The $5 menu is the best thing ever. The quantity is great. Though I am a vegetarian and a non alcoholic person, I visit this place again and again just to eat the pasta, nachos and 5 cheese dip with bread ! Ambience is amazing and staff is really friendly. This place has got everything! 5 stars to it ! ❤
The food is always a plus for me here whenever I go. Me and my best friend love coming here for the eats, the music and the chill atmosphere. The only thing I have a problem with are the portion sizes but other than that I love it. So far my favourite menu item was the barbeque chicken pizza. It’s quite small but it’s packed with flavour. I’m talking about a mixture of savoury and sweet with a slightly spicy punch at the end. It was like an explosion of flavour dancing in my mouth. I always love coming here and it will be our favourite spot!
The menu boasts their food is $5.95ea all day, everyday....but, is it worth it? My group of 4 hungry people wrongfully assumed that due to the small price, the portions would also be small. SO VERY WRONG. . Pictured here is the Warehouse Poutine, Beet & Goat Cheese Salad, West Coast Fish Tacos, Warehouse Crispy Mac N Cheese and Crispy Chicken Caesar Wrap. I swear I’m not messing with you; each plate was only $5.95. Clearly, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs!
Unexpectedly went to this place as Pai was closed . Happy we choose this plce . $6 all food , quantity was ok but great but still enough .
Sundried penne , chiang bowl and veggie burger all were really good
pretty decent for the price. still adds up but atmosphere is cool. as you can tell the food did not go to waste lol.single serve nachos, burger and caesar salad with onion rings. and some drinks was about $40 so well worth it I'd say.
Where have you been all my life? I've been in Toronto for a long time and just found out about this gem now.
Not only is the food cheap but it's tasty! I ended up getting 2 meals because it was so cheap. (Don't judge me). Everything meal on the menu is $4.95
They do have small upgrades here and there but in the end it will still cost you less than $10 a meal. I mean where else can you get food that cheap and good in down town Toronto?????
My new favorite restaurant!!!!
Food is pretty solid for $5! I've never personally had a bad experience in the handful of times I've been there both in the afternoon and at night, the servers were always super nice and enthusiastic. Only cons of my visits were the wait times to get in, getting our food, and getting the bill. Would def recommend the mac and cheese, the works + smokey bbq burgers!
Awesome and busy place. Bar staff were really welcoming and I got a free shot. Nachos we're decent and even got some advice off the locals. Will probably become my drinking bar!
It has cheap food and drink options but there is always a wait to get in. The food is pretty okay. I ordered the veggie burger which came with fries. The fries were cold. I had beer with the food. The music is pretty loud but it has a fun atmosphere. All in all, if you are low on budget you could go here!
Great price great food ,I ordered bacon cheese burger and it was very delicious served with fries I loved it and recommended to anyone enjoy
dre @queen_warehouse: I always see a line-up outside this restaurant on Queen St. I realized that it's because their food is all $5! Well, there's a catch. The burgers are $5. The wings (pictured) are $5. My friend got a quinoa salad for $5, but he added chicken for $2.95. While most things are $5, you can also upgrade certain vegetarian options with meat for an additional cost. In fact, they tried to upset us veggies on the side of the wings for $1. I saved myself that $1.
Delicious and so cheap! I love this place, have a nice location and the servers are really sweet. I think is the best salad I have tasted in Toronto

Warehouse - Downtown Toronto - 232 Queen Street West
Welcome to the first We Hungry eating and review episode at Warehouse, in downtown Toronto!
Initially, I knew of the place and had heard a lot of good about it, as you do! And then I would always walk by Warehouse when venturing down Queen Street West and always saw the 'everything $4.95 on the menu' sign. Then I started to think....this is definitely a place to try out, because my broke ass can't afford to eat out, so why not try something that is apparently cheap!
So I made my way in for a lunch seating, it was cold out and waiting in the line wasn't the funnest...Yes other people like myself were lining up because they know of the $4.95 menu!
But once you do get in, its such a good vibe straight up, the music is playing, the bar scene is in full tact and now you really wanna get your food game on to see if its worth all the hype!
