Capricciosa, the best pizza.. A fabulous pizza. nice children's menu and play corner. My wife ate a pasta puttanesca. I recommend capricious pizza and pasta puttanesca.
Brunch. The Hawaiian stuffed french toast is a must! Also had the Cowboy Benny. Though the components all tasted great, the brisket overpowered everything else. Very friendly crew.....I imagine it's a great place to hang in the evenings. Great vibes.
Good neighbourhood hangout. Have had several good meals here. Excellent service and good prices.

Lived up to its expectations, had the beef brisket panini and a bowl of their mushroom soup.. Oh yeh and a few steam whistle pints.. Thumbs up!!!
Never Disappointed. Whether we go in for brunch on the weekend or for dinner during the week we are always impressed with the service and the food. Not to mention that I love the tables and catch myself staring at the cut & paste on every visit.
Always wait to hear what's on the menu for the special and check the chalkboard outside for a smile.

Get's an A!. If you haven't heard of this place yet, just wait, as it appeared on the show "You Gotta Eat Here" and was jam packed the first time we went (Sun around 11am). We tried again on a Thursday night and it was buzzing but not busy, which is nice. We tried the Maki N' Cheese as promoted on the show and were not disappointed. That night there was sun-dried tomato and jalapeno in the middle of macaroni and cheese balls wrapped in tempura and deep fried, with some dijon mustard and ketchup smeared on the plate for dipping. Very good!
I then proceeded to my Brisket panini, braised in Cola & rum with melty cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onions. Another very good plate, and not afraid to admit I licked my fingers afterwards (sidenote: this is a bit of a messy choice, but oh so good!). I ordered a side of sweet potato fries which are done right battered with flour - crunchy, sweet and salty - perfect. OH and then, sweet heaven, the chocolate fudge square with a pretzel crust... I will not say anything other than YOU HAVE TO EAT THIS before you die (it actually might make you feel like you've died and are floating in heaven, but). Mmmmm. But they don't always have the same desserts every day, so good luck getting this little baby.
The only reason this is not an A+ is the a la carte factor... sweet potato fries were an extra $6 and they frown upon splitting bills which in this era is just silly. Foodwise - phenomenal, atmosphere - lovely, service - very friendly.
Food is fantastic!! Went for brunch with my girlfriends & two of us have babies (6 & 10 months) everyone (not just our waitress) was very accommodating :o). We enjoyed the brunch pie of the day which was a gluten free spinach & feta delight... With a bacon crust!!! Need I say more. I will definitely be going again... A new fave on Roncey!!
Deliciously Unique. I've been walking past this restaurant for weeks and haven't had a chance to go. Yesterday I finally did and I had no idea what I was missing. The decor was cosy and fun, the waitress was very friendly and helpful with great recommendations, and the food was outstanding. Everything we ordered was superb - mango cold rolls, potato latkes, cola beef brisket, curried apple salad, and squish squash quesadilla. The quesadilla stood out as the best, it was a very unique blend of flavours but it was so great, and I appreciate that it was baked and not fried. The mango cold rolls tasted great but were tricky to eat as they were prone to falling apart.
I will definitely be heading back to Cardinal Rule time and again. Very excited to have a new restaurant in my area.
Good, but basic. The burger was good, but not very large for the price. Would have been lost in the Kaiser. But I liked the place, the waitress, the cosiness of it. Did not feel silly being alone. Will definitely return and try other things on the menu!

KT had the eggs bennie, Lindsay had the classic breakfast, I had the breakfast pie (bacon crust!) and Monnie had the Hawaiian Stuffed French Toast. The food was amazing. The latkes, as promised, delish. Speaking for my own plate I couldn’t get enough of the breakfast pie. An awesome take on quiche with a bacon crust ftw!
