Authentic dishes and served just like in Hong Kong. You can watch them make the dishes through their front windows - hanging ducks, chicken, etc.
I had been to this Chinese restaurant in autumn 2013 and fondly remembered their wonton noodle soups that were tasty and very affordable.
We walked in on a Friday evening and got a table immediately. There were so many other people here too. It really is a popular spot for traditional Chinese food.
I thought I'll regret going here cause I ordered fried rice instead of the noodle. Turn out it was great! I ordered bbq pork on fried rice and the portion is quite big. Although the fried rice is not that good, the bbq pork was amazing! And the dipping sauce also taste really good. Then there's the tea, I don't know what kind of tea they have, but it didn't taste good. But overall, I like the food. Definitely will go back here again.
p.s I didn't take a photo because I was really hungry.
Very good food. Very good price.
Took forever for someone to take our order and being our bill. Nobody was paying attention to us. Once we ordered the food came quickly though.
Would go back.
A great restaurant, followed the flow of Asians into the restaurant. The won-ton soup with noodles is a meal in it's self. Not fancy, but good spicy asian food.
Unfamiliar with this area but followed locals into King's as experience has taught me to go where locals go! This place serves the standard Asian fare like noodles, rice, congee, soups and BBQ meats. Takeaway is an option if you can't get a table as its limited inside. Good food in well sized...
Good spot for a quick and inexpensive lunch. Had the rice plates, one with BBQ duck and one with roast pork. There was quite a bit of meat given. The meats were salty as expected so the rice pairs very well with it. The food comes quickly but don't expect a lot of customer service.
The food are delicious and inexpensive. They have a regular special such as a particular bowl of rice/noodle/congee for only $3.95. Their customer service are pretty good as well. Highly recommended.
We tried their wonton and seafood noodle bowl, which was very good and worth what we paid. The food was fresh and seemed authentic. Service was quick and polite.
Service is slow and spotty, but the food makes up for it. It's cheap Chinese comfort food, with a huge menu of stuff to choose from. All their BBQ stuff is great; chicken, pork, etc. Not a fan of the duck though, mine was about 80% bone and fat vs. actual meat.
(Excuse the photos...didn't remember to take them until we were 80% done)
I can always count on this place for the BEST comfort food. This place offers great tasting Chinese food for SUPER cheap! Best place to buy roasted pork in Chinatown!
I was craving some late night noodles after getting off work. I had never been to Chinatown before, so I thought I would check out this place. I made the right choice. Large portion and reasonably priced. Flavour was exactly what I was seeking. Recommended.
Food here was very good. Service was slow and as i was dining alone, i was seated on a table with 2 other people. One who was making a mess with his food and the other yelling on his phone.
Definitely bring some friends so you don't get that same experience as me. Also, cash only.
Really good food.. My server was mean to me while ordering. He didn't seem to like me. He hurt me with his words. I was very injured by his words. Then I ate my food. It was very good. I didn't like that he dropped our plates a inch or two above the table and quickly ran away, I tipped him accordingly. He said something to me as I was walking out to leave.
Excellent food!. Its so yummy here!
Love their BBQ duck, always flavorful and meaty unlike their competition, two blocks down the street (forgot the name of the place).
Anyways if you want something truly authentic and lives up to their name, its King's Noodle. They also make the best Chinese doughnuts for their congee.
A group of us would come here every day after classes are done to get some food before study sessions.
Its amazing quality and clean atmosphere. Its also crowded and sometimes you sit with people you don't know (if there's a seat available at a table and you're going by yourself). But other than that the staff are friendly here to!
Been around since I was a kid!. The food has generally been unchanged since as long as I remember. I visited with my grandparents recently and it is a lot cleaner than when I was in school. I love coming here for wonton noodles, bbq meats on rice and congee. Best of all, the prices are so cheap!!
Simply the Best. Best Noodle dishes in Chinatown. The noodles are perfectly textured and fluent, and they sure know how to do it. I had the fish ball soup with the thin noodle and it was perfectly enriched in body and flavor. I would defiantly come back with friends and family along side.
A main staple of Chinatown. It has been many years since I have been in Toronto. I glad to see this place still here and serving good food.
