Good, cheap eats. I can get 2-3 buns (depending on how hungry I am) for ~$1 each (that's a ~$3 meal, in case you failed math) and still be full. They're also great to snack on if you're in between meals or not too hungry. But beware, they don't take credit card, which is super annoying.
Amazing!!!. The BEST Chinese buns and desserts I have ever tasted! Their pork buns are glazed, fresh, and delicious! Their fruit tarts are phenomenal!! Definitely try these guys out!
Treats and more. Pork buns, pineapple buns, coconut twists and egg tarts are all excellent. They also do cakes, jelly rolls and more for the person with a sweet tooth. Clean shop and great smelling too.

A Classic Chinatown Stop!. Furama has been opened for years. Everyone who grew up in this area knew that they started the Bun trend on Spadina. Sure, new shops are cheaper and offer better deals but no one can compare to them!
Coconut twists are a must try... If they have any left!

If you have never been to a Chinese Bakery and you live in proximity to down town Toronto I would suggest going to Furama as your first experience. There is a huge selection of savoury and sweet buns and pastries from traditional Chinese to western influenced desserts like the much loved Hong Kong style egg tart. My companion ordered a selection of savoury buns. the one pictured contains a filling of crispy fried chicken breast and mayonnaise. I am usually hesitant to order items like this (bad experiences with dodgy meat) but the chicken in this bun was very fresh tasting and reminded me of something homemade. His total for the 3 buns after tax was around $3. If you're in a hurry and/or don't have much cash this is a great place to grab lunch or breakfast. A glazed strawberry sat at the center of this perfect chestnut cream tart. for $2.80 you can't go wrong with this attractive and tasty dessert. The presentation is very sweet. I love this little printed parchment paper that the tar
Furama 富麗華餅店 is one of the established traditional Hong Kong bakeries that maintains a very casual atmosphere. It offers a great variety of popular buns and my favourites are the sausage buns, pineapple buns and deep fried curry beef buns. I also like to order a cup of hot Hong Kong milk tea to accompany my pastries. I would say that Furama’s quality is above average in Chinatown’s standard.
They have amazing fried chicken sandwiches. I don’t know what it is about the sandwiches… the chicken is deep fried perfectly. NOM.
Delicious cakes - Chinese buns to die for. Fruit tarts are exceptional. Service always with a smile and a story or two. A great way place to have sweet buns, pastries and cake at a reasonable price. Large cakes, birthday, special occasions and yummy desserts. Hard to resist.
