A great and informal place to enjoy the myriad accompanying dishes of tasty and spicy Korean food that come with the mains - in this case the delicious Vegetarian BiBimBap (a dish of steamed rice, served with sautéed seasonal vegetables and with Tofu substituting for the standard Beef). Friendly service and no pain with the bill, A Good Place

I thought the food was very good. Had the bimibap with spicy squid. Lots of vegetables, well seasoned (the squid was maybe a tad overdone, but still good). Excellent value for the money. Decor is nothing special, but I'll take good food at a reasonable price over trendy decor any day.

We were exploring Koreatown and decided to get an early dinner,  this placed seemed like one of the more crowded one so we stopped here.  Its a relatively small restaurant, no decor/ambiance whatsoever - focus is clearly on maintaining low prices, which they are. They seemed to get their fair share of poor uni student business.

We ordered the pork & chives dumpling for the little one - they seemed homemade - wrap was a bit thick but filling was pretty good.  Next we had two soups, one was their specialty pork bone and the other was kimchi/beef/tofu.  Both soups were pretty solid, not the best broth in town but still tasted great.  We also ordered their fried chicken with sweet and spicy sauce, which tasted like ketchup and spices, avoid.  Total bill for all that was about 30$.

Will probably try a couple other Korean joints around before coming back here, but overall good experience.

How I stumble upon Yummy Korean restaurant was certainly unexpected. I planned to go to Guu Izakaya. Little did I know that they were only open later in the day on that specific day of the week. So, I let luck guide me and it led me to Korean town! I was impressed by the abundance of available Korean restaurants. It was very difficult to choose one. Yummy attracted me with its colorful dish pictures displayed on the window, and the motherly woman poster displayed just beside the door. I was hoping for a very cozy and homey meal! Choices on the menu were not limited. But I had my mind clear and I chose the pork bone stew. Before the main dishes were served, various side dishes were put on the table. This is what I search for in a Korean restaurant. For some odd reason, Montreal’s Korean restaurants are always so stingy with their side dishes. Although simple, the side dishes were very satisfying! And of course I had to order a seafood pancake, a tradition. The amount of seafood was abou
