juicy cherry tomatoes, sweet caramelized onions, baby spinach, bitter radicchio, and Fior di Latte. Surprising light but still very satisfying.

Margherita Pizza ($12-$24)
A traditional fresh Margherita pizza made with crushed tomato sauce, melty mozzarella and basil- for those who crazy a classic.

Panna Cotta
A light creamy custard topped with seasonal compote, crumbled amaretti cookie, and a dash of sweet cinnamon. A must try finish to an Italian feast.

If you love a comfortable atmosphere to indulge in great pasta and pizza with a date, a group or friends or the whole familia, Levetto is definitely the place for you! Levetto is located at 68 Sudbury Street with an upcoming location on College St as well! For more information, you can visit their website here!
