My friend and I were travelling from Montréal and wanted to try a good AYCE sushi place. K&B sushi was it, and we weren't disappointed.
The menu options are diverse and they definitely have something for everyone. The service is quick, the waiters are helpful and nice, especially knowing that we were there on a very crowded night. The price is right, average for that kind of restaurant.
The food was very good, nothing disappointed us. I would definitely recommend trying their soups as well as the spicy salmon roll.
The seating is nice, looks very classy for an AYCE restaurant. The only thing that disappointed us was how close the tables were from each other. We could hear everyone around us' conversation, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was very loud. I would expect something a bit quieter especially for an Asian restaurant.
Overall, if you're looking for a great AYCE experience, definitely try K&B
'Twas indeed a most seriously startling gastronomical experience. A veritable gastronomer's paradise.
The sashimi was rather fresh. The salads were exquisite and refreshing.
The unagi pancake was the best ever. Shrimp dumplings were formidably stupendous in flavour and texture.
The washroom are beautifully maintained and rather hygienically cleaned.
Management very friendly. The service superlative superior.
Well done the. Worthy of kudos and 5 stars.
We ordered a sushi boat and it was amazing. Lots of different sashimi types and rolls that weren't just your standard California. Tempura order was well done and the teriyaki chicken was delicious. The staff are courteous. All in all we had a wonderful dining experience.
Their Sushi is good.I also liked the other varieties of Asian appetisers that they have there.Liked the way they were bringing food till we asked them to stop. The green tea ice cream was fantastic. Will go back again for sure.
My first time ordering food from an iPad at a sit down restaurant. My first day in Toronto too. I was there 2 weeks ago and I still remember enjoying the food with the family.so many options! The deep fried milk was something that I wanted to try when I saw their desert options, and it was good - but the size was a little disappointing. The beef sashimi was delicious!!! I am definitely going to come back again with my hubby and this time it'll be on me. I wish they had a K & B Sushi where I am from!
TIP: If you're going to this restaurant, dine with a BIG group of people... Just in case you order too much. Because sometimes the food that your order, everyone in your group would sample what you got and you'll sample theirs. Places can charge you if you a little more if you order too much and won't finish the food. It's a share affair but good memories to be made.
K+B sushi and Asian kitchen is located on The Queensway where the former Hollywoods bar was located. The owners of K+B have done a beautiful full reno and have brought us an upscale looking restaraunt with a comfortable and nonpretentious feel. The interior is a mixture of warm woods, dark soft lighting and large comfortable seating. We decided on having the all you can eat menu and we were not disappointed at all. The menu is on an ipad type of device and is a very extensive. K+B offers everything from the usual sushi fare to Udon soups,Pad Thai and Dim Sum. Now normally I worry when a restaraunt has such an extensive menu, can a kitchen really focus on serving quality items when the menu is so broad? We decided to try a variety of items to see how good it would be and K+B comes through! We started off with a variety of appetizers and everything we tried was excellent. The Sunomono salad is very good and the presentation is excellent. Our 2 year old had a strawberry salad which he really enjoyed. I tried the beef Udon soup which came screaming hot. It is a deep, rich and flavourful soup that comes packed with noodles and beef. I was seriously impressed how good it was considering this was an AYCE place. We then ordered various preices of sushi and sashimi and again found the quality to be excellent. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. There is always someone close by to grab empty dishes and answer any questions about the menu items. The manager is also very attentive and constantly is roaming the floor checking up on things. Onto ordering some rolls... Which we found to be very tasty, but they didn't match the photo representation on the menu which was a little disapointing. Compared to the other items we had, the rolls were a little pedestrian and didn't have the artistic presentation of the other items. On to dessert. K+B has the usual red bean, green tea, chocolate, vanilla, and coconut ice cream. Our 2 year old devoured my coconut ice cream which was good. The mango pudding leaves something to be desired...it's a little loose and watery. But the one item I spotted on the menu that I thought to be unusual and had to try was the fried milk! I ordered a single piece and upon arrival we saw a golden fried little rectangle that when cut into showed a soft milky white interior. The coating was a a light panko crust, and the dish is sweet but not overly sweet. A pleasant little dish that has a palate cleansing quality. Over all K+B is a great restaurant. The AYCE menu is $26.95 per person which is pretty much standard and our 2 year old was another $4. I didn't give it 5/5 as the special rolls are tasty but are not as special looking as they make them out to be. Also, as much as I like all the beautiful wood throughout, I feel that the owners could just do a little more with the decor as the large wood panelled walls look a little stark. Overall a nice addition to the Etobicoke dining scene.
We have been to a lot of AYCE sushi places, mostly in Mississauga and Brampton. KB is clean, comfortable, fresh and currently out favorite. You know when the sashimi is so fresh you have trouble picking it up. It was today! There was also a great $5.00 off lunch promo if you like KB on Facebook until Aug 20, 2015.
There are lots of high quality all-you-can-eat sushi spots in the GTA, but none in the south Etobicoke neighbourhood until now. K&B Sushi on the Queensway offers an amazing selection of Japanese, Korean and Chinese cuisines and sushi chefs that know their stuff.
