I haven't been here in quite some time, but it used to be one of my fav Indian restaurants to go to, and I'm glad I gave it another try! With the current 'situation' going on, more restaurants are offering take out and delivery options, and I love the idea of supporting local businesses.
The delivery menu through Uber Eats is quite extensive and impressive! I was worried about the delivery of curries and 'wet' dishes as my experience in the past hasn't been great given spillage issues and a mess when it arrives, but I was pleasantly surprised!! Everything was properly sealed in leak-proof containers, even the chutneys and sauces on the side. They were kind enough to leave the delivery at the door and messaged upon their arrival.
I ordered the Tandoori Platter which was a very large portion of tandoori chicken, sheesh kebab, chicken tikka, and tandoori vegetables (mainly roasted peppers, and onions). The only thing 'missing' and preventing me from a 5 star rating was that it differed a bit from the description; there was no chicken ginger kebab and the cauliflower wasn't cooked. Overall, very flavourful though! It also came with cilantro chutney and a mango chutney on the side, both of which were delicious!
I also ordered the Baingan (eggplant) dish which was roasted Indian eggplant in a tomato/onion based curry. Again, very flavourful! I was also impressed that it came with a large dish of cilantro-flavoured rice and crispy papadums! They also provided extra chutney, mango pickle and sauce on the side.
This was a much larger portion of food than expected, and overall a great dining experience! It's hard to find 'authentic' Indian food in Toronto, and this is why I enjoyed the original Dhaba so much. I'm glad to see that you've continued to live up to your reputation and maintain your excellent standards!!
My thoughts are with you during this difficult time!
The Dhaba Masala martini was amazing...It's so good I can have multiple! Service here has always been amazing and excellent! It's always busy but you never have to wait long for anything...The food looked amazing though.. Best Indian restaurant ever. According to me, it is a food legacy of India
Amazing Experience!!! Delicious Food 🥘😋😋...It’s a great place to celebrate 🎉 a milestone...Love the ambience of the restaurant...This restaurant is spacious and has nice decor. Fantastic food quality and available lots of variety of food especially Lamb Vindaloo is an amazing Dish🥘😋😋. Overall great experience and great location.
Amazing food, amazing desserts, great prices, music and ambience. A must visit if you're looking for some east indian cuisine in the area.! Love!
Great Indian food I ever had away from my country and especially in Toronto ever-since I have been coming here for number of times and eating at various places. I feel its one of the best here. Great yummy food, service and ambiance of-course. Indian beer yes.
Have been to almost ALL Indian buffet restaurants in Toronto Downtown, the food here is The Best. Excellent taste and lots of options for vegetarians as well. Chicken tandoori was too good.
Except for the starters, every item both veg & nonveg are good in taste and quantity. The quantity of starters is really minimal, just not enough worth money and tummy.
Very very good food and great service. It was just 2 people were managing the place, and maybe a couple in the kitchen, and it was full, but the service was as good as if 10 people were managing it. The service was commendable. The food was very good. Check in here if you're in Downtown Toronto and missing Indian food back home in India.
Best Indian restaurant in Toronto!
Cozy Ambiance! Yumie Food! Great Service!
They even have nice collection of drinks too!
The best part is, they maintained the spices really good!
It is my first visit to this place, very good hospitality and my friend and me visited ,we ordered Tangdi kabab very tasty , juicy well marinated superb taste , quantity good . Thought we can’t finish it, but we finished it.. and butter chicken and Tandoori rotis 100% wheat superb.. and finally chicken biryani with Curd raitha excellent.. they gave complimentary mango shot , overall bill 70 dollars for great food .. we could finish everything... would like to visit again.. thank you ...
Thank you Team Dhaba for excellent Indian food. Butter Chicken, Balti Chicken, Garlic Naan and Saffron Basmati Rice were excellent. I was seated immediately and attended by service guy with cheerful smile. Enchanting ambiance and music . Great choice of wines. Very clean and modern washroom/toilet. I had a great service with best Indian food in Downtown Toronto. I recommend everyone to have a visit to this place. - Anupam
There has been several times that I am around downtown and it's late night and is having a hankering for some good Indian food, this restaurant comes to mind first as it is open like till 2:30 in the morning and the food is good too.
I have tried many dishes over there although I have not been for the buffet in the afternoon. The most commonly items that gets ordered will be Butter Chicken, Dal Makhni and Butter Roti(Not a big fan of Naan). As far as the Butter Chicken is concerned, it tastes mostly the same as many places that I have eaten. The Dal Makhni is something I prefer a lot as it is just perfect, the creamy texture to the eyes, you can easily feel it in your mouth and it goes perfectly with the Butter Roti.
The problem we can say will be the size of the Butter Roti. It is bit expensive restaurant for regular visits as compared with the quantity and $4.00/Roti feels a bit steep for the size. I have seen triple size naans with the same price. There is a 15% surcharge as well when u go after 11:00pm. It feels like paying some kind of cover charge to get into club or bar.

I just saw Dhaba written very nicely with quite attraction in name. I went in with my 6 friends. We had a very warm welcome by a host and very nicely they took us to our table. Soon we had our food and it was worth what we ordered. The servers even gave us a few complimentary items which was very nice of them. Over all, we had a great service with best Indian food in Downtown Toronto. I recommend everyone to have a visit to this place at least once and you will appreciate my review.
Thank you Dhaba team.
Keep Rocking!!!!
