I was fortunate enough to have my kids hold my and my wife's 50th wedding anniversary dinner last night. It started with the outstanding welcome and customer service by "Rob". He was kind in moving his vehicle in front of the restaurant so my daughter could locate her car there as she had flowers and cake to deliver for our anniversary. The rest of the night was filled with phenomenal food, service and so much humour - by Rob. Him and the staff that assisted at our table will be forever memorable and the reason we will all be back. Thank you Grappa for making our night last night magical.
Went here for a business lunch a while back. The food was good and was about average for what you might expect from an independent, authentic Italian restaurant might deliver. Prices were "average" which is to say I consider them slightly high as compared to momma preparing the same thing at home (so to speak) but certainly not out of line as you might encounter elsewhere.
This restaurant has been our FAVORITE spot since I was introduced to it back when it was on college street. It was our go to spot for birthdays and anniversaries because it never disappoints. Food and service are absolutely fantastic I'm not exactly sure what some people are saying. I was really surprised to read reviews about "poor service". All I have to say is you get what you put into people. Anyways. I recommend grappa ristorante to everybody
Really enjoyed the Grilled Calamari appetizer. Both of our main dishes were excellent. Decent wine list. Would return.
It's Like Your In Italy!. So i went to this restaurant for Summerlicious , it was also the last weekend on the 23rd. I was taken by amazement as i entered the atmosphere with my fam so on the spot 5, something i really found unique is the long mirror between the table like on the way. The service was beyond impeccable, the waiter even put a lil of our appetizers on our plates for us :o the bread's were of 4 types generious,,,We ordered Calamari e Panzanella &
Gamberoni di Casa. For appetizer i got Grilled Miami Ribs, main - Roasted Chicken Breast finished off w. Vanilla Creme Brulee overall food i savoured every lst bite but my chicken lacked in taste so a 4.5. Wanna gourmet meal w. a full belly here's ur place ;)
Great times at Grappa. My girlfriends and I went to Grappa for Winterlicious 2011 and absolutely loved our dinner experience. The staff were amazingly helpful and very professional, as well as accommodating when my party and I were a little late for our reservation. The food was extremely well done and delicious. The ambience of the place is fantastic and very cozy. I would recommend and have recommended Grappa to friends and acquaintances.
Delicious dishes. Love it, the best! any dish is delicious. very nice atmosphere. The waiters are very friendly, it really feels like you know them. Nelson and Philip are great.

Amazing evening. We had a party of three, so it was about an evening of good food and conversation--all of which were achieved at this amazing restaurant. The atmosphere is perfect, whether it's for a romantic date, or for a social evening with friends. Our wine was delicious, they were attentive in refilling our San Pellegrino as well as the wine. I started with the Insalata Giardino, amazing and the dressing was delicious-not too sweet not too oily, another person had Insalata Caprese and raved, and someone else had the carpaccio-which is a MUST at the table. I had veal, they both had lamb chops, we had grappa, espresso, and dessert. I have no complaints, the service was perfect, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was intimate (but not too crowded), clean, and quiet enough to have a conversation. We will absolutely be back here very soon.
They had a special prix fixe menu, which we chose our mains off of, but didn't choose the antipasti off of. I saw other diners who ordered off the prix fixe menu, which was a great value for the quantity and quality of food. I would recommend this to diners who want a fabulous night out without spending too much.
One of the best meals ever!. Went there for Winterlicious 2011. They had additional apps and mains that were not on the menu. I have never had lamb before but it was too good to resist! Everything was perfect! Considering how busy it was the staff was attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend this to people!

Foodaholic. We tried this restaurant during Summerlicious 2010.The food was amazing and so were the portions.The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable.It was nice to go to a restaurant on Summerlicious that clearly did not cut corners and appreciated your business.We can't wait to return.

Great service, great food!. Went there for Winterlicious! They had additional prix fixed menus that weren't originally listed.
Service was great from beginning to end, very courteous, professional and friendly. Staff were well informed about the menu and the (huge) wine list.
The menu is pretty big and ranges from traditional to more contemporary. We had grilled sardines for appetizer, really big sardines that practically filled us up. The steak was juicy, flavourful and cooked just right. The fish was also seared to the perfect doneness. We had creme brulee for dessert, one of the better we've had - super rich, not too sweet.
Just great! Every single time!. I've eaten at grappa with my whole family, and I've eaten there with just my girlfriend.
It simply doesn't faze them, it's a great place with friendly staff, hi caliber meals for reasonable prices, and the British guy really knows his wines!
Once he suggested a wine, and we didn't like it, so he said he'll just get us a different one and not to worry about the one he suggested. Talk about a cool guy! My favorite restaurant in Toronto hands down is Grappa!
