One of the few 24 hour open Restaurants in down town Toronto which I enjoy going to. It's got a quiet dark vibe to it and is perfect for a nice relaxing late dinner. I always try the burgers here. The pulled pork and the bacon mushroom burgers are my favorites.
This is a most charming restaurant occupying three floors of the building. The staircases are narrow and steep making for a difficult but interesting ascension and descent especially when servers are toting food and plates. The food was very good. I had a pasta with vegetables and chicken. The ailioli sauce was a bit thin but very tasty. The place oozes charm and intimacy. The second floor is not prime real estate as it is hot there. The first and third floors are most comfortable. The food is reasonably priced; the house wines are excellent; a bit pricy at $12 for a 5 ounce glass. I liked it there and will return. It’s quiet and a conversation can take place without shouting at one’s companions; very different from he typical restaurant in the Bloor Street Area
We were staying in the area and happened to find 7 West online. We ended up visiting multiple times. We had the 7 West sampler which was delicious - it came with hummus, cheese, olives, tomatoes and pita bread. The other times we visited we had the cheesecake, a sandwich, and the soup, all of which were tasty. Love that it is also open 24/7 too.
It's quite difficult to spot this Cafe. So you need to be alert even while using your GPS else you would be running around in circles.
Ambience is dark. Their setup keeps getting cosier as you move up with each floor.
Music isn't too loud, so you can chit chat with your buddies.
My friends had been recommending me to try their pastas & on my first visit I tried their Penne chicken pasta. The serving size was humongous and I think it could have been shared amongst 2.
Pasta was fresh and so was the chicken. I had a good time in my first visit and this was definitely a place I wanted to visit again.
On my next visit, I tried their Chicken sandwich. I was a bit disappointed with it. The bread was not fresh. The chicken was not juicy. The accompanying fries were more like wedges. I liked them. But what stole the show was the dessert, Belgian dark chocolate cake. It was served along with vanilla ice-cream and I totally loved it.
After a mixed bag of experiences, I would still recommend the place. Will drop by again.
A cozy place that's almost hidden among the buildings. We stumbled upon this accidentally and it turned out to be pretty good. Has 3 floors of seating and every floor gives a different experience ! We also learnt that they are open 24*365 days!!! The price is on the higher end but the portions are good and the staffs are friendly.
The red velvet cake here is way too awesome and pizza is bae over here.
Ambience is okayish I would suggest the owner to work on the ambience and service as well
Just so good. Food was amazing, service was great, a bit hard to find because of construction but worth it. Amazing spot for dates, and bonus for open 24/7. A hidden gem!
The perfect solution to drunk dining? This hidden little gem is it! If you're not into hordes of young people this is the place to go! Though small the food is good and service is well service you would expect at all hours!
Intimate atmosphere - great place for a date. The food, drinks and coffee are decent. Not amazing but for the fact that this place is 24/7, it gets some bonus points.
Cozy little 24-hour place in the heart of downtown. While not a place for foodies to flock, they do serve a decent variety of items like soups, sandwiches, pasta dishes and desserts. I've visited 7 West several times over the years and have been satisfied on those late night outings or after-work coffee catch-ups.
Great ambience, good coffee, food is what you expect from a café. Service is prompt. Seating is a bit tight. Dessert is excellent, highly recommend the dulce de lece cheesecake. Good choice for a café after dinner.
I love this place! My favourite aspects are the ambiance and service, coupled with delicious food; it's amazing. The prices are excellent and I love that it's open 24/7/365
My place to go after a night out of drinking. My favourite on the menu is their penne chicken. The only drawback is how tight the place is but food makes up for it.
I was pretty hungry last night and ended up at 7 West after browsing the "Late Night Eats" collection on Zomato. The inside of this establishment had a great vibe. The staff were friendly and my food came quickly. I ordered the Prosciutto Panino ($15) which came topped with bocconcini, tomato, lettuce, and avocado spread. So good. So, so good. I definitely expected a minimal to moderate amount of meat, but they layered the prosciutto on thick and it made my night. The bocconcini was a nice touch and the avocado spread really finished 'er. The sandwich came with a side of plain chips which I added at times for a nice crunch. All in all, great experience.
Was around Yorkville getting snarled at by people for not wearing a suit in their presence so headed down bay and across a wee bit to 7 West for some late night munch.