I had a brief look through the menu and saw 'Burger' and so I was down for that! Getting myself the 'Works Burger', which had everything going, maple bacon, onion strings, meat patty, lettuce, tomato on a bun....oh yeah sounding good! Then there was nothing else to it...and because WE HUNGRY! I had to get myself a side of poutine....which inevitably made the price of my no longer $4.95....stupid me.
Anyways we waited not too long and were treated with our meal, the burger tasted not bad, however the poutine looked like they had just thrown it all together and put it in a bowl....but oh well i don't care what it looks like as long as its good!
After devouring that meal, we were still hungry.....but I thought to myself, ill hold back and let the food do its work and fill my stomach (which it kind of never really did) but anyways, it tasted great!
I had a great experience at Warehouse and definitely would recommend anyone to go their when in Toronto, however be ready for the not so $4.95 meal that they say they are....with my poutine my meal went to about $8....then adding the tax and of course the tip....I ended up on $11.
Now i know i might be sounding like a tight ass, but I'm sure there are thousands of students in Toronto that want a cheap feed (because we all broke af), so the looks can be a bit deceiving, but still for downtown its extremely affordable thats for sure!
We Hungry Review
Food 3.5
Atmosphere 4.5
Service 3.5
Price 5
Overall 16.5/20
This place is exciting and happening. The queue to get in is extremely long always considering how cheap the food is but once you're in the atmosphere and the service and everything else makes it worthwhile. Would recommend if you're on a budget and don't mind waiting in the cold/heat to get in.
I reallllllly enjoyed my Mushroom Swiss Burger! It had premium Alberta beef, sautéed mushrooms, gravy, swiss cheese, macho sauce (what is macho sauce? Haha), shredded lettuce, and tomato on a toasted brioche bun.
Presentation looked great with a great big knife stabbed into the middle of the bun and the bowl of French onion soup next to it on the plate.
The toasted brioche bun was so shiny and soft and the premium Alberta beef was wedged between the two fluffy buns.
The atmosphere is always really fun and busy. The food and drinks are pretty good, made even better because they're so cheap. The mac and cheese is the best
Casual bar that is inviting and great place for grabbing dinner with friends. The service could have been better, nonetheless had a pleasant experience. There is good food at a good price! Had baked mac and cheese, chicken wings, and Baja fish tacos (must try these).
Food is fine; flavourful and cheap so it definitely does the trick. It's not going to knock your socks off otherwise. Beers are at most 16 oz and cocktails taste pretty light on the booze. Service is brisk, but efficient.
Had a great meal here. Their burgers and salads are excellent. And the portions are really good, especially given the $5 price tag. Their fried donuts with caramel were especially good. The place is a bit loud but we liked listening to 90s music and watching old music videos on their tvs!
I've always wanted to try this place and boy am I glad I did. There was a small wait of 10 minutes or so after work on a Monday evening. This place is usually pretty busy with short lineups. Everything on the food menu is $4.95 and they have amazingly generous portion sizes. I ordered the Mac N Cheese, The Works Burger and the Mini Donuts for dessert. I loved all the dishes and really great portion sizes. I simply love the Mac N Cheese, it was delicious with the bacon bites. The burger felt like your nice homey style burger which I simply loved. I also tried my friend's Quinoa Apple Salad and loved it. Great portion size for a salad at $5 and the dish was made with such a nice presentation. It tastes as good as it looks! Friendly staff, great young atmosphere, great food and cheap prices. Will definitely recommend to others and be a frequent customer here.
I love the Queen St Warehouse for the simple fact that the food is so cheap and good. The place itself is meant as a perfect hangout spot to get drinks with your buddies. The environment feels like a dive bar but the eclectic mix of people, cheap food, drinks, and music videos makes for the perfect get together.
I came with some friends and tried out some of their food offerings (all of which is $5). The chicken wings were surprisingly large as it looked like close to a pound of wings. They were crisp and not overly saucy which was nice. Not the largest wings, but definitely worth the price. The turkey sandwich was incredible. It's a double decker Thanksgiving meal between slices of bread. They had stuffing, cranberry sauce, and thick cut slices of turkey on rye. It also comes with fries! The quesadillas were messy and dirty, while the drinks were odd, but creative.
