We went for the fish and chips, tried both Haddock & the Canadian famous Halibut. Haddock is far better tastier than Halibut. Portions were really good and lots of chips (fries eh!). The deep fried Mars bar on top of vanilla ice cream was sooo good. Kudos to Google Map for pointing us to a very friendly Scotish Restaurant.
Love the; all you can eat white fish and chips on Thursday nights.
Great family style owners. Brings good meaning from the old countries! Worked just northeast of the chippy. Food would tame the mighty sword. Thanks!
The best fish and chips I've tasted outside of Scotland. The staff are really nice too. I love this place!
Best in town. Authentic dishes. Fresh and crispy batter.

Great fish and chips in a cosy, friendly atmoshphere. Love your haddock - reminds me of the old chippies in Scotland.
Also love the two photos of the auld brig on the St Andrew's golf course - on photo taken in summer and the other in winter!
Well do not get fool with the exterior of the place , it worth entering inside and having a bite. Really good quality of fish and chips. Do not forget to try the Fried Oreo with Ice cream 😄.........Loved it here
This place used to be the place to go. And it still is. Standard issuer fish and chips with a twisted their deep fried mars bars are good, as long as your not watching your girlish figure! St. Andrews is a hidden gem in Scareborough!
One of the best fish and chips locations in Scarborough. Fish is fresh without overdoing it on the batter, served with scottish style bread and coleslaw.
I ordered St. Andrews Fish & Chips through UberEATS. If you haven’t used it before, I wrote an entire post about UberEATS, explaining about it and how easy it is to use!. It was sort of a last minute thing and I managed to put my order through the app before they close! Thank goodness they accepted it.
Best Fish in Chips in Scarborough - Also the most expensive ! lol - Worth the price, for a treat or special occasion, visit St Andrews for a delightful british meal. Dont forget the deep fried snickers for dessert !
Close to the real thing. Clam chowder, halibut & chips (best yummy chips around!) it'a all good!! Lived in the UK for a year and this is pretty darn close!
Having lived in Scotland for over eight years.... This is a pretty good place to get my cravings taken care of! On a recent trip to Toronto, I find this place on the internet, and both my sister (who lived in Glasgow for five years) and myself were very excited. It's definitely out of the way- got lost once going there, and it was about 22km from the city center- and the decor is nothing to write home about, but the food is darn close to exactly what I needed. Haggis and black pudding and chips... yummy. Fish and chips... yummy. Steak and kidney pie... yummy. Deep fried Mars bars and Irn Bru... not my personal favorites, but yummy if you crave these too. The best haggis I've ever had? Not even close, but it will do... it will do.
Got take-out - very yummy fish & chips!
St. Andrew’s provides a good selection of fish to choose from, including halibut, haddock, and even salmon. To get a good feel of their fried seafood I went with the haddock platter, which includes three shrimp, three scallops, and chips. St. Andrew’s uses a thick batter which results in an excellent crunch. While the haddock was flaky and delicious, I particularly enjoyed the large juicy shrimp and scallops, a rarity, as too many restaurants use saltwater injected artificially inflated “jumbo” seafood. The chips are thickly cut and on the shorter side, which provides the perfect ratio of crunchy exterior and fluffy interior.
