We got Pancit Sampaguita --two types of noodles packed with shrimp, lechon kawali, veggies

--Lechon Kawali (roasted crispy pork belly, a best-seller)—so crispy and the layer of fat is minimal

--Inihaw na Liempo (grilled pork belly)—wonderfully -marinated...notice how we love pork belly?

--Crispy squid—nicely deep-fried, which the girls loved

--Pinakbet (stewed eggplant, okra and other veggies in sautéed shrimp paste) –so there was some semblance of healthy, if you overlook the bagoong (shrimp paste)

--and of course, garlic rice to go well with all the delicious dishes.

Each order is a good value at about $10-15+ with the Lechon Kawali, as expected, being more expensive. They also have House Combos for approximately the same price if you’d like to try a little bit of each house specialty.

We ordered a lot, but anything we couldn’t finish would be taken home. And it did last for another meal for us! How’s that for worth it?! This place is definitely a family favourite!

Anytime I want Filipino food, I always end up at Sampaguita Village. Always.

This little place is located on Wilson Ave near a bunch of other Filipino restaurants, but this standalone truly is the best of the bunch. The place itself is rather small and the decor inside resembles a cheesy island restaurant. The menu has all these Filipino dishes with some Chinese thrown into it as well. They have dinner combinations for around $11, which includes rice and some vegetables.

For appetizers, try their Fried Shrimp, which is deep fried shrimp with the shell and head on. There is a bit of coating on them and you can make them spicy for $2. The fried shrimp are large and meaty and if you don't mind the work of peeling them, are very good. Lumpia Shanghai are like Filipino spring rolls but filled entirely with meat. Not the biggest fan, but so many people just gobble these things up.

The Lechon Kawali (deep fried pork belly) is pretty good. They definitely have fattier pieces than you would like, but the portion size is huge and tastes so good. The BBQ Chicken and BBQ Pork are incredible. I love the simple marinade that the chicken and pork are in. They are then grilled and served with all-purpose sauce (hot sauce is also a must - just a bit of sriracha). The Crispy Chicken with House Sauce is probably my favorite. Fried strips of breaded chicken with light vinegar and served with their house sauce, which is just like soy sauce with vinegar and peppers.

Pancit Sampaguita is a noodle dish consisting of meats, thick noodle, and thin vermicelli noodle as well. I'm not a fan of the Pancit but the girlfriend really loves it. There is a lot of it, but I find that the noodles are pretty greasy and don't have too much flavor to it. If you can, do get the Garlic Fried Rice, it's simply fried rice tossed with garlic, but it's done so well and isn't greasy in the slightest. Garlic is present, but doesn't even overpower you either.

This place becomes an absolute zoo on the weekends for dinner. I feel like the entire Filipino community comes here during that time. The owner walks around freely conversing with the folks as if they were family. Really do love the place and if you like Fiilpino food and haven't come by yet, you ought to.

Good food, ambience so so.. Good Filipino / Chinese restaurant.
The food are delicious and reasonably priced.

The place is small and is always packed.
Parking is also a problem.

Side note, I ordered Halo Halo. They top it with Vanilla ice cream and not Ube ice cream.
Later on my way out, I saw the owner lady and suggested to her that they should use Ube ice cream on their Halo Halo to be more authentic. She said they don't like Ube Ice cream.

I go there as often as I can ( if I am in the area ), but I don't order Halo Halo anymore.

I've been here on two occasions for family dinners. Smaller sized restaurant and with a very strong and loyal fanbase so always a wait for a table! That's a good testament to the menu offerings I suppose. Between both visits, we've always stuck with the classic Filipino staples...pancit Sampaguita, BBQ pork fried rice, lechon kawali, crispy chicken, grilled BBQ chicken, mixed vegetables, kare kare, etc. Portions are HUGE! The fried rice dish, especially, is served on a dish about the size of a skillet! Service is quite fast...helps to preorder while waiting for a table. Of course, Filipino food is always a carnivorous fest so a battle for the health-conscious. No complaints from the meat-eaters though. Nice Filipino restaurant that's a fam fave for us.

Looks can be deceiving, the curb appeal disappoint and so is the inside space but the food is absolutely delicious, our go to place for pot luck parties or quick take out. Will recommend over and over!

Excelent food, but small and basic decor. Food very tasty, good selection.

Place was completely packed, with a huge lineup on Saturday afternoon. Probably should be expanded.

Very basic appearance, dated furniture and crowded.

Would still go back for the food, though.

Garlic fried rice very good, Philippine steak good, chicken with broccoli also recommended

Delicious, good service. The lechon kawalai is delicious. We also ordered fried calimari (pritong pusit) . It came with just the right amount of batter (not too much) and had excellent texture (not rubbery). The fried garlic rice was pretty amazing too.

The service is excellent and the food came very quickly and all at once.

Dowdy, no-frills decor but delicious food. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Once seated, our food came quickly and our servers were super friendly. The vibe at this restaurant feels like enjoying a meal at a relative's house.

The standouts were the perfectly crispy lechon kawali (deep fried pork belly), grilled tilapia, and garlic fried rice. Next up: deep fried pusit (squid).

Messy. Looked like a place from 'Restaurant Makeover' before the make over. Random slippers and paintcans at the entrance, and dirty/sticky menus. Food is tasty, ambiance is lacking.

Sampaguita Village does have a feel of a down to earth hole in the wall restaurant in a little village where everyone drop by for dinner.

This place was packed and the parking lot was a nightmare. I ended up parked at one of the meters on the side streets, even paying for parking was worth it compare trying to fight for a free spot in the parking lot.

Since I was with a regular of Sampaguita Village, I left the ordering to the expert and ended up we shared:

BBQ Chicken ($4.95)

Pancit Sampaguita ($11.95)

Spicy Shrimp ($11.55)

The food was tasty and portion size was more than enough for 3 of us to share.

The service here is fast and friendly.

Tips: the pop or ice tea costs $2.50 a can?! Seriously.... don't care that!
