It was lunchtime on Sunday, and we were on The Danforth looking for a place to eat. We were thinking about a pub or something similar, and Factory Girl fit the bill. Right on the front cover of the menu you can read that the restaurant is named after a Rolling Stones song. There were posters of various rock bands around the room.
One of the first things I noticed was their brunch special Bloody Caesar for $5.00, so that was any easy choice for me. It was a decent enough drink.
We looked at the brunch menu, but it seemed a bit pricier than other brunch places of similar scale. Eggs Bennie with a side would have been over $16. Instead SWMBO chose the Caesar Salad and added Cajun Chicken; a fairly decent portion of chicken and a pleasant salad.
I ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Tender pork, tangy/smokey BBQ sauce, and pretty good fries.
Overall a good lunch.
The meatballs were amazing. I highly recommend them! Also my pizza was fantastic, the Salvatore for the win! Will definitely be back! Loved sitting out on their great back patio. This place would be great to come to with my co-workers.

A great gastropub spot on the Danforth. Not for the calorie conscious though! But delicious and worth it. We came here for a later night bite and were served quickly and attentively. I ordered the Factory pizza and it was the perfect mix of meat and cheese. I will definitely be back to try out more items on the menu!
Pre-concert dinner on a Saturday night before heading over to the Danforth music hall.
Menu looked pretty decent (a bit on the expensive side in my opinion) but I didn't want to order too much food since I wouldn't be able to take my leftovers home. I ended up just getting an appetizer size Mac and cheese which was actually enough for me since I had a late lunch.
My food was very tasty, the sauce was on the runny side but I liked the addition of the tomatoes and mushrooms. Bf tried the caesar salad and pulled pork poutine and enjoyed both.
Pretty good cocktail list, I tried a Roxanne (rum, pineapple juice, Ginger ale and bitters), and enjoyed it. Bf had a mint julep and Manhattan.
Good service. Would go back again to try the pizza if I wasn't going to a concert after and could take my leftovers home. The Giuseppi sounded good.
I dropped in to the Factory Grill on Friday night. It was busy inside but I was seated pretty quickly. I ordered the hot wings w/ fries and a pint of beer for $25. The food was good and the service was friendly! I'll have to go back and try some other menu items.
I have officially decided that food is my life. Everything I do ends up revolving around food, even if it wasn't the initial theme. So here we are, going to a concert at the Danforth Music Hall and all I can think of is where to eat before hand.
Allen's would normally be my first choice for the neighborhood, but I wasn't overly hungry and more peckish.
Just east of the music hall on the same side is this gem of a restaurant. With a cocktail to start and pulled pork tacos from the appetizer menu, this hit the spot.
The service was great, very friendly and the tacos were generous in size (for appetizers) and tasty.
I ordered the homemade doughnut with honey for dessert and almost fell out of my chair with joy. It was so delicious.
Gord and I had supper at the Factory Girl. We sat on the patio which was so nice. Gord and I both ordered wings. I got mine medium with fries and Gord got his cajun with onion rings. We both enjoyed our meals and would get them again. Emilie was our server. She was friendly and took good care of us.
Loved it!. My boyfriend and me went to the Factory Girl Restaurant so we could try the wine-pairing menu. Another couple we know recommended it, so we thought we would splash out on a dinner together... and we are so glad we did! We had to make a reservation, but it was worth the wait as the 5-course meal was delicious! My boyfriend is more of a wine expert than I am.. to be honest, I don’t know much about it, but I completely loved the wine that was paired with each part of the meal! It felt like the wine was carefully selected to compliment each flavour and it was a great experience!
After our meal, I told a few friends about Factory Girls, who have also since been there and loved it too! I would definitely go back to this restaurant again and try the other food and drinks also as I had such a fantastic experience the first time!
Best Restaurant on The Danforth. Factory Girl has great food, service and atmosphere. On a visit in the summer our server suggested the Factory Chicken with linguine. I have had it every visit since. It's the best chicken I have ever had. I suggested to the manager that they spice up the description on the menu as I would never have thought to order it without a suggestion. The place has a great feel inside that blends perfectly with the classic rock they play. Factory Girl, I want your playlist!! I have never written a review in my life before this, that's how much I love this place,