Always good. Perfect place for cheap lunch in Chinatown. Portions are massive too. Go for the barbeque duck or barbeque pork noodle soup, mmmmm :)

Succulent roast pigs, ducks & chickens hanging in the window of this TO noodle house beckoned and taunted me. I was sold. There's something about crispy pork skin and succulent duck meat that make me feel all funny & fluttery inside- enough so that I barely notice the rude waitresses or the balls-to-the-wall seating. Sticky steamed rice in banana leaves, simple pan fried noodles, even roast duck with plain rice- all awesome. I usually guilt-trip my husband into stopping in when in town, followed by a mandatory stop at Dragon City Mall for a street waffle. I just wish the waitresses didn't look upon me with such impatience and disdain. Oh, and no credit or debit- which sucks- but it's not hurting their business, so make sure to get cash out!
Classic HK Food. I love going to this place for my beef congee and beef rice noodle with my hong kong style tea. I think I've had this same combination at least 20 times.
Good food & delicious. Typical Cantonese style restaurant: loud, fast & plain service attitude! Bbq items are excellent & savoury. Dimsum is nothing spectacular. We will be sticking to the main menu for sure!
This place is the BEST.. I wish we had a place like this in Winnipeg!
Authentic Chinese food... not the Americanized crap you find everywhere.
Their congee? DELICIOUS. As was their donut stick. Delicious to dip in.
Their beef brisket rice is awesome, very fragrant, VERY generous portion of meat and you can share it. Too good! Their BBQ pork was great too, their fried rice, the porkchop rice... all the times we've been here it's been stellar.
It's always packed when we go and you can see why. It's always busy, and yes it's not the prettiest restaurant but it's still very delicious. Go here for the food and you will not be disappointed.
Also I should add most patrons here are Chinese. Should say something about the place!
This is the best Chinese food I have ever had, the service is slow at times but usually great. If your looking for a great, friendly atmostphere go to the kings noodle by the way I strongly recommend the Chicken Chowmain with Black Bean sauce!
Soup for Stan. While travelling recently in T.O. I dropped in late afternooon on a Friday on the way to Niagara. We had not eaten that day and WOW does a bowl of duck with noodle in soup ever restore the mind and body. Simple, yet complex. Its Stan's favorite and I was happy to enjoy in his honour. Yum
The noodle soups are delicious and the beef tendon is to die for! Best place I've found in Toronto that served tendon that melts in your mouth.
Best in Chinatown!. After trying many restaurants in Chinatown, we always come back to King Noodle House. While many will always say that Swatow is the best, in my opinion King Noodle House is far more authentic and delicious!
The interior is relatively clean, and while some may find the service to be rude, it is very efficient and with a basic of Cantonese, one can make do. That being said - don't be afraid to gesture at waitresses to flag them down, which some who are used to normal North American restaurants may find rude.
Dishes we enjoy include:
Sliced Beef Congee
Beef and Bean Sprout with Rice Noodle
Duck with Noodles
Duck with Rice
Steamed Pork Buns
.. and many others.
Overall, if you are looking for a quick bite to eat in Chinatown (before 1am of course!) I highly recommend King Noodle House!
Good food, reasonable price. Pretty solid go-to place for Hong Kong style food. Duck and BBQ pork here is pretty awesome too.
Big fan of the duck congee, although the fried dough sticks to go with are sometimes stale (so I stay away from those). Can't complain overall
Also, totally hits the spot after a night of drinking. Open late for all you clubbing hooligans.
Still good after the renovation. Here's a place (unlike Pho 88) that survived a renovation without losing any of the staff or the charm. Again, it's a low-cost Chinese food feeding barn, but the extensive menu and broad selection of barbecued Chinese delicacies make one's mouth water. The prices also can't be beat!
I really like the food here.
Good noodles, fresh veggies, etc.
Although they do not have a second set of doors which makes it very cold by the front!
The hot and sour soup at King’s Noodle is one of the best I’ve tasted; it’s made with just the right balance of spicy and sour.
If you look at their menu, the items are quite affordable and they don’t skimp on portion sizes. If you’re heading here or any classic Cantonese restaurant for the first time, just know that you better know what you’re looking to order as it’s common that the wait staff are snappy.