The place is seemingly packed at all times. I haven't seen it without a lineup, which is a good sign. They have a nice bar inside but there are primarily tables and its meant for small groups. The service is super friendly and the atmosphere is pretty kick ass. Worth coming to for repeat visits.
Eating here right now ! Service excellant...love the music and crowd of great people...great meal...diffently return customer !! Got the deep fried mini donuts with caramel....a fav☺
I had a late lunch at the Queen Street Warehouse today.
It's been open for about a year and there's always a line-up outside.
All the food on the menu is $4.95 and there's a lot to choose from ... burgers/fries, wings, salads, tacos, mac 'n cheese, etc. I ordered the works burger and fries, minus the cheddar, onions and lettuce. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much for $4.95 ... but I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it was really good! The burger has some nice spices and was juicy and tender. I was expecting a slider but it was a normal size burger. The fries were good too. It'd get it again.
Lana was my server. She was friendly and despite it being so busy, she took good care of me.
This place has started becoming popular. There's usually a line up Wed - Fri after work.
What gives? $4.95 food menu is what gives!
This place offers pretty decent food all for $4.95.
I shared with a friend the Hard Shell Taco (3 pcs) as well. This was just ok. I actually prefer Taco Bell better.
I had the Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings and it was a big plate (1lb), juicy and tender. It reminded me of Earl's Wings which is pretty pricey.
In a hot day that we went, it was disappointing that there was no AC. I was sweating inside!
Service was good. Our server was attentive and food came pretty fast.
When everything on the menu is $5, it's hard to decide what to order! The portions are still regular size even at the inexpensive cost and there's always add ons if you want a bit extra. I came here for lunch on a weekday so the place wasn't too packed and the service was great. Will be back once it's warmer out for drinks on the patio!
C and I decided to visit the place for dinner and there was already a line-up at the door around 5:30PM, hence I would recommend to hit this place up at off times if you aren’t willing to stand in line for dinner. Also, the restaurant itself was very dark and loud to the point it was almost like a nightclub lol. If you plan to have a conversion here, good luck. The music volume level will just mask your voice and expect to yell or repeat yourself throughout the night.
This place was pretty cool. It is in a great location.
With everything on the menu being about $5 the place is bound to get busy. My friends and I waited around 45 minutes for our food. The music is really loud but you can still converse.
The poutine there is really good and for $5 the chicken wings are tasty.
The meal sizes there are filling so don't go crazy! I will try a burger there next time.
All my friends really liked the place. The paid around $20 each and they ordered a drink and one entree.
This place is good to go to at least once.
Like everyone else has said you can't go wrong here. Every food item is 4.95. Apps. Salads. Sandwiches. Pastas. All the food is good. Not great. We started with wings. 8 wings for 5 is a deal. They were not overly crispy. We got the tacos. Again for the price you can't go wrong, but t's not great. The turkey sandwich also is very good as they say the turkey is roasted in house versus store bought. So why not 5 stars?Well don't get the add ons. We got carrots and celery for a buck. It was 2 quarter pieces of each. Not worth it. We upgraded to onion rings for a dollar more and got four rings. Also the drinks are pricy for one ounce. Not horrible for Toronto but not great. Also the service is slow as they have a small kitchen so be warned you will be waiting. But then again for cheaper than McDonald's can you really complain? For the price this place deserves the crowds.
Went in to try the infamously cheap plates of food. Didn't disappoint! I went for the potato skins and then the chicken fingers (I know, a bit 8th grader but I just was in the mood for starchy goodness).
It was all really good quality. Tasted great and i'll come back to give it a better try soon.
I came across this place yesterday. I sat at the bar and had a large PBR (625ml). As you must know by now, the menu boasts a variety of dishes for $4.95. I wasn't that hungry, so I ordered the Chorizo-Queso dip with chips and baked bread. I was impressed. It was good. I am definitely bringing an appetite next time! *Returned 8/2/15 - had the mac and cheese and mushroom swiss burger with onion rings - delicious.
