The incomparable Jimmy's on Gerrard just West of Bay siting in its own standalone house, with murals of other famous Jimmys, serves one of the best coffees in town by efficient staff in a comfortable space. A must stop recharge place!
I prefer this Jimmy's or the one that recently opened on McCaul. I like the cute little space with an upstairs part which encourages lounging. Coffee is decent and reliable with a good selection of snacks
Jimmy's Coffee is an awesome place to go for a coffee.
The Cortado I ordered for $3 was made with really good expresso and the perfect amount of milk. It gave me the perfect amount of energy to make it through my long day. I'd much rather spend $3 here than at another coffee joint.
It is quite spacious inside too. I'll be back for more study dates with myself.
It's pretty unassuming from the outside, but with 3 floors, there's plenty of space at this Jimmy's location. Everything here is pretty consistent with the other locations. My favourite drink from here is a chocolate chai latte (that might not be the exact name) - great for a hot, sunny day!
I ordered the JVO for $4 and the hazelnut croissant for $2-3? The JVO – Jimmy’s very own was an iced vanilla latte with caramel drizzle and they really do it right here. The iced latte was not too strong, smooth and the barista applied the right amount of caramel drizzle so the syrup wasn’t overpowering the drink. It was a simple drink but I love it, it was a perfect cold drink for hot summer days.
On the other hand the pastry wasn’t my favorite. It was not too sweet and had a strong almond taste so it goes well with a cup of coffee. However the croissant was stale and the outer layer was too flaky. There is nothing I hate more than biting into a croissant and having it disintegrate into a million flaky crumbs :(. Also, does anyone hate it when someone cover the entire croissant with powdered sugar? It was extremely messy to eat with million of flaky crumbs and powdered sugar stick onto your hands…
Found this place wandering through all of the second cups and Tim Hortons in the discovery district. Nice building, nice selection of treats and delicious coffee.
The third Jimmy's I've been to now, just as delicious as the others. What a neat building they were able to secure. And don't be alarmed by the small space below, it all goes up :-) Same friendly and outgoing staff as their other locations, same delicious Americano! Wonderful place to get work done. You can't go wrong!
