Amazing food; I'm Persian, take my word for it. Nice and professional staff and excellent service. We live in Burlington; we've been there couple of times. So far so excellent.
very traditional persian food. Try grilled lamb, chicken and beef. Yogurt beverage with mint in. However, everything is a little bit sour to me.

Decor/Ambiance:
Located on a busy street, only street parking available. It does have an outside sitting area. Inside: the lights are dimmed, dark furniture, candle lighting up the table. A tv playing a view of a sunset at an ocean (which i thought waa random) The chairs are very cozy . A decent place for a date night.
Food:
They bring you tortilla type bread, butter, parsley, turnip, mint as a complimentary starter.
Grape leave: not my favorite as it had a sweet flavour to it. They do come out fresh and hot! Served with yougurt.
Chicken korma (qorma), it's a blend of green veggies stew with kidney beans and chicken. If you have ever had mulikhia this taste familiar to it. It was alright.
Beef Koobideh: Comes with rice (with butter), grilled tomatoes, onion. The beef kobideh was tasty and flavourful when you add a splash of lime on it. I did find it a little dry.
Service/ Price:
The service was very good, they are professional and attentive.
The price was definitely higher compared to other similar type of food. $23 for koobideh (picture attached has two portions). You are mostly paying for the environment. If you just want good food for less, any reputable place can beat this place.
Darbar is amazing. The food was absolutely delicious. Flavourful, filling, fragrant. I can't say enough good things about this place. We ordered the eggplant appetizer, the veal skewer, the beef skewer. Even the rice was fantastic. If I had to say something negative, the food was very rich. And could have used a palette cleanser. :) I will definitely go back.
By far the best Persian restaurant in Toronto. The barg kabob is tender and all the foods and appetizers were perfect! Would eat here every day if I could! The service was great too. We were able to take the stroller in, but not much else in terms of amenities for babies. Thankfully the little one was fed, changed, and enjoyed himself too.
This place offers better ambience than other persian establishments. I think if you are taking someone out for a nicer dinner you can come here, but the food is the same as going to any casual diner. I think because of the price, this place was empty when we came in for dinner on the weeknight compared to other places that serve the same food and portion sizes.
Best persian restaurant joint in toronto. Kebab is super tenderous and delicious. Service is excellent, bread with butter is served and everything on the menu is priced right and taste even better. Very tender kabobs, my table had veal, chicken, and beef. Kind service and delicious food but you can eat similar quality for much cheaper in North York. Price reflects the locarion thouh. They charge $1 for water in a bottle when you ask for water....be warned.
Wow! By far the best Persian I've had so far in Toronto.
Love the decor and music and there's a family feel to the service since the owner is on hand at all times.
I tired the Darbar Koobideh Kebab which was outstanding as was the rice. The portions are massive. The chicken breast skewers are good also as well as the walnut stew.
There are lots of options and although this is pricier Persian, it's delicious and the portions are big enough to have half of it left over for the next day.

Service service service. I love how this restaurant makes you feel. They were pleasant, always smiling, aware and ready to serve. The food was well prepared and the romantic setting gave a nice atmosphere.

Food is great -- especially the eggplant spread appetizer. Weird décor, but I guess it used to be a bar/pub. The food and service are so great, who cares?

Aside from the beautiful decor and cute looking servers, the food here is amazing. Stopped by last night, had the koobideh kebob, which came with plenty of rice and a couple of roasted tomatoes. The service was good, but it could've been the fact that it wasn't busy. I'll definitely be back.
It was our first time going to Darbar on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by a super friendly, polite, smiley hostess and seated immediately despite the fairly busy day. Nicely decorated. Nice Jazz music.
The Zeitoon parvarde, Barg and chicken kabob were out of this world! The tea and Zoolbia Bamieh desert was very nicely presented as well.
Overall, a great experience! I would definitely come back to Darbar and hope for the quality of food and service to stay the same! It's only Monday and I'm craving their food already!
This is without a doubt one of the best Persian restaurants in Toronto. The service is very friendly, the food is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
