Friends of ours introduced us to tapas style dining at Relish. Not only was the food great tasting it was beautifully presented. The drinks were pricey but worth it to try something different. The band on that night reminded me of Blue Rodeo. It's a tight fit inside but comfortable for dining. The eclectic decor was cool. I had chicken skewers and a very generous tomato salad. Yum.
Great Spot - Overpriced. Just discovered this little gem.
Went on a Friday night. There was live music and a great atmosphere!
Food and drink was awesome. I have Celiac Disease and hey had a plentiful menu of offerings.
My only complaints would be:
1. The PRICE. I did not "choose" to have this autoimmune disorder. Why should I have to pay so much for a decent meal. Got 3 tapas items and beer - my bill was 65$ and when I left, I debated stopping at McDonalds :( Portions were TINY.
2. I did not like the fact that the performers interrupted by dinner to ask for " a donation". When I told him I would get him on the way out after I had payed for my meal - He rolled his eyes at me. Thus, he got NO MONEY from me in the end for his rudeness :P
I really like this restaurants atmosphere and vibe, the food is amazingly flavourful and I would return.....only for a snack though!
We have only ever been for Sunday brunch and we think this place is awesome. You can taste the love in the food. And I swear the have hands down the best pancakes I have ever had. Yes, it is not cheap, but it is not out of line with other brunch prices. Best Sunday brunch in the area.
Not the greatest variety but good quality food. Slightly over priced but excellent service. Will visit again but only for drinks
Tasty but expensive (small portions). The food was pretty good but tapas always adds up - especially at Relish.
We asked the waitress how many dishes we should get and she said 4. After ordering and eating 5 things, we were still hungry so we got 2 more things.
We had:
- 2 specials of the day which was a phyllo stuffed with turkey and brie
- sirloin
Duck and white bean cassolet
- grilled calamari
- Lobster pot stickers
- risotto
Descriptions on the menu were either misleading or didn't really get executed too well.
e.g. Basil aioli - no basil
But overall, it was still tasty so we'll give it another shot in the next few months.
Pulled Pork. I have been there a few times for lunch and have really enjoyed my meal. I had a pulled pork and it was great. I had a salad on the side which was fresh and went well with the pulled pork. The service was very good and friendly (a guy with a toque and beard). I will be back!
What a pleasant surprise! The food is so good here that there should be line ups out the door constantly !! I have had almost everything on this menu and I have not been disappointed once! Tapas is my favorite , so to have stumbled across this random restaurant on danforth near woodbine (who knew?) that serves up some of the most delicious, fresh, inspired palat pleasing dishes this mouth has ever experienced was a HUGE pleasant surprise. The staff has always been kind and helpful and the space itself is really intimate. Try the mushroom risotto as well as the banana caramel pie made in house SO GOOD, you'll be craving it for weeks !
Good service, my only issue is that for a tappas restaurant, the menu has never changed in 5 years. You can only eat the lobster potstickers so much. I live in the hood and have been there atleast 40 times, but hAve stopped and will not go back till Joanne changes the menu
Very Kid friendly, good variety of tapas, casual dining and very friendly staff!
