The best Roti in Toronto. I live downtown amid many roti places but I gladly drive 45 mins for Mona's when I feel like West Indian roti.

Mona's Roti you are the best I drive from Bowmanville outside of Scarborough to get Roti and doubles.....was introduce to Roti by my Trinidadian High School friend love your food.
Just had your Jerk chicken Roti, it is absolutely amazing. Love it! Love it!.
Best roti skins and pharatha in town. Friendly service all the roti made In front of you.
Always packed with customers, good Roti / Dahl and accommodating service.
I used to live in Scarborough 10 years and would frequent Mona's roti quite often. Yesterday I happened to be in the neighborhood and decided to stop by. I was pleased to find that the quality, taste and service was still exactly how I remembered it - excellent. I miss this place!!
Love Mona's!! Never disappoints! The doubles are fantastic!
Top notch boneless roti & doubles..when im in the east end..its monas hands down. One love!
Mona a juss' murdah tings! Pure bad-bwoy roti and jerk chicken!
Food was excellent, only complaint is that they are not open on Sunday.
There's nothing better in and around the GTA!
The last time we were in Toronto, we didn’t have a car. As such, we stuck to more transit-friendly attractions, like Casa Loma and Ripley’s Aquarium. We also indulged in the tasting menu at DaiLo Restaurant. But, one big item from my to-do list that we never got to fulfill was to try some of the city’s best Caribbean food.
My friend and I enjoyed a very delicious lunch yesterday courtesy of Mona's Roti. We ordered a jerk chicken meal, a goat roti, a water, and a mango juice for $23. My goat roti was boneless which was a nice touch. I usually eat my roti with a knife and fork but I went at this full sammich style and it was great. I added hot sauce but I couldn't detect it. I'll ask for more next time. My friend said the jerk chicken was good too and his rice & peas were nicely sauced up with gravy. We enjoyed this meal off the trunk of his SUV because it was so beautiful out. Very limited seating available - definitely a takeout joint. I'll be taking food outta there again, that's for sure.
Got the curry chicken bone in with rice bean and chick peas. So good and authentic. The place was very busy but it was holiday times so I didn't mind waiting in line.
Amazing roti. Just amazing. The fact that other places order their dhalpouri from Mona's shouldn't come as a surprise. A little note - shrimp roti is only available at the end of the week (Thursday through Saturday) but you'll be glad you waited!
Excellent (Trinidadian) Roti. I'm from England - here for 30 years - and married into a Chinese Trinidadian family, and love my Roti: but it has to be really good for me to praise it.
My wife and I tried Mona's a few years ago on the recommendation of a few guys who had a hand in building our house, and we certainly enjoyed their rotis. Since it's not in our area, we hadn't been since. However, last week I was up in the general area, thought about Mona's as I was driving along Sheppard, and was surprised to spot it as I was passing: I knew it was on Sheppard, but didn't remember where.
I did a U turn, and went back to buy a couple of Chicken Rotis (on, and off the bone - the latter for me), and a couple of Vegetarian Rotis, with 3 vegetable fillings. I brought them home, and we polished off the chicken ones almost immediately. They were very good, with very fresh roti shells. We re-heated and ate the Vegetable ones in the evening, and loved them too.
The outcome was that I now have Two Roti Shops that are way above average, where I can be assured of great roti (the other is Caribbean Roti Palace on Bathurst, south of Honest Ed's).
Try them. If you like Roti, you won't be disappointed.
Customers & suggestions. It would be great if customers did not have to wait so long to place their orders.
I know we have options but when you decide to bring friends out to check out the venue and the food the wait is too long.
Can you not have more people at least three to the front serving the customers so the waiting would not be so long.
much appreciated loyal customer
Mona's always gets it right! Their roti's are made fresh, and I always pick up some when I make curry chicken at home. The people there are friendly too :)
Delicious !!!. One of my favorite Roti spots in Scarborough.... their double's are delicious as well
Great food. I always get doubles, chicken roti from here. If you want plantanes call ahead to set aside cause they always seem to sell out by the time I get there after work
I am currently on a quest to find some good “go-to” West Indian roti shops in the GTA. My requirements: Must be clean; Must be easily accessible from the highway (401); Must have ample free parking (or ANY free parking steps away); and Must serve good roti!...Run by proud Trinidadians, Mona’s Roti has been around for at least 25 years.
really liked the peas and rice. The rice and peas were soft and it was a good level of spicy. The mango vegetables were in big chunks that were also quite spicy. I was a little disappointed with the jerk chicken to be honest.