I've only ever ordered delivery from Dhaba but it's always my go-to as it never disappoints. The delivery is fast and they always give generous portions.
For a great meal:
Order the butter chicken with garlic Naan and rice. Order double because you're thinking you want to share with a friend but really, you don't.
I came here with a bunch of other coworkers for a person leaving the department. We arrived around 11:20am and sat down for a table of ten. It is nicely situated across from the Tiff Lighthouse on King st. The decor is modern with excellent service. They always offer the mango lassi when you are first seated. On a hot summer day, it is hard to pass up. Their AC and fresh servings of cold water made this lunch much more enjoyable. Their lunch buffet is around $13 per person. They have a large variety of salads, rice, naan, curries, butter chicken, yogurts, and dessert. For my first round, I tried their shrimp salad, butter chicken, cucumber salad, olives, fried fish and roasted pork. Each item is very fresh and has a distinguished taste. In my second round I tried the Seafood Biryani, Curry Goat, Curry Chicken, and Tandoori Chicken. Both curries were very delicious with its own unique taste. I rounded it out with a bowl of mango, mint, and maple walnut ice cream. I may of had a bowl of cantaloupe as well.
Amazing All You Can Eat - You don't expect such a great selection of fresh salads, that would include shrimps and some spicy fish.  Just awesome coming form an Indian resto. Went to try dinner since we recently moved to the area, and what the heck  - the place looks hip with some light Jazz playing at the back. Where am I ? My better half is a big fan of spices and flavors.Â
She told me check out the brunch, as our smiling waiter invited us to try some made to order crepes and omelettes. Is he kidding how can you fit in all these in one place lol - We are waiting to go back soon, when my sister and her boyfriend come to visit us at our new place on John/Adelaide.
So far the lunch and dinner has been awesome, so 5 out of 5. Â Keep up the good work guys!

Quite good food, not so good service.
Fantastic service. Fantastic food. Indian food enthusiast just visiting Toronto, but I'll be back. Absolutely superb!
Food was amazing. Butter chicken and Vension Moghul were very tasty. Great find for just walking around looking for a place to eat. Will definitely come back.
Really good vegetarian do she and amazing naan
My favourite indian spot!. Excellent food, friendly staff, and an overall fab experience. What more can one ask for? Try the Butter Chicken and Rack of Lamb, you won't regret it! :)
My husband and I fell in love with this place ! Food is very elegant and tasty . The ambience is very romantic as well ! You won't regret coming here !
Very tasty. We went there on a Saturday afternoon around 1 PM for the lunch buffet. It wasn't very busy. We were greeted and immediately sat at a table. The server asked if we were here for the buffet and welcomed us to help ourselves right away. Food was delicious - lots of flavour and spice but not too hot. There was a large selection of cold salads, hot entrées, a crêpe and omelette station, several dessert selections and six choices of ice cream for $13. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean. Our water glasses were refilled multiple times. We had our bill presented promptly when we had finished eating and taken care of and a parting farewell goodbye was said. We will definitely be back again.
Great Indian Place... if you're looking for spicy nom nom. Great food downtown if you're into some really good Indian Cuisine. The price was moderate, portions are not as big, but the atmosphere and the location downtown makes for a great place to socialize with your friends. The service was good, we were treated very well, and we always have a great time after dinner! The dessert was heavenly! I really enjoyed it, and would go back again!
Tasty. On two of three of my visits to Toronto, I make it a point to eat at Dhaba. The food is really tasty, the servers are friendly and treat us well. It's one of the better Indian restaurants in Toronto.
Great service. Not greasy food at all unlike other Indian restaurant. Excellent dishes!!! Try chicken biryani, you will love it!!
Surprisingly Good. The last time I was at Dhaba was about 3 years ago and I only remember it being "ok." This visit exceeded my expectations. We were a party of 10 and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
We went on a hot summer day so I think a lot of people are enjoying the patios today - the place was pretty empty by 1:30. I found that my second trip up to the buffet was disappointing as they were no longer were replenishing it. I really enjoyed the butter chicken - not as sickie sweet as I've had in other places. I also enjoyed the fish.
The waitstaff wasn't particularly attentive. I think they didn't like that we had a $1.00 off coupon (for everyone) - expired but still accessible from their website and printed off today. Plus we all only had water to drink. I believe the buffet total was $12.38 with tax. They didn't put a large table tip surcharge that you so often find in restaurants these days - another point in their favour.
Over all a bit of a mixed review. The food was good, just wish there was more of it.
Very Pukka and Upscale Place - Thank you!!. Hi, I am not sure what this - white folks knowing their Indian food - is about about. I am a white guy and a frequent flyer to Europe and other continents. BTW, My Grandfather was born in India, and my family knows the Indian culture and food from the roots. We even made it a point to celebrate X-mas with Indian food fare only! We went to this place on King street twice in 6 months, and every time we went, It was just right and just FABULOUS for us as a family. We had 3 course meal and then added some mango dessert with pistachio berries, and boy O' boy - it was such a Pukka job done that my brother- in-law tipped 20 dollars to the naan bread maker! Keep it up guys, we would return to wipe the kitchen off - yum yum, drooling now!!
Great vegatarian selection on the buffet. Good ambience and service. Intend to try a la carte at some time
Not only were all of the dishes delicious, but 95% of the menu items were gluten free. In addition, the staff was very knowledgeable about gluten,
