I went to Balsamico with my girlfriend for our birthdays and not only was the food AMAZING, so was the staff! I love the ambiance. Great place! Will be back again for sure!!

Amazing fresh made food and unbelievably friendly service. Tried the tiramisu after reading the raving reviews and it did not disappoint. Michele treated us like family and even showed my boyfriend how to properly debone his sea bass (which was delicious). 10/10

Discovery of the year!!!!. Before I tell you how great this place is,you have to know that my wife and I dine out alone or with the friends at least 2-3 times a week.
it is already so hard to find a place with great food that is freashly prepared with so much love and taste but at the same time having an excellent service(Linda during lunch was our server 2 times but the other guys at night where as well great) and pleasant atmosphere....trust me it'a lottery:-)
We walked in from the street not knowing the restaurant at all,we just really liked the prices and the decor was very inviting so we thought we have nothing to loose. Oh boy did we have everything to gain......by far it is our fave restaurant by far,we have been back already 5 times since last week bringing in different friends(we have a bit competition going on with our friends,who can find a better hang out place)and every one of them loved the food and the atmosphere.
I tried lots of things already if I realy had to pick my favorite would have to be Spigola(whole fish-if you are lucky to get your hands on it,it goes quick since they get it fresh every day) grilled and home made gnocchi ,please make sure you finish it off with home made tiramisu which is so nice and light it melts in your mouth.
They get packed Friday and Saturday so make sure you get reso( we made mistake and didn't so the wait at the door was about 30 min) but they where offering free pizza slices for ppl waiting at the door which was great touch,and pizza was out of this world,thin crust lots of flaw our yummy...
I usually keep these hard found gem's only for me but this place is so great I just can't be so selfish and not tell you about it:-)

An Italian Gem at Yonge and Davisville. My deepest gratitude goes to the owners and staff at Balsamico for transforming each of my dining experiences into a 'lasciatemi cantare' moment! I've had the great pleasure of trying many savoury dishes made and served with the type of love from nonna's cucina. I've frequented Balsamico on multiple occasions - from business meetings to dinner with friends, coupled with the amazing staff, every experience has been an impressive and unique culinary delight!
I want to give a special thank you to Alphie for the great service and making me a fabulous espresso/mint tea/baileys concoction! It's definitely a winner! Perhaps i'll see it named on the menu soon...And a thank you as well to the gentleman who put my italian to shame for all the attention to detail.
Definite must haves: gnocchi gorgonzola, penne gusto, pizza Simone, Salmone, Dolce di lece cheese cake and Tiramisu!!

One of my favorite restaurants in Toronto. We have been going on a regular basis to Balsamico for the past 2 years. Aside from the amazing service, warm atmosphere and great décor, the food is absolutely delicious. Balsamico's Chef, Ned Spahic, can transform even a simple salad to a culinary delight and the wide Italian-infused menu consists a variety of dishes, from pizza to Risotto; from salad to grilled octopus (to die for!).
Balsamico makes their own pasta which makes it one of the few restaurants I know that put an extra effort on freshness and unique taste.
As someone who values the culinary experience and has been to restaurants all over the world, I find Balsamico to be a sight for sore eye, or in other words: their food will make you smile again. Kudos to Ned and Linda for great service and food that is made with love and attention to details.
My favorites: Grilled Octopus (on weekends), Veal Scaloppini with side of pasta in mushroom sauce, and the Pesto Gnocchi (made in-house).
(I would post a picture, but unfortunately I 'clean' my plate faster than I take pictures...)
PS: You must try the Tiramisu!
Balsamico is the BEST. A few friends and I discovered Balsamico when it opened a few years ago and we return almost weekly for amazing pasta, fantastic pizzas, reasonably priced wine selection and the best fresh daily specials you can imagine. The chef's name is Ned and he's build an impressive solid menu. The service has always been stellar and is often supervised the owner/wife of the chef Lynda, who knows her regulars and almost everyone between St Clair and Eg by their first name and fav dishes. Totally, totally recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates great food, great atmosphere.
Amazing! Great food! This place is a hidden gem. If it were located on King St instead of North Toronto, it would be ranked right up there with Buca as best Italian in the city.
Yana told me to try her dish and I must say, even if I was in love with the smokiness of my dish, her salmon turned out to be the better choice. Perfectly cooked, moist and plump fillet, fresh and no fishy after-taste, how can that disappoint? If my dish were not good, I would probably be kicking myself for choosing calamari and not the salmon. A tantrum was not really warranted when served with beautifully grilled calamari, right?