Prices for food cannot be beaten. C'mon where can you eat a decent meal for only $4.99 these days. And I'm talking about a freshly prepared dine in meal. Menu has some tasty choices. Environment is hip and laid back with the latest hits from a variety of different music genres for all to enjoy. Almost sounds too good to be true. Only con is that you have to be prepared to wait in line. Do not come if you're starving - the wait will kill you!
The Warehouse always has a line-up to get a table but it is worth the wait. Great value for money at $4.95 for the food menu and the Warehouse Caesar is definitely recommended. I can also vouch for the Works burger which I get every time I hit the spot. Their patio is great for brunch over the weekend.
This place gets packed and I can see why. $5 menu items that are delicious and offer good portion sizes, sounds good to me. I tried the Union Station Noodle salad and loved the fresh flavours and cold noodles with nuts, avocado, cucumbers and more. Also tried the fried apple pie, also very good and drinks are decently priced as well. I had a warehouse Caesar and my friends tried the hot cheese dip and the chicken fingers...they all cleaned their plates so they def enjoyed it. Love that the tv's play music videos so there's always something to watch and talk about with friends.
There is something special about the furniture restaurants, and it's definitely the incredible food you get for $5. I've had the poutine, potato skins, and the warehouse burger and I've never been disappointed. All have been delicious and full of taste, which surprised me when my bill only came to $11 with my whiskey ginger, which was made perfectly.
The service is always hit or miss but the place is always so packed, it's understandable. This place is a go-to for when everyone is hungry and we are on a spending ban!
I like this place for the offers that they have! The entire menu is $4.95 per item. They offer customers to pay 4.95 for a meal to a homeless person, which makes them one of the latest social cause organizations in Toronto.
Other than that, service quality varies a lot depending on which host/hostess you get for the night. Food quality was so so, sometimes good, sometimes not so much. Recently, one of my fellow diners got hair in her dish twice. The hostess was very nice and appeared apologetic to us. We got nothing to complain besides that.
If you decide to give this place a try (which I highly suggest you should) then definitely order the Warehouse ceasar!!!
This morning I had brunch at Queen Street Warehouse. It is the second restaurant in Toronto to be offering a menu where all food items are $4.95 all day everyday. Interestingly they sustain this through company sponsorships. A Redbull logo could be seen in the corner of the restaurant but I actually didn’t feel like I was being blatantly advertised to that much. The servers were all dressed like 80s rockers and the sign to the bathroom said “Free Air Guitar”. It was corny but worked for the type of establishment that catered to young university students on a budget.
I ordered the Fried Chicken Wafflewich (pictured above). The sandwich had buttermilk fried chicken, an apple coleslaw, bacon, mayo and a side of maple syrup which I happily drenched everything in. It was served with a side of “fries” which were really more like tater tots, but crunch and delicious. Everything in the wafflewich paired nicely together but I wish it was slightly bigger. Considering it was $4.95 I couldn’t really complain.
Nash ended up ordering two things because he was hungry and had a hunch that the portions would be smaller than normal. The first thing was a Baked Fritata with egg, roasted broccoli, carmelized onion, cheddar cheese, greens, pickled vegetables and green onion.
The second was The Chorizo Hash. He added extra hash for $1. It had a chipotle hollandaise, chorizo, onion, green pepper, scrambled eggs and more.
To drink I ordered the Warehouse Espresso which contained vodka, Toronto’s “Cut Coffee” beans, kahlua and cream. It was like an iced coffee with a zing in it.
I couldn’t resist getting dessert (since again it was $4.95) so I ordered the Fried Apple Pie which was served with a side of vanilla ice cream. The shape made me think of what it would look like if someone took a MacDonald’s Apple Pie and fried it. The filling was way better than a McDonald’s pie though, it was hot and fresh. The outside was crunchy with a thick breading. It was a bit messy to eat but worth getting my hands dirty.
All in all, we had a great meal at Warehouse for the price. If you’re looking for cheap eats in Toronto, this is definitely the place to go!
What we ended up with was the manager coming up to our table and after a few minutes of chitchat, she tells me there was actually a third option. The mini donuts they also serve wrapped in bacon. Now, when I heard the magic word bacon, I was probably beaming!
