Before we attended an event in The Beaches, we had lunch at the original Sunset Grill. This is a very narrow restaurant, but also very long, and it stretches quite far back, providing seating for well over 50. There was a short lineup when we arrived, and the restaurant was continuously busy throughout our lunch.
SWBMO stuck with on of her standards, the Tuna Salad Sandwich. They didn’t skimp on the tuna, and the fries were well done.
I had the M.O.G. Omelette (mushrooms, onion, green pepper). Lots of egg, lots of filling, satisfying lunch.
Service did seem a bit slow, but they were busy.
This Sunset Grill is the original outlet on Queen and Kew Gardens with airy comfortable seating offering their great breakfast menu including the pictured 3-Egg special by efficient staff that have been here awhile.
Our first ever Canadian breakfast was had here. The french toast was incredible fluffy and the bacon was perfectly crispy. Would highly recommend going here for breakfast. Come hungry as the portions are big! Our server was very upbeat and friendly also.
I love this breakfast place. I adore the hospitality and warmth when I am introduced to a staff. I love the pancakes. They're big and really delicious. They have a great selection for veggies and healthy picks. Most of all I like that it isn't expensive, as it shouldn't be for breakfast. If you are near the beaches and want some food from your fasting, come down to this spot for great breakfast or brunch.
So fun. Great experience. Employees are the nicest ever. Must have: Eggs Benedict.
Quick, friendly service. Food comes in a timely manner and prices are fair. Typically get spinach and feta omelette or basic breakfast. Always a return customer!
Best morning breakfasts ever. I always get the Belgium waffles because they come in the shape of a tub, you can pour all the maple syrup and the waffle will contain and absorb it all! I can't wait to be back in Toronto so I can eat here again. It's me and my mom's favourite place to eat for fast classic American breakfasts.
The much bigger branch breakfast places always seem to disappoint so when I stumbled upon Sunset Grill I was impressed with the prices for the portion of food you get. 4 pieces of toasts, 2 eggs, 2 sausages, and some hash browns for under 12 bucks, hell yah!! Sure the taste isn't anything exquisite or out of this world but that's what I loved about this place - it tastes like [middle-class] home. It's nice to wake up to familiar food every now and then!
I have been here dozens of times over the past 25 years and have never had a bad experience. Its very busy which is sometimes a but much but its busy for a reason - they serve a great breakfast. A bit of a nuisance they only accept cash.
Perfect. I've been here a million times. Service is usually incredible, portions are huge (and fresh) and price is reasonable (hence the lineups every weekend).
This was a great Sunday morning breakfest spot with the family. Large plates of fresh made breakfest was the perfect kick start to cure the previous nights activities. Tight yet comfortable quarters were overlooked by the friendly service. One thumb up by brown toast reviews
Great Brunch Spot. Love to come here for brunch. Food is good quality and price is right. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get a table (weekends).. however it is worth it.
Excellent brunch!. Very reasonably priced, reliable food. I love the frittatas and the waffles are a real hit with kids.
Kid friendly, polite, good portions, perfect brunch spot! Will come again soon.
Great diner, great food, great atmosphere - especially on the weekend.
Haven't been in a wile but it's a close second to the one on Danforth and Coxwell!
