Want a great roti for a great price? This is a great place downtown! I would recommend this place to anyone.
Delicious variety of roti. I've never had pakora before and it's in a roti! It's scrumptious. The flavours are just a party in your mouth.

I've been meaning to try here for a long time as I moved into the neighborhood some time ago. I was blown away. I had their lamb vindaloo roti "very spicy", I am blown away with how good it is. I'm writing this review mid meal as I couldn't wait to get he word out on this place. This would be the kind of food I'd want for my last meal. Out of 5 I'd rate this 6 if they would let me.

Let me start with this...... The food here great!! Don't go with the ambience.
This place is meant for takeaway.! But serves some awesome food.
The wrap concept works great.!
Remember to order for mildest.
We ordered with medium ended with fumes from all sides!!😀😀
Waiting to head over again

Sometimes, the restaurant-finder app on my phone can help me stumble upon little gems I never even knew existed … which is exactly what happened when a friend and I found ourselves in the Annex looking for some quick takeaway, and discovered Roti Cuisine of India.

The giant sign outside is unmissable. You half-expect to walk into a large, flashy restaurant, but instead a find a smaller space with dated decor and furniture, and a busy, busy kitchen in the back. However, from the pile of plastic bags filled with takeaway meals waiting on a side table, it was evident this was a very a popular neighbourhood joint.

The menu is extensive and includes a great selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian roti options, along with appetizers and biryanis (rice plates). As hardcore carnivores, we were torn between the Chicken Vindaloo roti (simmered in spicy and tangy sauce) and the Lamb Curry roti (cooked in a special curry sauce). So we did what any two friends with a shared love for food would do – we got both.

Our order taker asked what spice level we would like. Confident in our estimation of our spice threshold, we replied “spicy” … only to be told that “the spicy is really, really spicy” and we may want to reconsider. Still, our cockiness prevailed and we got the lamb mild and the chicken spicy.

Word of advice: when a restaurant tells you to reconsider your spice level, you may want to heed their advice. The chicken – while wonderfully tasty – had me sweating buckets.

Despite being incredibly famished, we were only able to get through half of one pie, so it’s great to be able to share this with a friend. The lamb roti was just as delicious and made for great leftovers the next day. With a generous heap of chunky meat and soft potatoes, the rotis packed a serious punch and oozed with aromatic Indian flavours. I loved that the crepe-style bread (roti) was thin and easy to cut into, yet thankfully not messy despite the mixed stuffing (although I’m guessing the curry-based rotis would be a different story).

Roti Cuisine of India was a great discovery! And it’s location by the Dupont subway station makes it an easy go-to place for a quick roti run … something I anticipate I may be doing a lot of.

Arrived in Toronto for work for a week, found this place on Zomato. One of the best authentic indian restaurants I've been to in Canada.  The menu is mostly roti's but they are amazing, the spice level is actually spicy if that's what you ask for (they sometimes double check with you).  This will be a staple every time I come back to Toronto.

WOW. Just...wow. I've lived near here for so long and had NO IDEA that this gem existed! I love my "India Bazaar" food and butter chicken, but this place stands among those ranks in the Annex right beside a subway station.

The Roti was perfected in grill (even the Papadums were) and the insides were pipping hot. My friend ordered take out and even after 2-3 hours it's what you'd expect temperature wise from a fresh fresh food item. That's impressive.

Hot really is "Indian hot"....totally shocked us. Mango Lassi goes well with that. Just go and try, we were shocked.

Delicious Roti. Read the reviews and decided to try it, has now become my new favourite takeout place when I don't feel like cooking. Really, absolutely, delicious. And be aware: medium is quite spicy.

It's the food I miss most when I'm not in Toronto. This restaurant makes the most delightful roti. Try the baingan burtha. It will make you believe in God if you don't already.

Best Indian Roti in Toronto. Fresh, hot, delicious with generous portions that are reasonably priced. Great service and very clean.

Baingan Bhurta roti was amazing, with a beautiful caramelized onion flavour.

Medium spicing packs a good kick.

We'll definitely be back.

Delicious food. Great value for money!. A little "hole in the wall" kind of place. The food is wonderful and the service is good. No wine, only beer. Most people take out but there are a few tables to eat in.

Great restaurant. Tried this for the first time and was quite impressed. The portion was large and very fresh--had leftovers and it was as good the second day. I got take-out and mentioned it was my first time at the restaurant, without asking for it they snuck in a free dessert.

Will be going back

Super delicious curry in a hurry. DELISH Indian food and sincerely nice service. Food took five minutes. Tried the saag paneer and it was wonderful (and I've eaten a lot of saag paneer). Free dessert didn't hurt either :)

This Place Is Awesome. I think I've ordered from Roti Cuisine about a dozen times since they moved into the neighbourhood 8 months ago -- and I am never disappointed! I've even been in India in that period and thought the food at this great little place was even better. We had some India friends over recently for dinner and brought in some takeout from Roti Cuisine -- and it got the big thumbs up. Love the butter chicken, saag paaneer, shahi shrimp roti, aloo gobi appetizer ... The price is great and the brothers who run the place couldn't be more lovely.

Amazing!. I live about a 45 minute walk from DuPont and and Spadina, but I went based on the recommendations on urbanspoon. It was WELL worth the walk. I tried the mixed vegetable korma roti (medium spiced) and it was plenty spicy and very flavourful. The inside decor is nothing special, but the food sure is! I recommend it to any Indian food lover!

Finally a keeper restaurant to fill that spot!. I live around dupont and spadina. the spot where Roti Cuisine of India is located has been occupied by successive dumpy ethnic restaurants. when Roti Cuisine opened, i thought it would follow suit.

however, it has been a pleasant surprise. i love indian food and have an open palate, but have personally not been impressed very much by anything but the butter chicken (medium).

serving size make these rotis a meal-and-a-half. dine-in is perfectly pleasant (it is licensed btw), but take-out would be my recommendation. servers are courteous and professional (a lost art it seems).

last time i stopped by there were two elderly women enjoying their rotis so much they could not stop talking about it! it was very sweet, and goes to show the food is not mega-overspiced, like Ghandi... although the medium still packs a good spice punch!

Love it. I live nearby and it's now become a once-a-week visit...the rotis are great and the owners are friendly. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating in, as there is literally no decor - it's ALL about the food here, no mess no fuss with anything but. I'm a big fan of the channa, veggie korma, and saag aloo rotis. I've never had a bad experience. GO here and keep this place alive!

Great. The service was really fantastic. 10 minute wait from walking in to leaving with our food. I had butter chicken and my husband had Aloo Gobi. Both were delicious and very filling.

p.s. They gave us a dessert for free!

Go eat here. Seriously.. I walked by this place a dozen times before finally going in to give it a try, aaandd....

Holeeee-cow.

All I gotta say right now is 'go here'. Try it. Get some take-out, maybe some wine or some beers and grab a movie... Be prepared not to finish your roti first try- even though you will really want to try. It's so good right now I'm still full but I'm thinking about the next time...

I had the Saag Aloo roti- it was sensational. My partner had the Mixed Vegetable Korma- also amazing. They have a pretty long menu of rotis too, so you're bound to find a fave.

A-MAYE-ZING. Go here.

This shop does it right! The chicken tikka was great, I didn't find any half cooked potato's wich is very rare. Everythig was cooked just right. And for ten dollars you get enough food for two. Nuff said, hope you enjoy this place I shore did.

This small restaurant has been a surprise for me. It's just a good Indian place if you live around this area and don't want to move too far. There are not many tables and the menu keeps mostly roti, but again, this restaurant has nothing to envy to other fancier restaurants.
