Really good, spicy pad thai that's my go to item whenever im here. The burger is pretty good too but not the biggest........................
Simple. Friendly servers, tasty food, good prices
Its possibly the cheapest pub in Toronto that you can eat the food in.
Trendy local pub + good value = smiles. This place opened up around a month ago, taking the place of a Japanese restaurant that had flamed out after only a few months of operation last year. I live quite close and was excited to see it was a pub opening, at least something to give Clinton's competition!
First off, the opening promotion of $4 pints and $12 pitchers has been fantastic. There's a solid lineup of draught beers, including some wild cards like Sapporo and Blanche de Chambly. If the regular menu is to be believed, the beer prices will climb only slightly higher after the promotion is finished.
As for the pub grub, I can report a very favourable review on the burger, a mixed review on the mango salad, and a ho-hum sentiment towards the wings.
Mainly, though, this place seems like it's going to be a great local to have in the area. The music selection is pretty good (we got a full James Brown album the other night!) although it can be a bit loud upstairs. The patio is well appointed with comfy wicker chairs and the decor is pleasing to the hipster eye.
All in all, it's worth a trip.
