My friends and I went for dinner at Bombay on the Lake. Food was delicious, the portions huge, and the server made it feel like home. Will definitely be coming back for more.
decent place for dine in or take out. the food is pretty good and the prices are quite reasonable.
I've tried few of their chicken dishes, and few of their veggie dishes. good experience most of the times.
they also serve some Indian beer, which is quite difficult to find at LCBO.
Great Indian food!. We have been ordering take out from Bombay on the Lake for a few years now. The food is delicious and the quality is always consistent. The owners are very friendly. We love Bombay on the Lake!!
Best Indian Food In The West End. This restaurant is incredibly cozy and welcoming. The owners and staff treat customers like family and go above and beyond to make sure you are well taken care of. The food is flavourful and authentic at a very reasonable price. All their dishes are fresh and are perfect for sharing. Our family of five has searched tirelessly for the best Indian restaurant in the West End and have finally found it! Highly recommend this restaurant.
Friendly & delicious!. A warm and friendly welcome, attentive service, Mulligatawny Soup to-die-for, and a superb Lamb Korma make this small neighbourhood restaurant worth the trek to New Toronto!
Great authentic indian food! Reminded me of the flavors from India. The staff is a great big family. I personally love their Paneer dishes and garlic naan. I highly recommend this place. Nice place to catch up with friends with great food. What more could I ask? Nothing.
Great Indian on Lakeshore!. They have all the usual Indian dishes but you don't feel like you're eating 'unhealthy'. I think they use a lot less ghee in their dishes than other restaurants but they're still very tasty!!
Wow, I was impressed. The lamb curry and vegetable korma were amazing as well the garlic naan was out of this world.
The friendly service was slow but it was worth the wait!
Fantastic Indian food in Etobicoke Lakeshore. New to the neighbourhood and was craving Indian food. Ordered the veg pakoras, Dal Makhani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Goan shrimp curry...simply put arguably the best Indian food I have had ( and I love Indian food!!!). Portions were good size, hot and very flavourful. Reasonably priced. Try this place. You should not be disappointed
We had previously tried a "lunch special" and wanted to have a dinner. We were visiting from the Ottawa area. Totally enjoyed our dinner on July 5th 2013. The appetizers were perfect, the Mulligatawny as well. Portions were excellent as well as the service. We'll certainly visit again. You should give Bombay on the Lake a try. You won't be disappointed.
Delicious! Lamb saag with naan is my favourite dish.
Try the lamb madrasi. You can tell the difference when an Indian restaurant takes good care in the selection of ingredients for and preparation of it's smallest item, the samosa. I knew that I was in for a great dining experience from the moment I first enjoyed that little appetizer at Bombay on the Lake. In subsequent visits I have tried it all - from the gentle, delicious Korma to the hot Vindaloo - and have never been disappointed. For fans of Indian food, a trip to this little gem in Lakeshore Village is a must.
Great food. I love this Indian restaurant and I have eaten in many. The food is fresh, with distinct sauces, unlike some other Indian restaurants I've tried. The other thing to love about this place is you never leave with that awful bloated feeling you get elsewhere. We talked to the waiter/owner and he said it was because they use very little ghee compared to other places.
My favourite is the Chicken Tikka Masala. Other dishes we've tried, all excellent too. The naan is fantastic.
Excellent food and consistently good service. Most food is very spicy so beware! Absolutely love the lamb vindaloo.
Best indian around!. Delicious indian food, very nice owners! Butter chicken, aloo gobi, saag paneer, fresh naan and rice. mmmm
Best restaurant ever for delicious Indian food. The place is very beautiful and the owners are very entertaining and lovely people. Food from Bombay on the Lake reminds me of my heritage and back home India. The food is very delicious and mouth-watering. All the dishes are enjoyable from vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. Daal makhni and butter chicken were my favorite and the lassi is very delicious. But apart from that Paneer Kadai is my favourite. If you are looking for delicious food, Bombay on the Lake it is.
Delicious!. When we moved to the Lake Shore, we worried about finding a great Indian restaurant. Last night we had one of the best Indian meals that we've had in all our travels. Our dinner at Bombay on the Lake was right up there with a dinner we had in England at one of the 10 best restaurants in the country.
Aloo paratha, veggie pakoras, Chicken Tikka Masala and more. The flavours, the presentation, the service (its the friendliest restaurant on the Lake Shore) - all excellent. We've recommended Bombay on the Lake to many friends, and they all love it. Thanks!!
Super sweet service and personality, delicious vibrant Lamb Vindalu. Generous portions, and incredibly affordable!
Best Food Ever. When you go to a restaurant, You want to feel as if you are comfortable The way you are at home. With their service, they will never let you feel otherwise, I would know, I have been there plenty of times. I absolutely love spicy food, so try the vindaloo there, if not the butter chicken is always a great choice. I an extra naan just because its so soft. All in all. Love it.
They have a facebook page by the way! Like it!
Great personalized food!. My girlfriend lives near this restaurant and we go here almost weekly. The food is great and reasonably priced, and the service is the best. She always orders the same thing so the chef knows it's her and comes out to say hello. It's a small restaurant with a quiet, intimate setting - great local romantic spot for couples
Best Indian Restaurant in Toronto. Well I was recommended by one of my friend about Bombay On The Lake, so I thought of celebrating my B'day with my friends last month, I was amazed by the food and the service was exceptional, We tried Butter Chicken, Chicken Madrasi, Mutter Paneer, Saag Paneer , and Naan, they have a variety of Naan but my fav. is Garlic and Rosemary Naan, and Veg. Biryani I also tried Indian Beer Kingfisher which was really good, Food was very fresh and all the dishes had a excellent taste and different flavour. Owners are so friendly and when our food came without asking they gave us Raita (Yoghurt thing) as a complementary and told that this will go perfect with the Biryani, the best part was when we had our dinner , we were served complimentary "Gulab Jamun" Dessert as they heard talking us about my B'Day, I was amazed and I have had never experience such a courtesy and nice service anywhere in Toronto, It was one of my best dining experience and all my friends appreciated that had a wonderful time and of course great food. I would surely recommend this place to everybody. I am thinking to go again and again at this hidden place which I am sure very few must be knowing.
Very good food and amazing service. Much better experience than most higher priced restaurants. Try it for sure.
Great food. Chicken Somosas where great and the Mango Lassi was huge and very tasty. Used to drive all the way to Hurontario and Egglington for Indian. Great option just down the road now.
Cheap food. Lots of food on a thali and cheap while being tasty and full of flavors and spices. Can't ask for more.
The service was good and prompt and the ambiance was that of a typical Indian food joint.
Value for money and everything on their menu is worth a shot. have been here a lot as it used to be on my travel route to college.
Try the daal makhani, murg methi, chicken krahi and naans.
Well, its located at 10th street at Lakeshore Boulevard West, a small but a neatly maintained restaurant known for its good Indian food. However, it is not as impressive as the other restaurants around. The biggest demerit- the food is low on quantity when compared to the price paid for the it. The breads made over there are really nice though. Lack of staff might be a problem on a day when its crowded, its a decent place to dine at overall.
Bombay on the Lake is located on Lakeshore and is one of the few Indian restaurants in the area. It's moderately priced, the decor is very "Indian" with probably a deliberate attempt at looking 'exotic'. The Murg Methi Malai was very tasty, the naans were well baked. They are low priced and their lunch special is a steal. with a Meat or Chicken or a Vegetable curry you get Rice or Naan, Raita, Salad, Papad, Pickle & Pop. And it's only $9!
