I wouldn't normally order a sausage based dish in Toronto, only because I came from South Africa and been fairly disappointed here.
I must admit the the spicy sausage was pretty good. The assortment of accoutrement is very refreshing and fresh.
Very good decision for a quick bite to eat
I have a serious problem with this place. I just don't get it. Why are you closed in Sundays BB?!?! I respect religion, but you have repeatedly let me down many a hungover Sunday afternoon! Please fix this!
Damn that was good had the bacon turnkey sub and it was bomb
Good subs. Fresh bread and toppings on a bacon sub made for a satisfying meal. Nice to support a non-franchise place too.
Yummy!. This place makes one good sandwich! I'll be back!
Hits the spot!. My husband, who grew up in the neighborhood, introduced me to this gem.. Now whenever we're visiting the relatives there it's our favorite late night eats. The turkey bacon and bacon combo sandwiches are absolutely delish.
Outstanding. Good old fashioned friendly Greek style restaurant. Open late, affordable, serve Vernors ginger ale... amazing. I love pissing off Mike by putting pickles on the spicy sausage, get's him every time.
Best sub in the city?. How I dread walking into Subway or Mr.Sub. If I am, it's because I basically have to and there are no other options. Belly's, on the other hand, hasn't changed a things since I first had it a decade ago. SImple white or brown buns delivered each morning, only three sauce options (mayo, mustard, sub sauce) and other bare-bones subs. There are no specials, no fancy new subs, no fancy sauces. They do what they do pretty perfectly -- so why try to change it
If you have eaten here then you know. Enough said.
Love Belly's. The best subs and great for late night eats. I would recommend the bacon combo (bacon, ham&turkey) and always get the sub sauce. The staff are always friendly and chatty to regulars. The best of part of going to Belly's is looking back on your glory days of high school with your mugshot on the wall which is not on a photo stream.
Bellys has a cult following. I can't say I'm in love with Bellys as much as everyone else, but they do make a really good sub. On a Tuesday at lunch, the line was 15 people deep - that speaks for something. Everyone gets turkey bacon which is actually turkey + bacon. The ingredients are fresh and it's open super late.
Although subs are generally not something to get excited for, Belly's offers simple, yet very tasty sandwiches, which are perfect for late munchies after a night out. The turkey bacon is one of their pinnacle subs and the first location on Yonge Street is still the best place to go for the original Belly's experience.