The new Mac and cheese is amazing. And the pizza is divine.
This place is a hidden gem on the Danforth. When u walk in it has the exposed brick resto/bar look, then u walk toward the back room thats filled with natural lighting showing the cool retro posters of musicians. The natural lighting comes from the cozy patio. As for the food, I ordered the special which was salmon and I was shocked how good it was. My Friend had chicken and loved it as well. We were both impressed with the atmosphere and food. As for service, we did have to flag down the waitress a couple times but we didn't mind cuz we didn't feel rushed and got to sit and take our time. I'm going there again soon to meet an old friend as it's a perfect place to chill out and have great food and drinks.
Finally a new restaurant that doesn't serve "chicken on a stick" on the Danforth - . This is a great spot - good food, excellent wait staff and an owner who knows the business. Food is excellent, but not cheap - however you get what you pay for. Try the Pizza, pasta and the veal sandwich - outstanding!
Rough Start, Oscar finish. After eye contact with three staff while I stood at the door waiting for a hello (place was not busy), I still got none. After 10 minutes I was finally greeted by a staff member. After that, it all went uphill. The service is great. The back patio is to die for, the heaters kept us cozy after the sun went down. I had pizza; it was yummy with a generous portion to take home in a doggy bag. The only negative was the $9 charge for a glass of wine. Will definitely go back.
Love it !!. It's a great place to hang out and chat...fantastic food. The ceasar salad is one of the best I have ever had and their pizzas are awesome. Great, friendly staff too!! I will be going there as often as I can....see u there!
Awesome Bar. Great place to watch the game with your friends. Hard to find good wings these days -- great food - great staff and even better music.
What a gem! The foods great, the waitresses are all pretty, especially the Indian Princess! Cool patio out back, always open late. Who knew? Will be back with my buds. Good place to watch the game.
Tasty pub option. Went for dinner on a Friday night. It wasn't super busy. I had the curry linguini, hubby had a pizza. Nothing earth shattering but both were quite tasty. The Auld Spot it ain't, but I don't think it needs to be. Friendly, efficient service, and nice to see a tap list with different options than the other pubs on the Danforth. Hope it sticks around, we'll likely go back.

Welcome Additon to the Danforth. There is a wonderful new Bistro that is a very welcomed addition to the Danforth. Some friends and I visited Factory Girl for the first time last week, and all I can say is we have been waiting for a place like this.
Great Decor, a extensive pasta and pizza menu, combined with a a nice selection of beers on tap and a well thought out wine list.
Pizzas are awesome, and the atmosphere relaxing and inviting!
I have found my new local!. I had been meaning to try out factory girl since it opened and finally made it in last night. I thought it was primarily a restaurant but was pleased to see it had the best attributes of both a bar and a lunch/dinner spot. It is a place you can go on a first date or just stop in for a casual pint. The service was wonderful. I had the meatball appetizer and you can tell they are homemade, I almost wanted a second order to take with me for lunch today! As soon as I walked in I had a great feeling about this place and I was right! I will be back often!
Great first impression. We had the NY steaks (done to perfection) with garlic mashed potatoes, sauteed vegetables and beautifully sculpted edible baked tomato garnish. We also had a goat cheese pizza on their homemade crust that was simply delicious. We found the portion size to be very generous in relation to the price, and the service was outstanding. We strongly recommend checking out Factory Girl if you are interested in a fantastic meal, or just a good beer in a friendly and casual/classy environment.
Pleasant Surprise. Just had dinner with friends at the Factory Girl, which has replaced the former Willow. Don't let the bar atmosphere fool ya -- the food was great! We had New York Steaks which were amazingly tender, chicken Portino and one of their signature pizzas. All fantastic. The pizza dough is home made and it shows. Portion sizes are extremely generous! Go there hungry!
Service was excellent - friendly,informed and attentive without being creepy. I like! We be back!
