My husband and I went to Just Greek last weekend and had a wonderful dinner. Its not your typical Greek restaurant, meaning, its much better. We loved the stuffed peppers and the flaming cheese (can't remember the name of it just now). The service was fantastic and the owner dropped by our table to ensure we were having a great evening. Its close to the subway, so we didn't need to drive, although there is lots of parking out back in the municipal parking lot. No need to go to the Danforth anymore for great Greek food! Now its just a quick ride on the subway in the west end!
Very busy spot, the service is quite quick, and the atmosphere is very nice feels like you are part of the family. Great experience and great food. My wife and our kids all enjoyed our meals and look forward to going back!

On Saturday we felt like something Greek for dinner, and found Just Greek in Bloor West Village. I'm not sure how long it has been open, but the decor looked new and fresh. There did not appear to be too much Greek influence in the interior design, but it was nice and cozy nonetheless.
Menu choices for us were easy. She: Chicken Souvlaki. Me: Moussaka. SWMBO's chicken was tender, properly seasoned and tasty. The tzatziki tasted house made and was a cool counterpoint to the warm chicken. She is not a big fan of boiled and roasted potatoes that accompanied the dish, but the rest of the dish more than made up for that.
My Moussaka was one of the best that I have ever had. The beef was nicely seasoned. The bechamel was especially good. It had a little bit of a broiled crust, but underneath was fresh and creamy. Also, they added something to the bechamel, nutmeg perhaps, that gave it real flavour. Some others that I have had elsewhere have been pleasant, but without as much flavour. One very minor issue with the eggplant, which was slightly undercooked; some bites didn't cut easily with a fork.
Service was pleasant and attentive. Overall a very nice meal.
They simply should raise their prices. It is that good folks. Love it
Chicken Souvlaki. My daughter and I stumbled upon this place last week and were not sur from the outside while we were deciding Thai or greek. We are really glad we went in. A undercover gem. The service was helpful and the food was amazing. We had a shrimp appetizer. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and we had to sop up the tomatoe sauce with our bread. Not over killed by garlic, it had just enough. Great flavour. The Greek salad was fresh and the dressing fantastic, home made. Then the chicken souvlaki. I don't normally eat chicken out as it's never cooked to my liking but after the waitress expressed the same issues and assured me I wouldn't be disappointed I ordered. It was perfect. Delicious, juicy and I actually order another meal to go for my son. I recommend you give it a try. We were there for a late lunch but took home some food as the portions were large. Don't pass up a good thing on Bloor. I'm happy to say they deliver to my area, Princess Margaret and Kipling area. Ordering delivery tonight. The price is reasonable and the food fresh. Hard to get txt delivered these days. I'll update on how we feel about delivery soonest.
Great food... Slow service. We went in on Saturday after the usual lunch rush and there were about 10 tables seated. There was ONE person serving tables and he was also the bartender. The food is great and really reasonably priced so as long as you go in expecting a long experience you will love it. If you're in a rush, look elsewhere.
You're all nuts.... I really don't know what you're all talking about... Just Greek is amazing! Before giving this place a try, I came here to read a couple reviews (as I always do before going to any restaurant). Many of the reviews I stumbled upon were simply negative, but my boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try one afternoon. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki and it was incredible. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the rice was delicious and the potatoes were phenomenal. Felt like real, authentic, home cooked Greek food. I'm so glad I didn't listen to these silly, not to mention FALSE, reviews! You're all way too picky! For those reading my comment, it's important for you to make your own judgments! This place was rated 88% for a reason... CHECK IT OUT.
My husband eats a lot and is picky about his food, he loved the souvlaki dinner he had! The service is awesome especially Mary she remembered us after seeing us only once. The food is massive portions but cannot say no to dessert! The Baklava is really good! Two thumbs up!
Love this place, one of my fav Greek restaurants in the area. The calamari dinner is my go to every time.
Love it!. This is far and away the restaurant I frequent most, whether its to take friends and family from out of town in for a big dinner, or a quick lunch at the bar while I chat with Bob. My 11 year old daughter loves the saganaki and calamari, and I love the pork souvlaki, but am usually game to try the specials. I was pleasantly surprised by the biftecki (sp) which is occasionally available.
As others have mentioned, the atmosphere is great, really nice since Bob took over and renovated a few years ago, and all the servers are friendly and attentive to their customers. I even like that they serve a local Etobicoke brew on tap - Kool beer.
Note that it will fill up after 6 on the weekends especially, but come earlier and you'll have no trouble walking in for a great meal.
My fiancé and I had a craving for Greek. Having been here once before about 4 years back, we decided to give it a go. What a great idea!! The food was delicious... The Greek salad we had was the best I have tasted anywhere else! We had the feta garlic pita as an appetizer: it was marvelous! My fiancé had the chicken souvlaki, which he said was amazing, while I had the spanakopita dinner. Yum! Our bill came up to just over $35... What a deal! We didn't have room for dessert, but we'll be coming back to sample their mango cherry cheesecake! The waiter was very attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and fun, considering the Greek music in the background was lively (but not too loud or irritating). They have large booths for bigger families, and tables outside in the summer. The family that came in while we were finishing up had two younger children and I was pleasantly surprised that the waiter put in a special order for the children and brought a high chair before the parents even had to ask. Looks like we found our new go-to place for Greek!
I love Just Greek. I eat in or take out at least once a week. The chicken Greek salad is huge, cheap, and amazing and I love the lamb sausage
Remodelled and excellent. My girlfriend and I love this place, the servers are friendly, the food is excellent and the price is right. Their saganaki (fried cheese flambé) is excellent and the portion is right, they make a great suvlaki and the portions are large.
Definitely recommended.