I've been hearing great things about El Furniture Warehouse and was glad to discover that a sister location opened up closer to home. With all items on the menu priced at $4.95, what does anyone have to lose? So we arrived right at 5pm on Friday hoping to beat the crowd.
The place was so packed, it seemed like we were walking into a bar during the height of the night. The music was pumping, the crowd (not surprisingly, the majority of patrons were low to mid twenties) was vibrant. Not the place if you're looking for quiet conversation cuz get ready, this place is loud but well suited.
Oh and the food. Forget about the price for a minute. The portions are decent and all the hype about the mac & cheese was true! I had the Kale Caesar Salad and Salt & Pepper chicken wings. I upgraded for another $0.99 to get ranch dressing, carrots and celery sticks. The salad was decent, lots of real crispy bacon chuncks, shredded kale, homemade croutons and dressing. The wings (10 of them!) were just the way I like them - crispy and dry rubbed.
But seriously, at $4.95 even if the food was sub-par, it's what one would expect at those prices. However because the food is actually made with quality ingredients, tastes great and the portions are generous, makes this a place that everyone should try at least once!
You won't be disappointed. Oh and the service was friendly and efficient to boot!
It just got bumped up on my list because of last week's food rave. We rocked up after a night at Spin for a friend's birthday, the boys lusting after their braised beef sub (almost everyone, except me, ordered it). There was a DJ playing the sickest hip hop and R&B beats, both old and new, with some other genres thrown in for good measure. People were eating, drinking and dancing to the music. I saw one guy, who gave me the worst swagger envy, dance with a chicken wing better than I've ever been able to with a glow stick. If you want to live out your Coyote Ugly dreams, it could happen here, there were girls dancing up on the bar. I don't know if it's the vibe or the cool salads and sandwiches, we always end up having a great time. The quinoa bowl is delish, if you like your meat, try their braised beef and if you are feeling naughty or having a cheat day, finish with the doughnuts.
I follow el furniture on instagram and thought i had to check it out. Once we arrived we waited inside for a bit to be seated and were told we had to wait outside and we would be called in, understandable and the wait was less than 10 minutes (went on a tuesday). Once we were seated, we waited a tad bit for our server and once she arrived placed drink orders, since long island ice teas were on special we ordered a couple (only $8.50!)
We decided to order the potato skins as a starter. They were good potato skins, nothing i'd rave about but for 4.95... whose complaining. For our meals i order the mushroom-swiss burger and my friend ordered the pulled chicken burger. We also ordered the mac n cheese. My mushroom-swiss burger was good, the egg bun was deliscious but you could tell the patty was a frozen patty, i prefer fresh but it was pretty good. My friends pulled pork burger was excellent though! Sauce was really good. The mac n cheese was not bad although we both agreed it was a little over seasoned. For dessert we had the mini donuts.... absolutley amazing, my friend was licking the plate they were so good! You MUST get them as a dessert when you finish up not too much but tasted so good.
Overall on food i would give el furniture a 3.5 but because of atmosphere i give it a 4. Our server and everyone who worked there was very nice and all seemed like they loved there jobs which i love seeing. The music was good as well as we were singing the whole time we were there! i dont think ive ever been so happy and having a good time at a restaurant but here! You absolutely must try this place if you are in the area as i will for sure be back here again to try some new things and more drinks!
What an outstanding concept: all food items are $4.95. And guess what?? EVERYTHING TASTES AMAZING and IS ACTUALLY A DECENT PORTION SIZE. Why can't more restaurants follow in the lead of Queen St Warehouse? I've been to too many restaurants that have inflated pricing for such small portions! That is my biggest pet peeve. I LOVE FOOD AND I EAT A LOT LIKE MOST PEOPLE SO PLEASE DONT CHEAP OUT ON PORTION SIZES. Queen St Warehouse understands this and dishes out Quantity AND Quality. Thank you for doing that. The Mac n' Cheese was superb and the Swiss Mushroom Burger -----> Absolutely incredible. I can confidently say it was one of the top 5 best burgers I've ever had. The beef and the bun are top quality.
