Another good location in the California Sandwiches chain. But boy things have gotten expensive over the years. Two veal sandwiches, each with a few toppings, and a couple of drinks is over $30.
It seems there are some new toppings and now even a new sandwich, pork schnitzel. Might be worth a try if I can ever bring myself to NOT order a veal! :)
Typical. Always busy at lunch. The food hasn't changed in years. Price is a little high for what it is though. I'll probably go back at some point.
Amazing Italian Sandwiches. Had the meatball sandwich, garden salad, and tiramisu. The sandwich was amazing, nice juicy meatballs in marinara sauce with jalapeño peppers and onions on a warm toasted bun. Salad was good with an excellent dressing. Some sort of balsamic dressing. Tiramisu was great too, but very rich. Would recommend sharing. Even maybe Sharing the sandwich. It's huge!
This California Sandwiches location has no hot table but I find the sandwiches here are slightly better then some of the other locations. I always have to get my california sandwich weekly fix, a hot veal with cheese, onions and mushrooms
A great franchise with delicious sandwiches and their hot plate items are very tasty as well. It is definitely one of the best veal sandwiches in the city.
Best Italian steak & veal sandwiches! On the pricey side for fast food but it'll definitely fill you up. Gets very busy but line moves along.
Yummy! I've driven past this place for years and only stopped in because of recommendation. It offers a clean and welcoming environment good for ordering and take out. Great value and satisfying for those of us with *ahem*...healthy appetites. It's on my list of local go to spots now. :)
Delicious! I have been eating here for over 10 years. Anything you order will be fantastic. My favourite is the chicken sandwich. It is always fresh and consistent. The chicken breast is always crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. All the sandwiches are large, so come hungry. It will fill you every time. Toppings are great. They are always busy but the service is great. Family owned. There is seating but if you go at lunch time it might be hard to find a seat. Highly recommend!
Customer for over 35 years and still as good as day1 at Claremont. Any location consistently the best Italian sandwiches ever made
I come here often, and food is consistantly good. However, when taking-out, ALWAYS make sure to check that everything you've payed for is actually in the bag. More often than not, there is at least one such item missing from mine.
CASH ONLY. First time eating at California Sandwiches...about time, I know! Just had the chicken sandwich which was really good but wayyyy to much. Plenty of space to have lunch there. The cashiers could look a little more alive and not be chatting it up the whole time. A plus would be debit/credit card machine!
Great Food!. It was my first time eating here. I love the hot chicken sandwich. It tastes great! The employees could smile more, and a debit/credit machine would be nice.
Good Veal Sandwich. While the veal sandwich is good don't expect the friendliest of customer service. The place lacks a 'mom and pop' shop feel and the warmth of good customer service and appreciation of your business isn't there.
If you're simply looking for a tasty veal sandwich their's are definitely good. But, the feel has definitely been institutionalized...feels less welcoming than a Medical Walk-in Clinic. They should count their lucky stars that their sandwiches actually taste good.

The sandwhichs are AMAZING the spicy is insanely spicy (and I eat a lot of spicy food) I love this place the portions are huge and take more than 1 sitting to finish 999999999999999/1 stars
Best Sandwiches. The best sandwiches made fresh to order in Toronto. I wish I could find a place like this in Vancouver. HUGE portions - don't forget to the grilled peppers.