I went for the chicken sandwich and was expecting some matter squeezed between 2 white pieces of foam but got an oven baked and crispy baguette filled quite liberally. Absolute find for anyone lost in the area, just keep your eyes peeled for the very discreet door.
Servers have a top sense of humour too! Will rate higher once i've been back for the pasta, then i can cast the final verdict! :D
This place has been an all time favourite of mine and a great go-to for any time of day. We're always welcomed by the super friendly staff and somehow it's always pretty busy inside, but the fact that it's three stories helps with that. You'll never really have to wait for a table and the service is quite quick. The food is also veeeeery good. They have a large selection of a bunch of different kinds of meals - from breakfast to dinner to drinks to desserts! Their home made cakes are also extraordinary!
One night my friend and I were searching for a place to eat. We went to several places and they were all closed, it was around 2AM I believe. We discovered 7West and it was like our prayers had been answered! We ordered sloppy joe, spicy arrabbiata, and for desert had cheesecake. The food was amazing, we loved everything and wanted to order a million servings.
We also really loved the atmosphere it was really cute and intimate.
Staff was really great and helpful as well!Pardis Parhizgar
Love everything about this place.
Went for a late night eat, ordered the Caesar Salad, Sloppy Joe and the Penne Arrabbiata. Everything was amazing, I still dream about the Sloppy Joe and plan to order it every time. For dessert we got the Dulce de Leche Cheesecake, which was also mouthwatering and a great way to end the meal.
The location itself is super cute and intimate and the dim area was perfect for a late night eat. Staff was friendly and I will definitely be back!
Hidden Gem!. 7 West is a quaint three-story cafe that is perfect if you just want to grab a drink and chat. I'll definitely be returning!
If someone wasn't specifically bringing me here, I would have just walked past it. So look out for the signage!
Really enjoyed. I had a penne arabiata which was really good, and actually spicy. The service was good. Overall great experience, nice romantic ambience. Would go back 100%
Very good Cafe/Petit bistro!. I've been there a couple of times and I'll be back :) Last weekend we went for take out food Greek salad and Moroccan chilli. Portions always good and service is fast. The salad was pretty good and the chilli decent. People very friendly et l'ambiance super. Voila!
Great cuz its open 24/7. Food is okay, I think its a little overpriced for the portions and the quality. And its too dark in there man turn on a freaking light.
Amazing place. Great service. Absolutely delicious food n cakes omg...
Great atmosphere and appealing menu. Thoroughly enjoyed lunch at 7 West Cafe. Great selection of sandwiches, and other menu items. Had the chicken club and it was delicious and flavourful, would recommend. If you're in the area, check it out for a reasonably priced meal and great hangout spot!
Best late night cafe. Their deserts are awesome - and good sandwiches. The ambiance is very cozy and the drinks are good. Can't think of a better place to go at 5am in the morning. :)
Loved it back in UT days...!
I don't come often, but for I enjoy it every time. Cozy and cute ambience. Good service. Great food. My favorite - grilled prochuitto sandwich.
Cozy and open 24 hours!. This is a cosy little restaurant which is 3 stories high. Dishes are simple, nothing too special, but great place to hang out with friends late night or a romantic "chill" date.

Cozy Place to Hang Out. The pasta's pretty good. I recommend the lunch deal, which includes the small salad.
The service however is sometimes just a bit slow.
Love 7 West. Cozy friendly atmosphere even at 3am, nice attentive staff, interesting decor and menu. Good for groups or couples, a short walk from Church St. Would recommend.
Friendly service. Comfortable atmosphere. Delicious food.
One of my favourite restaurants of all time! Amazing romantic atmosphere, friendly staff, and good priced and sized meals. The best part is that its open 24 hours! I recommend the nachos with avocado and hot peppers:)
Amazing dessert!. This place has the best coffee I've ever tasted. Brewed to perfection, not needing any sugar. I paired with with a red velvet cake which was phenomenal. A hefty portion of moist cake with velvety cream cheese icing, not too heavy nor too sweet.
They also have very yummy dinners, good portion sizes which aren't too pricey.
24h-great atmosphere, need I say more ?. I was never dissapointed with the 7 West Cafe. The atmosphere is always great, love the cozyness and the food is also pretty good for a 24/7 place. More of a UofT hangout than anything else though :)
Simple menu. Good quality food. Nice ambiance. Like this place a lot.
