Great food, and also a great service! Feels like in Italy!! Ask for the great house wine that they have in here! A real gem l in Etobicoke. Must see!
Came here and got the baked vegetarian. I was very pleased with my choice. It was super fresh and all of the veggies and sauce meshed well together it was overall a great dish. It was actually delicious. However it was 15.00 for a portion I ate in one sitting- I have paid 10 bucks for a bigger portion at other places with enough to last me for 2 meals but I guess here it's quality over quantity. Which I can still appreciate. It was super cheesy I didn't end up eating all of the cheese - I always feel guilty for some reason. The service was alright - it was lunch time but not a wait ! I will return just a little pricy but worth it in the end.
In this entry I'm telling you about Rocco's take-out, which is located right beside the Rocco's Plum Tomato restaurant on the Queensway in south Etobicoke.
Wonderful. Had a birthday celebration here tonight! Food was amazing!!! Took a while, because.. people.. IT IS PREPARED FRESH! It was worth the wait.. server (sorry, I did not get her name) was patient, and funny... there were 6 of us, every dish ordered was perfectly prepared... delicious and fresh.. house wine was great.. (we ordered 2 L of it)... Will def go there again!!!! it's not fast food, so don't expect 5 minute service We were so impressed with everything.. Rocco's in Oakville was our "go to" place.. and we are happy to find this one just as good, even though it's a longer drive for us from Mississauga! 10 out of 10!!!! Thanks to the servers.. and the chefs.. we even got a complimentary birthday cake and candle.. served with a Happy Birthday song at the end of the meal! LOVED the entire experience!!!! Loved it all!!!
Wow, I had the loaded chicken sandwich from the take out portion of the restaurant. Might be one of the best things I've eaten in a long time.
Huge surprise! Try it
Rocco is a fantastic chef. My husband and I tried Rocco's Restaurant for the first time on our anniversary. It was such a lovely place and the food was absolutely outstanding. We decided to take our adult children there for a belated birthday celebration. To my delight, I heard that Rocco was present at this restaurant rather than at his other one. I had to compliment him on the fabulous food and the beautiful peaceful surroundings. Then, to our delight, Rocco came over and introduced himself to the rest of our family. My children have great reviews regarding his restaurant too. His meals are superb and his desserts are scrumptious. What a fantastic chef!

Tasty. We ate there (Queensway) last night. It was not busy at all…very quiet but the service and the quality of food was not lax. We both left satisfied. For appetizer we were deciding between the grilled or fried calamari… soooo glad we picked the grilled – it was flavourful and the quantity was perfect for sharing. We ordered the Angel Hair Pasta – mine with mussels (lots of it), his with chicken, both fresh and creamy… we thoroughly enjoyed. We didn’t think we had room for dessert but their tiramisu was just sweet and light enough to cap the meal. Bonus – we had a $10 certificate from dine.to We will dine there again!
We reserved as a big group of 10 and Roccos accomodated us well. Our server was cold to start but later warmed up and we were glad she did cause it made a difference. Everyone had a great satisfying meal. Can't wait to come back to try something new!
Had great life music Friday nights and summer feeling sitting at the patio. First impression might not be the best,as the place shows age,but had great pasta and killer mussels in terragon sauce!! Also have Poli grappa and great espresso.
This place has great food and good prices. Their lunch specials are very large, they use fresh ingredients. The women that is usually at the front during lunch is super sweet
This is the original location and the best because Rocco is actually there to oversee. The chicken angel hair pasta is simply delicious as are the veal sandwiches for takeaway and the duck when u r eating in. Reason this one is better is also close to market for fresh ingredients other locations not as fresh.
Nice Spot. This place has a great atmosphere. Nice for a couple to enjoy themselves. Good food. Good priced food.
There is a take-out location of Rocco's Plum Tomato right next door to the Rocco's restaurant on The Queensway. This is hands down the best place in Toronto for a sandwich under $10.
I was unaware this is a chain restaurant until I passed by a second one. This is the Spicy Sicilian, which has breaded veal, roasted peppers, grilled Bermuda onions, Fontina cheese, roasted tomato, cured capicollo, baby green
My 7-year old son said after his dinner: "This is my new favourite restaurant. Can we come here everyday?"
We came for Sunday evening dinner at 5pm for first sitting, because we had our 2 young kids with us. The staff are as nice as they are good-looking (Wow! Every single one of them were gorgeous)...but the best thing about the service was that were very attentive without being overbearing.
The food? Very good. My husband says you can always tell a restaurant's calibre by their steak alone, and while it was a rib-eye (not his favourite), he said it was very good. My chicken Parmegiana was tasty and my kids devoured their Margherita Pizza very happily. Did we mention that we also ordered the grilled Tiger shrimp and the fried calamari appetizer? (We were hungry that night....plus we had a Groupon) We even indulged on dessert - a slice of strawberry shortcake and a slice of the Triple chocolate mousse. I don't know where they get their desserts (do they make them? I don't know), they were delicious.
Rocco himself made an appearance at another table, and there was a private party in the back room - it was busy, but the service was great. The decor was....interesting....but somehow it all worked as a great setting for the entire experience.
We will definitely be going back - my kids have already asked when. It's a family-friendly "upscale casual" spot - pretty hard to find.
Had the butterfly shrimp followed by a serving of Angel
Hair with chicken. Amazing food and a burst of flavor.
This restaurant was very good and I am definitely going
back again.
I have always loved Rocco’s Plum Tomato and I was much saddened to see
its Bloor St. location close. This one’s a bit of a trek for me, but whenever I
find myself out along The Queensway, I make it a point to stop in.
It’s really just usual restaurant fare with a good selection of pasta dishes. I
do really like their tomato sauce, it’s a classic, simple and perfect.
