My friend and I came here on a whim - we were pleasantly surprised. I had samosas and the pear salad and my friend had calamari and pizza - all of it was delicious! Pricing was decent, ambience lovely and service friendly. We will definitely be back :)
Had pretty good food and great drinks tonight at Victory Cafe and will definitely go back. The patio is quiet, green, and sheltered: basically perfection. Service was not bad and apparently there's trivia on Monday nights! Can't wait to go back.
Good neighbourhood gem. I always forget about this place and then have the pleasure of rediscovering it. Good beer list and pub food.
This is one of my fave spots in the area for meeting friends and catching up. The food is very good and the beer selection is top notch. Solid food bets are the chicken curry, mac and cheese and veg burger. Brunch is decent, but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere inside is cozy - it's got a similar vibe as the Grad club in Kingston - and when the weather is right the large patio is delightful. I haven't had much of a problem with the service, but the toilets in the women's washroom are constantly broken and stinky, even post reno.
Great beers! Great atmosphere! Slow, tired servers.. I go here once in a while because it's such a cool place with the best draft selection in the Annex. I don't know why the service is always so slow. The servers don't seem to be having much fun there either, which can impact the overall experience. The food is edible, but not incredible. If it's summer and you want to sit on the patio, bring a snack and a book or something because you'll be camping there for the day waiting for your second pint or your cheque. People will argue that the slowness is part of its charm, but I think friendly, attentive service is more charming.
Slow but good. Service is slow, but it's then good if you want to be in a place that allows you to hang out with friends for the whole evening. Food is nice and big portions.
Slow Food - Worth the Wait. The Victory is definitely not the place to go if you are in a rush...which is why I love it! The food, staff and line-up of drafts are amazing. I've moved out of the neighbourhood but still find myself drawn back. Awesome!
Great little place. Visited the Victory for dinner recently and loved it - a feeling that must be shared as we had to wait for a table - may be worth booking! I had a steak special and it was great - decent prices too along with a good beer selection
Victorious. Really swell clean feeling delicious pub grub. Always hits the spot. Great neighbourhood.
Always thrilled with the food here, especially the fresh soups.
It's my go-to pub.. Great food, outstanding variety of micro-brews and the servers are always friendly. This is quite honestly my favourite pub in Toronto. It's tough to find a seat during dinner time or weekends, but it's always worth the wait.
Lovely place to sit and chill on a patio during the summer. Victory Cafe has a nice selection of beers and ciders, which I believe are all local! The food is your basic pub fare so don't expect anything gourmet or out-of-this-world. Victory Cafe also serves brunch every weekend, all year. Best time to go is during the summer months to enjoy that patio!
A great bar with a great selection of local beers and a dedicated staff. The food is, well pub-grub, though the menu makes it sound moreextravagant than it really is.When it comes to ambiance, however, you can't beat the Vic. All sortsof people from the Annex come here and there's an eclectic mix thatyou won't easily find elsewhere in Toronto. They've got a great patioin the summer and bands upstairs.
One of the best patios in Toronto. Always a line up. Always have a great list of fantastic beers. Add their classic pub food menu and you have a recipe for a great night of chillin' in the Annex.
Nice bar with a great patio in the summer. Decent food menu, well-priced draft beers and ciders.
