Nice little hidden gem on Javis and Adelaide.
Nice Sushi Experience. I ended up in Sakura Ichiban after a long flight in from Edmonton - it was extremely close to my hotel (Holiday Inn Express).
The outside was a bit rough looking (one of the windows is all smashed) but once you step inside there is a wonderful Atmophere! its is very nicely decorated and instantly put me in a good mood.
Staff was very welcoming - great service!
Overall though, the food was good. Nothing fantastic, nothing terrible. Service was prompt, food was the proper temperature. Nothing went wrong - nothing was especially tasty though that would have m e craving more. Shrimp Tempura was quite delicious!
Lunch combo Sushi A is the best. The sushi is super fresh. The staff is friendly and prompt in this family restaurant. Have never had anything here that was less than tasty. One day I brought 3 kids 8-12 yes old for their first Japanese meal. The server gave us a private room, entertained their questions, made them feel comfortable even with the raw pieces and created lifelong Japanese food lovers. They also do good takeout. Can't wait to eat there again.
