I was here with my mom. We ordered a chicken curry roti and a vegetable roti. The chicken roti tastes good but it was filled with large chunks of white meat. I expected torn dark chicken meat as white meat tends to make the roti taste dry unless it had been brined. I loved the vegetable roti, the sqash, spinach and chick peas had individual flavours. The filling was generous for both rotis.
Wow. This is good food. Been to so many roti places. But none of them measure up to bacchus. Portions are huge (I can eat half of it for dinner and still have half left for lunch).
Cheese on a roti did sound odd at first... But now I can't do without it.
I've been here a lot. Service is always good. Place is always clean.
(I'm not sure what the other reviewer talked about re the no cutlery thing - I couldn't eat it without cutlery - which is always provided)
By far the best I've found in Parkdale, Mississauga, or Brampton.
Best rotis in the city. Love the jerk chicken and goat. I'm a huge carnivore but also love the squash rotis.
Really good veggie roti's, although we have not been very often since they took the tomatoes and mushrooms off the menu.
Best in the city!!. Amazing!! Chicken, squash and cheese... OMG!!!!! Very very good stuff here. Would def recommend...
Cheese on a roti!? Who would have thought it could be so delicious
We travel half way across the world to eat here. We have been visiting Toronto from abroad every couple of years for the past 12 years and every time we visit, no matter for how little time we spend in Toronto, we always go to Bacchus Roti.
On our most recent visit we were pleasantly surprised to find it had undergone a bit of a makeover (nice new seating and lights) but were glad to see that the food and the wonderful service had not changed a bit. The rotis were as delicious as I remembered and you can now have a beer with your roti which is perfect.
This place is fantastic I really hope that it will be there forever and I can't wait to visit again next time we are in Toronto. This is not fine dining but good, wholesome comfort food prepared with love. If they ever want to open a branch in Australia - just let me know!! If I lived in Toronto I would go here every week.
I ordered the jerk chicken roti which also contained spinach and squash. At $12.50, it was deliciously filling with a fiery kick to it.
