Loved this little place on Queen Street.
Great service
I had a salad and hubs had chicken green curry. The curry was so good we got a take out for dinner too !
Lunch menu is just 10 bucks which is pretty decent and you get a curry + rice/noodles + spring roll. You can also get pad thai etc. Would definitely recommend this place if yoy are around.
We randomly dropped in this restaurant as we were exploring Queen Street and we were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Toronto has lots of good Thai places, and this one is pretty legit. We had the pad thai and the padang curry. Pad Thai was very authentic and super flavorful, the tamarind was very present and well balanced. The Padang curry was very thick (probably more coconut cream than milk) and tasty with lots of chicken. They served with purple rice which was nice. Prices are a bit higher (15-17 range), but the portion size and quality more than make up for it.
Good service, clean dining room, kids friendly, and great food! Would recommend.
One of the better Thai take outs I've had in a while. I tried the chicken pad Thai, the shrimp pad Thai (two pad Thais, why not), and the veggie tofu glass noodles. It came with on the house spring rolls. Everything was delicious! The dishes have lots of sauce which I really like. The pad Thai isn't orangey which is great. Will definitely order again.
This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. I've tried over half of the menu and it's all delicious. Favorites are yellow curry, spivey cashew nut chicken, mango salad. Highly recommend for eat in or take out!
The best Thai food I have eaten in Southern Ontario. This place was the best mistake I have ever made. Some friends and I were looking to get into the bar next door to have a few drinks but they were full so we decided to sit on the nice small patio that Thai Elephant has while waiting for room next door. We ordered some drinks and then decided that food would be a good joice. Wow was it ever. If your looking for true authentic Thai food this is the place to go. Prices were resonable as well.
Absolutely delish! When on Q.... Absolutely delish! Whenever I'm on Queen West, I try to dine there. My fave Thai restaurant, hands down. Nothing exciting in terms of decor but the food is truly outstanding.
Great food! It was fresh and hot when delivered. Fast delivery too. Very clean packaging. Order was easy and friendly service.
I live pretty close by, so the convenience of this place, for me, is pretty top notch. They do free delivery to a small, close-range delivery zone.
Today I got the massaman beef curry dish (one of the "popular" menu items). I can see, 100%, why it is. That's some of the best curry I've ever had. Pretty close to the best. Best I've had in Toronto, for sure. That's going to be a staple anytime I order drolm these fyys again.
As far as service goes, top notch. Quick phone call to order, or use just-eat, and today it was 15 minutes flat before I had food in hand.
I whole heartedly recommend the Thai Elephant. Across the board the food us great, as is the service.
Top notch.
We just moved to the neighborhood and wanted to grab dinner close to home yesterday evening, we tried Thai Elephant based on the rating on here and we will definitely be returning, probably many times! The food was great, we had chicken satay skewers and avocado salad to start, both excellent, the satay sauce was delicious and the salad was crisp and fresh and a really good portion. For main we had Curry Pad Thai and Panang Curry, my husband is a big Pad Thai fan and rated this very highly. The Panang curry was thick, creamy and delicate. The staff are also very pleasant. Thumbs up!
Amazing Pad Thai!. One of the best I've ever had. Great portion size and great price.
Yummy!. Ordered the spring rolls, red curry, sticky rice and pad Thai. Red curry was amazing! Lot's of veggies and chicken. The pad Thai was vegetarian - not a lot of tofu but tons of veggies like broccoli which isn't common in pad Thai. Not very greasy and great flavour. Spring rolls were pretty good. Overall one of the best Thai dinners we have ever had. Definitely ordering from here again!
Holy Takeout!. We ordered delivery a couple of weeks ago, and needless to say it was the best delivery experience of my life. The food came in under 45 min, and it was very well-priced ($53 all-total for 3 people and we went ALL OUT). Two orders of cold rolls (the least exciting thing, but the dipping sauce was good), mushroom soup, an order of shrimp pad thai, cashew nut chicken, and basil eggplant and sticky rice for me. I tried everything except the chicken, and it was all to die for. Very flavourful and fresh with lots of herbs and beautiful colours and sauces. One of my new favourite thai places, but not sure about dining in- the service sounds a little sketchy from previous reviews. Do not be afraid t order delivery, if you love spicy flavourful thai food you will love this place!
BEST Panang Curry in Toronto.. Ive eaten at all the great Thai spots in Toronto a few of them being Golden Thai and Salad king but I suggest you head to Queen west to try out Thai Elephant, you wont be disappointed. The Ladies working are very friendly, the food is always hot and fresh and so very tasty. They have some of the best Currys in Toronto, and maybe the world?(Maybe not) The Chicken Panang curry is to die for, and the Curry Pad Thai is my second favorite. Go to Thai Elephant and I guarantee a great experience of the taste buds.
I have tried a lot of dishes here and it's always Delicious. The mango salad is an incredible portion too. There are a lot of Thai places in the area, this is my rock. Plus there's 10% off pick up.
Best Pad Thai. My partner and I go searching for restaurants with great pad thai and I must say this is one of the best places to go.
Their pad thai has extra sauce, which adds extra flavour and they're great about adjusting the order (my partner hates eggs in his pad thai).
During lunch time, they have a special on the pad thai among many others which makes it really affordable too! Too bad they only deliver within a small radius of the restaurant.
Yummy!. Went there for dinner on June 29, 2010 (first time customers).
Portions are generous, including drinks.
We had the Green Mango Salad (tasty), the Chicken N' Peanut (nice, thick consistency, great taste), and the Avocado Tofu & Vegetables (also very tasty). I also had a side order of the Black Sticky Rice, which I loved.
We will definitely go back!
Good food - quick delivery in Liberty Village. Wanted something other than Mike's Liberty Grill and School, so we decided to order takeout from Thai Elephant.
Really good food - ordered chicken pad thai (medium spicy) and mango salad. Was pleased to get 2 free spring rolls. (I think that's for anything over $20 anyway, but was a pleasant surprise). Total was $21. Good value for money as portions are huge. WIll be good for dinner too.
Delivery guy was nice and prompt. Will order again and again. Time for a nap from the food though. zzzzzzzz
Excellent taste. Big portions. Our new fave Thai in the area.
