I had the Ossington Massive breakfast plate in the wee hours of the morning after clubbing. The eggs, sausage and bacon were perfectly cooked. I had one of your famous chocolate milkshakes as well (which is really 2 milkshakes as they give you the extra in a metal glass on the side). This was my first time at The Lakeview but it definitely won't be my last!
My bf and I came in and I had the smoked salmon Benny he had a Benny with peameal and it was perfect home made hollandaise sauce beautiful roasted home fries and salad on the side. Our server was super attentive and I had an ample amount of coffee top ups and everyone was great...
You all should work in a diner one day to understand the demands behind diner service before complaining about it. Food and service excellent and we will definitely visit again ... thanks Lakeview we will see you again.
Scrumptious food at reasonable prices: I had the pulled pork sandwich with Havarti cheese, fries, and a drink for under $20.
Stellar service: they danced attendance on me, and cheerfully let me sit there a couple of hours after I finished eating. They just kept bringing me refills on my Diet Coke.
Awesome atmosphere. A Toronto institution--established 1932.
Comfort personified. I'll be back.
Many years ago I lived across the street from The Lakeview. Whenever I’m in Toronto I try and have lunch there. I’ve never had service issues except when they were completely packed. Wait staff is always pleasant.
I love the menu - there’s something there to choose for any time of day or night.
The Lakeview Restaurant is my ideal diner: physically comfortable, aesthetically appealing, 24 hours and food + drink options under $5. I don't live in Toronto anymore but it remains my go-to when I'm in the city.
