I first went to Apache's when I was 18 years old living in Etobicoke, I am now 64 and I make it a point to go once a year even though I live 50 kms north of Toronto. At any given opportunity I take my kids there who are 33, 30 and 27 there to enjoy the best burgers in Ontario. The only noticeable change is the fact that they changed the brand of dill pickles. Originally they were "Strubs" but now have changed to an icicle dill... but what hasn't changed is the quality of the burger and the fast friendly service ... long live Apache's!
Still the best place, by far, for a great tasting burger and home cut fries. As well as the many other items and sides. Started coming in 1970 just after they opened. Was a weekly 'must do' during our high school (daze).
The wooden seats are gone, but the quality is still there. Lots of celebrities photos on their wall of fame who obviously feel the same.
I grew up not realizing how lucky I was till I moved 3hrs away, now it's my destination whenever I'm in the city. Best burger I've ever had, and along with the onion rings which I use to compare every other onion ring I ever eat, apache burger is the best burger place I've ever been too!
Apache Burgers is bomb as fuck! Straight up one of the best burgers i ever ate everytime im in toronto its like the first place i make a stop at
Best burgers in Toronto! And the homemade onion rings are old school and fantastic. Worth the trip! And the gentleman behind the counter puts on a show placing the toppings on your burgers. He tops everyone perfectly exactly what you ordered. Amazing.
Hadn't been there since 1983, still one of the best burgers in TO, next time I won't wait so long lol. Will be back soon. ðStill as great as I remember yum yum!
Being a vegetarian I have only tried the veggie burger and it is good and inexpensive. The fries are good too. The only drawback is that they don't accept any debit cards or credit cards. It is a cash only place. Other than that, it is perfect to grab a veggie burger.
Can't find that delicious charbroiled taste anywhere these days. Unless you go to Apache. Onion rings are primo also. Great staff and quick food!
Good and sloppy, greasy burgers fries and onion rings when you're in the mood for junk food in Etobicoke. One of he better places in the area.
I'm trying to remember why Apache Burger is legendary but it fails me. It just kinda is! Burgers are very good but it's 2016 and exceptional burgers are easy to find. The onion rings are particularly good. Definitely worth a try though.
Do you like burgers with a diner feel? This is the place for you. Everything is awesome, good and a little greasy (to help get it out I guess). Onion rings are delicious. I will be back for sure.
Apache serves up a decent burger, but is a little on the pricey side. Â If you have a greasy late night craving for fries, onion rings and burgers, apache is always a late night options for etobicoke locals.
A great burger place in the west end. This and Jumbo Burgers are my favourites. I recommend the banquet burger and fries and onion rings.
Decent burger for a decent price.
Love their handmade onion rings. They're crispy crunchy great! CASH ONLY
First timer - thoroughly enjoyed. This was my first time at Apache Burger and I enjoyed it. The interior is small with only a few tables but very clean.
Everything must be purchased separately...I had the regular burger and onion rings and my bf had the apache burger w/ a side of french fries and gravy..add in 2 drinks and our total was $25. I enjoyed the burger, you could taste the grill element to it which I liked it, but the onion rings were a bit too greasy for me.
I will definitely be returning.
Tried apache burger on Saturday I had the chicken bites and fries and onion rings and everything was amazing! Hand breaded onion rings - what could be better!
I don't care, I still like it. There seems to be a lot of negativity surrounding Apache Burger if one is to believe most of the reviews before my own. And I know a couple of people personally who still frequent the place, all the while bemoaning that it isn't as good as it used to be. Perhaps their memories are longer than mine or perhaps I'm not as fussy or perhaps my bias is limited due to the fact that I only have the veggie burger.
The point is I still think Apache Burger is a pretty great burger joint. Sure some of the folks behind the counter can be a little gruff but they're certainly never rude. The service is efficient and the quality of their toppings never fails. The veggie burger itself is always tasty, as are the fries and onion rings. I wish I could personally vouch for their other menu items but I have no problem recommending Apache Burger to fellow vegetarians who still want a good burger, even (or especially) at 2:00 AM.
But the one thing that stands out the most to me is a little touch: every time the tomatoes are about to be put on my burger, the employee will always, without fail, pick through the tomatoes so as to ensure that they don't put any yucky under ripe ones on. Love it.
Have been eating here since high school -- I love it -- would stop between meals for a burger if in the area. Sentimental yumminess!
Great burgers. Amazing fries and rings. Very nice decor. We all love it. Will definitely come back.
Good. I like Apache... there's just something about it and in my experience the staff are nice guys. Filling burger too!
Apache's Vegetarian. Whether you're someone whose looking for a quick bite to eat or someone who enjoys a little bit of local love, Apache is a great place for a classic burger and shake. Yes, even for a vegetarian.
Although I can't speak personally about the meat-burger aspect of Apache, I can tell you the it's veggie burger is supreme. They also have onions rings and shakes to die for. It's my first go-to burger spot if I'm ever craving one (even at 3am).
You're not going to get above-average service--the people there are cooking your burger, not boosting your ego and beaming fake smiles at you.
The retro set-up includes framed newspaper clippings of famous people who have dined there, vintage seats and neon signs. If this isn't your scene, don't let it scare you back to McDonalds.
The burgers are excellent old school diner style, nice atmosphere. I found it a little pricey.
Burgers burgers burgers.... This is the place in Etobicoke.... And killer onion rings too!!! A great late night burger place!
One of thebest. One of the best burgers around. Classic burger with good taste. Highly recommeneded.
Very filling. I love this place. Their onion rings are out of this world
Very good!!. I prefer some of the newer "gourmet" burger joints, but apache holds a special place in my heart and stomach

Easily the most filling burger I've had, great onion rings as well.
Although the burgers are good I wouldn't go as far as saying they are the best. The best thing here is the atmospere of the restaurant and the onion rings .
Best Burgers in the GTA. I've eaten at a lot of Burger places. This place is hands down the best burger joint I've ever eaten at. I had the Apache Burger. It was amazing. I'll definately be going back here.
Apparently some of the Toronto Maple Leafs and other NHLers share my opinions. Inside the restaurant they have many pictures of hockey players eating at Apache Burger. Domi, Sundin, Stajan, McCabe, Kaberle and Shanahan to name a few.