Ohemgee YESSSSSS haven’t had barbecued duck in so long and it was worth the wait. The beautiful mix of savoury, mellow, bite to the noodles, hot congee. If this doesn’t float your boat, check out other items on their extensive menu but either way, you’ll be happy with your dishes. Needless to say, I just had an amazing meal. Definitely did not hurt that I was there with my parents
If you are craving Chinese food, where better to go than Chinatown? King’s Noodle House is located in heart of Chinatown and they specialize in BBQ meats and noodles.
This is my go to place for comfort food. One of my favorite dishes is #48 - a soup with noodles, dumplings, Chinese broccoli and bbq'd duck. The bbq'd duck is deeeelicious! You can order just the bbq'd duck too. It comes whole, in half or quarter portions. It's probably the best thing they make.
I also enjoy the general Tao chicken #298, stir-fried baby snow pea tips with
garlic #118, and spicy noodle dish #235.
The congee is very satisfying.
And the rice flour roll with donut, #149, is filling but fun.
Renovated dining area is pleasant. Service is quick.
Love this place and have been coming here since I was little. Sure, its busy, and loud, but the food is great, fast and authentic. This is food that I crave. The bathrooms are not great, but the overall experience is one to definitely repeat!
King’s Noodles 富豪麵家 is one of the restaurants that reminds me of home - Hong Kong. King’s Noodles serves cheap and good quality Cantonese food. I like their BBQ pork and duck dishes which have become a staple among many of the restaurant’s patrons. The restaurant looks clean and bright for its location in Chinatown, and for the quantity and quality the price is reasonable.
I must say nothing bad about King's Noodle Restaurant. Must never.
Simply because there isn't anything bad to say about this restaurant.
I've been coming here since I was young, before I lived in Toronto. I grew up with these tastes, preparations and expectations. My family comes here because it's good and the prices are very reasonable. The portions are massive, the BBQ is done exceptionally well and the wontons are plump and flavourful.
The restaurant is always bustling. I am always certain (as should you) that the food will be juicy, crispy and succulent. Speaking of succulent, the duck here is really good. It's a standard leg or thigh cut into manageable strips to make you look less barbaric when stuffing into your mouth. Often times, I do it anyways, its a finger food for me.
The roast pork is always also very good. Skin is super crispy and the pork itself is juicy and tender. With the dipping sauce, it's unbeatable. It always hits the spot.
I almost always get the Duck, BBQ pork (don't mistake this for roast pork), and wonton in noodle soup. It's the best of all worlds and only about 8 bucks. The bowl arrives steaming with the BBQ fragrances you want and crave for. The first bite is usually the best. A bit of this, a bit of that, with or without noodles with this bite. It's heaven for me.
The soup is flavour packed which makes the noodles even better, them already being great.
The Congee is very good here also. My mother orders that all the time, and I always help her polish it off (which is not very easy because the portions are large).
The restaurant is now more modern. They have a long booth style bench hugging one wall and the wall decor has changed too. The utensils are branded King's and I'm confident in their cleanliness.
What I really like about King's is the environment. I feel part of the crowd amongst others that enjoy food as much as I do. I'm sitting here with my favourite dish and you're sitting beside me slurping on yours. Seeing kids eat the food I grew up eating is nice. I feel assured that the flavours I love will stay around for a while, even well after this bowl of noodle soup.
Best bbq duck anywhere. The seafood congee is unreal. Any noodle dish - also ridiculous. This is classic Spadina chinese food. So good in every way. The original. The best.
King’s Noodle specializes in wonton noodles and rice dishes. Wonton Noodle is a classic Hong Kong dish that has become a favourite among many Torontonians.
We tried two dishes while there, the barbecued duck and wonton in noodle soup and the spicy fried noodle with pork and shrimp (items #48 and #235 if you’re looking at their menu).
Their barbequed duck and wonton noodle is decent and the portions are very good for the price that they charge ($8.75). I like that they have fresh barbequed duck for sale at the store, so you know that the meat you’re getting is fresh.
The spicy noodle was dry (or not overly-greasy), which in Chinese stir-fry is a good quality. I personally would have liked if they used larger shrimp as the smaller ones have little to no flavour. The dish has quite a kick to it, enough that I didn’t have to add any sriracha.
If you look at their menu, the items are quite affordable and they don’t skimp on portion sizes. If you’re heading here or any classic Cantonese restaurant for the first time, just know that you better know what you’re looking to order as it’s common that the wait staff are snappy.
I’ll definitely be back here when looking for a quick bite in Chinatown.
