Lots of delicious meals and amazingly flavoured drinks. Much needed new dining place at Shops and Don Mills. Great customer service and restaurants atmosphere is just so calming. Highly recommend to experience dinner at their summer patio.
My wife and I chose to have Fridate at GLOW Fresh Grill & Wine Bar. Excellent choice by my wife. Dinner service looked busy but good thing we made reservations. Got seated in a booth which was great. Adds to the romantic effort. Our server was great and helpful. Ambiance was cozy & romantic but a little dark hard to read the menu. We ordered the Margarita pizza for starters which was delicious baked to perfection. Didn't want to eat it all, saving space for the entrée. My wife ordered the grilled salmon with shanghai noodles. Salmon was cooked perfectly but noodles could be better. My choice was the grilled angus steak tender & charred just right served with Yukon mash and asparagus. Perfect combination! No more space for dessert, too full! Hehehe! Definitely worth the price and worth coming back.👍🏼

Our Saturday morning neighbourhood has changed, so we decided to give Glow a try for lunch. It was after 1 pm, and the restaurant was less than half full.
Since it was the weekend, the brunch menu was also available. I chose the Smoked Salmon Benedict. Our server asked how I wanted the eggs, and I said runny, and that is exactly what I got. The salmon was smokey and succulent, sitting on top of toasted multigrain bread that offered a pleasant crunch, and also helped to sop up the runny eggs. The whole dish was topped with a nice lemon dill sauce.
SWMBO opted for the Pesto Chicken Pizza. It was huge, so I ended up having less of my roasted potatoes and helping SWMBO with her pizza. Lots of tender chicken with diced tomatoes and red onions, all on a light pesto sauce. Good pizza.
Service was very polite and friendly. The meal was a bit pricey for lunch, but was nicely done.

The chicken flatbread for appetizer was awesome. So flavourful! Ordered the kale shrimp salad as my main dish. The portion sizes were very generous - plentiful shrimp, and light citrus taste. Server could have been more knowledgeable on menu options. But overall an awesome experience. Will be back to try other menu options.
Just really great food. I've been there twice now and I can't wait to go back. The butter chicken is so good and comes with a delicious tomato salad. The meals always start with bread and three types of tasty dip. The yogurt berry dessert is tart and warm and so homey. Plus valet parking is free with an entree!

We came to the shops at don mills in one of the last nice Saturdays of the summer and decided to take advantage of the weather to get one last patio brunch in before we would have to huddle inside for warmth.
Glow is located in the middle of the shops at don mills next to the fake grass patch in the summer and the skating rink in the winter. Its menu is designed by rose reisman, with an emphasis on healthy good food
The patio is nice and comfortable, you can sit at traditional tables and chairs or sit at cushioned booth surrounded by greenery and flowers. They also have frondy palm trees. Nice, just one step below the pickle barrels urban jungle oasis.
So I have read a lot about the service being bad. Well this last time visiting was the first time I actually experienced that. I would like to think our server was tired, either from working multiple jobs or from partying the night before. My friend says he was high. I did agreed but after observing him staring off into nothing for 10 minutes while standing perfectly still I might have to agree. Yikes. He was not the most attentive server considering.
So I got the glow salad with added chicken and a coffee and a bruchetta flatbred with added chicken.
The salad was awesome. Berries nuts, a fresh citrus dressing on a bed of fresh mixed greens. Tasted like summer. With the added chicken it was a heck of a lot of food. I can eat a lot, and by the end
My friends flatbred looked awesome. She loved it, said it was well seasoned and could have eaten two. :)
All in all, the service kinda sucked this time, but the food was delicious!!
Friendly service. Both the Pickerel and Tuna dishes very tasty.
Good salad. Went to glow for the first time in a warm sunny day and the patio was wonderful. I think is a good place mind you I tried the salad with hazelnuts and icerberg lettuce portions are small the dessert had an interesting presentation and was good. I like to go back to hear the jazz band in the patio.
Very good place. The decorations inside and outside are very appealing, the wait was long, but not too long. The servers were on the ball and were polite. The menu had a variiety of entrees, which all sounded very appetizing. The food I ordered came in good time and tasted delicious. Dessert was very satisfying and it was a wonderful expereince.
Great place. I love coming to eat here for lunch during the week or dinner on weekends. The fact you can eat for an extremely reasonable price, and HEALTHY is the best part. Not to mention the great atmosphere and friendly staff! I have never had an issue while dining here, nor will I ever.