Great Place. Food is good, atmosphere is great. A nice retreat in the middle of it all. Nice place to hang and have a coffee and a desert.
Somewhere I can always rely on. Good food, not to mention nice drinks, and convenient! Never had a bad experience or waa ever dissapointed.
3.5/5 stars. The atmosphere is great! However, the food is average as well as the pricing. The staff are friendly and overall its a place you want to goto at least a few times in your life.
7 West Cafe is very easy to miss because the restaurant is SUPER small and the entrance looks like the door to a residential home. The special thing to this petite restaurant is the hours of operation: 24 hours, 7 days a week and during all holidays. But let’s talk about the experience. Decor The exterior like I said looks very ordinary, nothing stands out and customers could easily miss its entrance. Now once you enter the building, you are greeted by some FINE old-fashioned decorations. Tables are quite small and spacing is limited but the atmosphere is quiet with a tint of classiness. I really enjoyed my time here because all the diners were respectful and spoke quite softly or within their own space. Nobody was yelling or screaming and everyone seemed to have been absorbed in their own little meals. It’s an absolute treat for couples and small parties of 3-4. Service I read on urbanspoon that many people complained about the service but I also noticed that they were directed to o
After everything we went to 7 West to eat! I introduced Stephen to 7 West back in first year because it's a 24/7, 365 day diner - which serves good food. I have lost count of the number of times I've gone to 7 West after a show and just indulged on food. I ordered the Grilled Cheese Sandwich and he ordered the All The Time Breakfast.
Love this place for a late night food/coffee joint! Great location and the late night hours makes it perfect for a night owl like myself. Definitely recommend the pasta dishes!
7 West will be the last-resort place I will take all of my dates (I could have used another word). It has the loveliest ambience. Upon my mate's simple suggestion of a place to go to after I requested to go to a place that is quiet and dark, he was quick to respond, 7 West Cafe. Made up of three levels, the third being apparently the coziest, we had to settle for the second since, to our misfortune, the third was under construction. We were seated in a perfect spot anyway, cornered off with mellow music and dim lights. The biggest beauty of it all, is that it's open 24/7.
I'm a bit over my head to say, but this evening onwards is what changed my entire mindset, I have a slight attachment to this place.
1. Muskoka Brewery Mad Tom IPA 6.4%
The scent of hop is what always wins me over, but the taste isn't as strong as the scent. I would have liked it to taste much darker - but, it went perfect with the night nonetheless.
2. Mac n Cheese with Chicken
Aged cheddar & parmesan with elbow noodles. This was p e r f e c t. It was incredible! I can go on eating it forever, it was a large amount too. The cheesiness was incredible generous and the chicken was perfectly cooked and matched so well with it.This place is beautiful, and the server was sweet and held nice brief chats.
The portions are great and the service is quick. I would most definitely come here again during the day for a slice of cake and to have a proper observation of the decor.

Service
I read on Urbanspoon that many people complained about the service but I also noticed that they were directed to one particular male server. We were served by two different young ladies who gave us no problems at all. They kept on checking on us to see if our food was good and honestly did a great job. Nothing out of the world, but I have no complaints.FoodThe food was decent but nothing to boast about. Portions were huge and neither of us could finish everything off our plates.
To begin with I went for the safe route and ordered the regular brunch meal: eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausages. Now what I find interesting is that the sausages were half its original size (or maybe they were made that way) but they tasted great so I guess quality > quantity. I didn’t like the toast at all, they felt super dry and I could barely digest the crumbs. The meal as a whole was average. For $10.95 (I think), it was a bit overpriced but definitely wouldn’t be labelled as “bad”. I didn’t taste my friend’s pizza but she said they were great so lah lah lah.
I really enjoyed where we were sitting and the atmosphere overall. It’s not like the food was a big disappointment so I don’t think I would take too many marks off of the whole experience. The only negative thing to write about is the time it took to prepare the meals. We waited quite a bit but this is an issue for all the costumers. I’d definitely come back for dinner and see if things would be changed at that time. Although the restaurant is nothing out of the ordinary I’d definitely find it a great place to chill if I’m killing time or want to catch up with a long-time friend.
