Mars Uptown Diner is definitely a favourite with locals.
I ordered their (bottomless) coffee and a plate that came with bacon, homefries, two sunny side up eggs and toast.
They were really busy that Sunday morning so I felt rushed by our waitress. They also forgot to bring my toast. Since I enjoy dipping my toast into my eggs, I had to wait for a little while before I could get to the nitty gritty of my meal. By the time I got my toast, it was a little cold. The home-fries were really good and the bacon was nice and crispy.
The best meal was my sisters. It was a stuffed baked apple with granola inside with a fruit salad and yogurt on top. It was huge and it came with a larger than life bran muffin. I'm not usually into any of those things, but if I could have traded meals with her, I would've done so on a heartbeat. I would return solely for the meal my sister ordered.
Nice atmosphere, good music and big portions. Burger was a bit overcooked but eggs benedict were perfect. It was a hot inside as other reviewers mentioned, but overall comfy.
Great breakfast, but they kept the doors open under a 40 degree heat advisory sun! The heat took away from the experience... My mars world famous breakfast was really good, but the California omelette was not very tasty. The staff was very helpful and nice. We'll give it another try...
Our favourite greasy spoon. Kids love the grand slam breakfast. Great cup of diner coffee. Sinfully good home fries. Great service every single time. Very well- managed joint.
Four Dollar Soda. I used to eat here for lunch all the time, until they changed the price on soft-drinks to $3.75. They make a decent burger and excellent fries.
Very cool place at yonge and eglinton. Service is top notch. The guys in the kitchen are very organized and quick. Good breakfast at a fair price. Make sure to tip well becAuse it carries on to the next customer.
Ok, so I've been eating here for over ten years now, but I wouldn't keep coming back if it wasn't fantastic. Good, fresh food, served up in a friendly environment. Check it out!
I saw a sign that said all day breakfast so we decided to head to Mars Diner. It was a cozy little diner. It looked like it was from the late 50s with its red colored seating and metal counters. All that was missing were waitresses on rollerblades dressed in those poofy poodle dresses. I would love to wear one of those poodle skirts for fun. I was craving for breakfast so I decided to order the egg benedict with a side of sweet potato fries and a side of