Very Very Good. For one, the place looks amazing! The lineup isn't long at all, and the servers knew what they were doing, plus they were very professional. The menu was very lengthy and all the dishes sounded fantastic. I had the shrimp pesto linguined, and it was splendid, I highly recommend it to anyone who goes there. This place is fantastic and I am definitely coming back here.
Went on family day with my mother and sister. Since we are healthy eaters the menu appealed to us. The restaurant itself was upscale looking and in a great location. The place was packed, but we were seated quickly. We ordered the fish tacos which were bland and not impressive at all. The bunless turkey burger was nice to look at but the meat was naturally sweet and the addition of the chutney and sweet potatos made the dish more sweet the savory. And last and most disappointing was the Thai steak salad, not much steak, the greens where not green but the white part of romaine lettuce and worst of all the dressing was soooo salty from the soya sauce, that was not edible. All in all the bill was 55$ of disappointment. I would give it one more chance in the future.
One of a Kind. First of all, the place looks Amazing!! Inside and outside, the decorations are very lively and exciting. I took my girlfriend here for a date and getting a table wasn't that long of a wait. The servers were very polite and had a positive attitude. The menu was very diverse and they had a lot of very appealing entrees.
Amazing Place. This is my first review on this website and I must say that this is an amazing restaurant! The place looks so fancy and the servers are very nice and polite. The food comes quickly and when I went, there was a live jazz band which was pretty awesome. There was a variety of dishes to choose from, plus a very large wine selection. My dinner was very delicious and filling but I've got to say that dessert was the best part. For dinner, I had the lamb shank and dessert was the seasonal warm fruit crumble. Overall a great place, definitely worth coming here.
Half price wine and amazing food!. Came here on a Monday, which is "half price on wine day", and my god was it busy! First off, How crazy is it that Glow has Half Price Wine!? I was astounded, since I could get a $300 bottle for $150 which is a pretty good deal. Like I said before, it was very busy when I got there, but the wait wasn't that long. To start, I had the daily soup, which was really good and had a riesling 2009 for half price (best deal ever!). For the main course, I had a shrimp pesto linguine, which was delicious, was more than satisfied after that. I still can't get over the fact that this restaurant has this kind of a deal and I think they are the only fine dining restaurant that does such a thing. Overall, a great restaurant with great deals.
Great Place, Great Food. I took my family here for dinner and we all loved it. The place looked great and the atmosphere was very lively. My wife and I were very happy with the service and how the waiters took care of the kids. The food was delicious and came very quickly compared to your average restaurant. I was very pleased that they had an outstanding menu for children, which consisted of very unique delicious dishes. Overall, a very good restaurant.

Enjoyable in Every Way!!!. This was my first trip to Glow and to be honest a last minute reservation made with slight trepidation, given the "less than glowing reviews." I wanted to try the restaurant but after reading the reviews was somewhat skeptical.
Nonetheless we went anyway and were more than pleasantly surprised.
Upon arrival we were served flat bread with dips - a humus, babaganoush and a red dip (not sure what it was). All were delectable. We shared the new appetizer dish consisting of Quesadilla with brie, cranberries, pistachio, etc on gluten free tortillas with a honey drizzled on top. YUM!!! Our entrees were as follows: 2 people had the Mediterranean Tilapia (maybe a touch salty but still good), one person had the Veal Scallopini and the fourth had the Striploin Angus Steak. We all enjoyed our meals...not leaving a single scrap. I might add that the portions were definitely generous!!! For dessert we selected from the sampler. A nice little portion ensuring that we could eat dessert and not feel too guilty.
The service and ambience were spectacular. Our waiter John was friendly courteous and very gracious. The decor contemporary sleek and inviting.
We were pleasantly surprised and would definitely recommend this restaurant!!!!
Great place. Was very happy to go here--very good food and service. Great ambience (it was summer/fall, so we sat outside on the patio) as well. I liked the fresh and healthy options on the menu. Meals were filling, but you didn't feel stuffed. Would definitely return!

Wonderful evening!. I was a bit apprehensive due to some of the previous reviews but was absolutely delighted with our experience at Glow. Everyone on staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. Our waiter gave us perfect recommendations for all of our courses- we weren't disappointed. The food was divine! And when we had trouble deciding on dessert, he told us to pick the additional one and it would be his treat. I can't wait to go back!
Awesome Food and Atmosphere. Gorgeously outfitted, exemplary service - delcious light and fresh fare... Had the lobster mac and cheese - to die for.. Also don't miss the dessert minis - $3 each and local treats -I had the Dulce de Leche with Carrot Cake... Don't come famished or you'll be disappointed.. Love It.. I live in the neighbourhood and I was so excited when they started work on the Shops at Don Mills. Finally some new trendy stores and great eats were introduced to the area. I have now tried all the restaurants at the shops and Glow is by far my favourite! I was so disappointed when it caught fire mid-summer but it has just re-opened so my girl friends and I went down for dinner last Saturday night.
I must say, I was impressed with how much the service and portions had improved. To start, the waiter brought delicious dips and herbed pita and crackers to the table (a fantastic replacement for boring white bread and butter!). I had the beet salad for an appetizer and the rainbow trout for dinner. My friends had the black cod, seafood pasta and steak. All our meals were delicious and different! The restaurant really mixes up old favourites to give them a new and exciting twist of flavours, without the deep frying and heavy fat of most restaurants.
The atmosphere was great, the restaurant was full but not too loud and overcrowded. Our waiter was a hoot, so friendly and knowledgeable on the food and wines. We stayed quite late drinking and enjoying dessert. After the meal, our waiter brought over a tray of these 100 calorie dessert shooter, all different flavours. We had to try all of them, they were so good and guilt free!
I would definitely recommend Glow, it has become my restaurant of choice!
