Was there for a couple a drinks and snacks yesterday and it was just amazing. Right from the decor to the food and service just perfect. We ordered the basic Avacado and chips with our margaritas and it just stood out. They take alot of effort in presenting their meals and drinks and tastes amazing. Pure value for money and highly recommended this place as you won't be disappointed.
As I’ve frequently stated, the restaurant industry parallels the music industry. Both are filled with experiences that will forever be etched in our brains. In other cases, certain foods and/or restaurants can be one-hit wonders in the same fashion as “flash in the pan” singers. By defintion, the saying flash in the pan has nothing to do with food but it sounds pretty good.
Did not have the food, but great drinks both times I went. Great beer selection (shout out for stocking Blood Brothers) and a great cocktail list. Cool ambience and vibe. Attentive service. Often difficult to find a seat.
Gord and I had supper this evening at El Rey Mezcal Bar (they opened in May). It's a cute spot. They had a great rum selection (which I appreciated) and an interesting beer selection (which Gord appreciated).
Gord had the Anticuchos ... "Peruvian meat skewers" is beef heart (Gord is adventurous at times). He said it was really good and he'd get it again.
I had the Skirt Steak Tostada. It too was delicious. It had a bit of a bite. I'd get it again.
Nick was our server and he took good care of us. He was very knowledgeable about the food and their rum.
