I’ve always wanted to try Markham Station. What a great place to have a healthy breakfast with my LuB! She had the Eggs Florentine and the usual breakfast for myself. The home fries was cooked to perfection. Her Florentine looked so good I’m having second thoughts about my choice. Busy atmosphere typical for a diner. Service from Thomas was great. Definitely coming back and bringing my Pops next time.
It's a really gigantic restaurant - so even if you see a lineup at the door, it's mostly because there's a bottleneck of not showing people to their seats more efficiently.. don't despair, there will be a seat for you in a moment's time! The menu is pretty expansive for a diner - you've got your all day breakfasts, your sandwiches, your burgers, your dinners, and your souvlaki meals. Service is also attentive... everyone's friendly here.
The pancakes are great - we ordered it at 10pm once, with bacon - best for the before bedtime pecks! I also love that you can pair rice with your breakfasts (it's the same rice that you'd get for the souvlaki), so I always try to get a runny yolk to have the rice soak it all up. I dont know what they do to their fries - it's the same exact fries are McD's!

This place is fine however the owers renovated recently and increased the prices, especially drink prices. Location and neighbourhood dont justify the higher prices and the bar portion of this place is nothing special.
From the outside it doesn't really look that impressive but don't be fooled by that. The place is huge. It has one of those classic diner vibes with friendly servers and free coffee refills and all. The food is pretty decent. For someone who loves breakfast food, it's good to have a place like this in the neighbourhood itself.
I truly believe that Markham Station is a Scarborough gem. Most of the people I’ve met who are from Scarborough has heard of Markham Station. Food truly brings people together😉. I went by again not too long ago and was really surprised at the change of decor! They have renovated their interior to a more classy modern feel compared to their previous decor which gave the impression of an old-school diner. But I really really like the new decor and am happy this place is upgrading because I would be sad if Markham Station ever closes down.

Growing up in Scarborough, Markham Station to me is a solid staple for your morning cheer. Before the invasion of the franchise breakfast chains like Coras or Eggsmart! Markham Station was always the top pick for me! 🙄
My friend had shared with me recently that Markham station was under renovations. I laughed right in her face and denied what she said to be true. Like c'mon? I mean the decor hasn't changed since the beginning of time?Why now?😂 But she wasn't fibbing. I was very blown away from the new face of Markham station. It was transformed to a modern day train station?😮 The dated baby blue train station with the odd floral print wall paper is no longer there?! Instead there stood a modern day train station😶. There were also small accents throughout that reminded me of Milestones/Pickle Barrel. It was refeshing, I must say!😮
The decor may have changed but what hasn't changed is the lovable staff that always makes an effort to ensure that I feel welcomed each time I'm there. The breakfast specials are still there, even the 'early bird' special that I so happened to make it in there for that day was still living strong!😄 Most importantly, the best home fries is also still there! I really do love Markham station and mind you, this statement is coming from a night owl. If I am willing to make an effort to wake up for brekkie it must be a special place! In all honesty it can also be because Markham station represents home to me as I grew up I'm Scarborough.😊 Whatever, the reason may be I will almays love going there!🤗❤..🍴🍳🍛🍞🍉🍵
Ive been coming here on and off for more than 10 years. It started after those late night clubbing days eating burgers or breakfast at 3am. What can i say? The food is good. I usually only go during the morning now and the food has always been consistent and the service is polite and professional. The price of 5.99 is great for the breakfast special. Definately a scarborough cornerstone.
I had dinner here with my son after his hockey game last night. I've been here many times before but it had been years. Happily it hasn't changed.
While I am sure many things on their menu are good, their calling card is all day breakfast, and with that you can't miss. Big omelettes, fluffy pancakes great potatoes (roasted or hash browns). The prices are pretty reasonable and the food is better than your average diner.
The service here was always pretty good, although last night was not stellar. I'll give them a pass on this front given the many good experiences I've had here before.
Total bill for two was $30 tip in, quite reasonable for what you get. If you're in the area, you can't beat Markham Station for all day breakfast.
t wasn’t super fancy but it was a good simple breakfast. I really liked the sausage; it was just salty enough for me. The scrambled eggs were a bit lukewarm for my taste; I wanted them hot off the pan and fluffy and a little runny. But I don’t think you can really complain about a 6 dollar breakfast lol. I really, really enjoyed the roast potatoes though! They were very soft and they reminded us of Greek potatoes.
Great food with a great price. Waitress was good at first but disappeared after we got our food. Waited 20 mins then had to find her for our bill.
I have visited the bar side of this restaurant a few times when craving hot wings and a cold beer. Far from an upscale establishment but delivers on flavour and value.
Good Hamburgers. One of the BEST BURGERS I have ever had!!....Love it
Won't complain anything for 4.99 breakfast! I have been a regular customers for over 4 years and hubby has been coming here since 2003! I like the ambience, friendly waitresses, good service! Hope this diner will do well
Great for locals, great breakfast and good service on the weekends. The place was packed, good value 4.99 for two eggs, bacon and sausages! Definitely worth coming again!

I've been going here since I can remember.Markham Station is the go-to breakfast place. I always get the breakfast special, you can never go wrong.
Ok so now that we've finished eating, and enjoying our coffee..... Markham station. I'm not sure what all these bad reviews are for. My wife and 3 kids stopped in here for breakfast on our way home from an awesome civic long weekend in Toronto. I spotted markham station on our way back to our hotel and after suggesting to my wife to have breakfast there when we realized the continental breakfast at the hotel was pretty bad. I had the 4.99 breakfast special with ham bacon and sausage, my wife had the same, my 3 kids had a ham and cheese omelette, French toast and another special. Good greasy spoon breakfast that was cooked well, and came to the table hot and, in less than 10 mins of placing order. (not microwaved like other reviews insinuate). Wait staff was impressive and very polite. Our waitress was mrs. Johnny on the spot with coffee refills. We all agree.... If we find ourselves in this part of Toronto in the future, this is our breakfast spot of choice.

A 24 Hour Scarborough Diner. An OK 24 hour diner in north-central Scarborough. All-day breakfasts are decent,, other menu items are non-descript.
Food is usually good, which is the only good thing about this place. Cash only is frustrating and the service is always horrible.
Food was great especially the potatoes. Service was even better...our waitress really went the extra mile. Best 24 hour greasy spoon in the area.
24 Diner in Scarborough. Pretty Standard. I love the 24 hour food option. Breakfasts are pretty good. Lots of servers at night. Not too shabby overall.
I like it. I haven't ever had a bad experience ordering something there. The service can be kind of bitchy- not to the patrons, but to each other lol- but i usually either get breakfast or the popcorn shrimp platter, and I'm generally happy with both.
I have never had anything but breakfast but I have never been dissapointed. Often very busy on the weekends. 24 hours for the nighthawks at the diner.
