The only reason I am giving it a 4 is bcs it was freezing in there, everybody was wearing their winter jackets.
We order our sushi some of them were nice but we had a problem w the spicy ones, there was only panko and barely any fish in it. So I call the waitress Sinmi to explained, she was very apologetic and told me she was gonna take care of it, she offered to give me something else instead, she was really really nice and so helpful. I was very pleased with the treatment and with the food i received after.
I will definatelly come back to this place.
On a recent Thursday, I had arranged to meet a friend for lunch at Zakkushi on Carlton Street. We were both craving sushi and this restaurant had received great reviews. Alas, it was not to be as we arrived to find that the restaurant doesn’t open until 5:30 p.m. We decided to
I had lunch at the Kibo House today with my girlfriend. We had a craving for sushi but weren't hungry enough to splurge for AYCE. We started off with some edamame ($4) and it was goooood. After that, we had the Maki Platter "A" ($26). This platter came with 6pcs California Roll, 6pcs Spicy Salmon Roll, 10pcs Red Dragon Roll, and 10pcs Dynamite Roll. The rolls were delicious and filling. Although we prefer to do AYCE sushi, this was a nice change up and we would definitely return.
Great Experience - Great Food! Amazing local-run restaurant!. Me and my boyfriend live around the Cabbagetown area - and we always used to pass by Kibo. One day, on our new-found sushi-kick phase, we decided to give it a go. Kibo is a wonderfully delightful local-restaurant offering an amazing selection, great food, and awesome value for your money. The atmosphere is really unique with "semi-private" seating - and an eclectic mix in terms of decor. While there are a number of other sushi places in the area - none have the same feeling as Kibo. And to top it off - the owner Sam has the best personality :) You'll be thoroughly entertained.
Bottom-line: Give Kibo a go! :)
Great experience. Kibo Sushi is a lovely place for a date night - intimate and cozy. My partner and I had our New Years Eve dinner here.
Sam, the owner, is friendly and has a wonderful sense of humour. He made us a special vegetarian love boat which was absolutely delicious. Food is fresh and extremely tasty.
