This place has a nice ambiance and a good spot for a date night. With that said, I accidentally came an hour early for my dinner and they still sat me which was great. (Pro-tip: make a reservation beforehand). The server was very courteous in making me feel ok while I was waiting for my friends to arrive. I will say that he was a bit overwhelmed and perhaps it was because we came on the day the new mandatory vaccination check came into place, but he forgot to check our vaccination status (which we were all fully vaxxed so it wasn’t an issue). Otherwise he was great. The menu wasn’t super extensive, which was a bit disappointing and the amount you get for the price you pay was also a bit disappointing. It was still decent, but not amazing.

This is my favourite local restaurant. Rosa always greets everyone with a smile. I'm not sure if she ever leaves the restaurant! The rest of the team there is amazing and friendly. The service is top notch. And the food is authentic, simple and delicious! Nothing fancy here, just amazing Italian food, made and served by wonderful people. Best red sauce in the city, in my opinion. And two great patios to boot (I prefer the one in the back). This is a regular for both dine in and take out. Love it.

I always love going to 7 Numbers Eglinton, to introduced friends to this seem like Italian homemade foods , Service nice and foods delicious 😋, love the romantic Atmosphere, calamari, Agnello Brasato ( Lamp shank ) soft juicy. Booked a reservation for dinner on their patio, and I cannot give enough credit to the staff at 7 Numbers Eglinton! The patio itself is quiet and comfortable, and definitely a go-to spot in the neighbourhood. Their selection of ingredients for their dishes is fresh and tasteful, and their menu and wine assortment gives plenty of variety depending when you go. Tom, Rosa and Paul were very delightful from the moment you walked in, and from offering stellar recommendations to incredible hospitality (along with plenty of laughs), you will be glad to have popped by this hidden gem. Highly recommend!

Beyond any doubt this is a gem of a restaurant. For sure, best cultural cooking experience in the neighborhood. Over many years, I’ve seen people come in for an authentic Italian meal and leave as friends with the chefs, the servers, the super friendly kitchen operations guy, and the chef owner. They’re as good as the food is! The outside patio has a lot of character too. Cheers.

First time here and definitely won’t be our last!! Amazing service, food was unreal and the patio was so cute & cozy. Both servers (Mr spills & the young lady who were there tonight on July 1st) were absolutely amazing and made our time here extra special. This will definitely be our new go to place on Eglinton. We can’t wait to come back!

We love 7 Numbers Eglinton which is just down the street from our home. It’s a funky fun place with excellent staff. It’s been very helpful through COVID that they have a back patio and a few tables right on Eglinton. We particularly love the lamb shank and the lasagna. Yum! If you haven’t been, go!

Fantastic atmosphere as soon as you walk in, friendly & knowledgable staff (Damien was exceptional), excellent food, wine, dessert for a great price! Would absolutely recommend to anyone seeking an intimate atmosphere and great meal. The key lime pie and flour free chocolate cake were out of this world!

My sister has been telling me about this place for years. Today I came to Toronto from Stratford to celebrate my birthday and we had the best dinner!! My fave was the burrata and the meatballs were incredible. Friendly staff and lovely festive atmosphere. Felt like we were in Europe!

Some of the best food I've ever had. I'm already craving more and I was just there last night. I foresee myself going here often. Already told some of my friends about this place. Will definitely be back

Just had dinner at Danforth, amazing service from Adam, food was delicious and huge portions. Definitely a must try! We will be back!

Loved it.....once I walked in the place it felt like home. Great food and I'll Def come back again.....oh ya a the Veal Lasagna is a must!!

The worst dining experience I have had in my life. Three non-Italian short order cooks likely sabotaged the dinner over poor wages and or working conditions. A real chef does not use salt in lasagna or chicken parmigiana. A real chef does not send out food reeking with salt. I have never complained about a restaurant online. When I asked one of the assistant managers to take the salt out of the kitchen, he shrugged and pointed to the night manager. He understood what was happening. 7 numbers does not belong on the Danforth. The staff seemed to be pissed off when not in the public eye.

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had! Bravo!

Mike and I have enjoyed the delicious food at 7 Numbers numerous times as we are fortunate to live in the neighbourhood. Tonight we finally got to attend the famous Cooking with Mama Rosa. While not exactly a cooking class, several of us got to help Mama Rosa prepare some of the dishes for the delicious family style meal in the tiny front kitchen. The staff was very welcoming especially Mama with her big heart and love of cooking! We had a fabulous time. Thank you!

Rustic, Comfy, Warm and welcoming. Food is great. service is great. My friends from Taiwan and myself enjoy the dinner.

We had booked tickets to diner and a show; were not sure what to expect on the diner part; WOW, what a surprise. Staff is amazing, friendly and great sense of humor; great drink recommendations but it was the food, FABULOUS and the atmosphere was even better. Cant wait to return.

Food and service was incredible. New favourite spot!

Food is delicious! Homemade!! Rosa the owner is in the kitchen and makes sure the food is so yummy!

HUGE thanks to the 7 Numbers crew for hosting our fundraiser tonight. Amazing staff and fantastic food. Truly an incredible spot. Can't thank you enough.

I love this joint! Proper Italian food done right. I wish they sold those oily dark peppers by the jar...

AWESOME food! Meatballs like I've never had, and the hubby never eats linguini but he ate it all and said it kicked ass! The milk chocolate tart was to die for. And honestly the service.... I have only once in my life tipped that well. We tipped both the people that helped us. Also not something we usually do. Very pleased and will go again. Eat here you won't be sorry. Oh an calamari was cooked perfectly didn't even need a dipping sauce it was so good.
Sue Nissen Herdman
Best eggplant parm I have ever had. yum!
Cooking With Alison
This is authentic, family style Italian food. The woman that runs the kitchen is from Italy and makes the tomato sauces from scratch starting with fresh tomatoes, Not canned tomatoes. We ordered the family meal.  I really did Love the tomato flavour of the tomato sauces. One of the two tomato-based pastas that we ordered was far too salty, though. I also Loved the fresh greens and vegetables that they used. Really really fresh and flavourful. The cheeses they used were very nice, too. The barely breaded calamari was cooked very nicely. The prices are very reasonable. My only complaint is that the entrees that we tried weren't great (the osso bucco in particular was disappointing and the lamb was nothing special), but keep in mind that the prices are very low.  So I really liked the appetizers, I loved the service, and the prices, and the tomato sauce was worth going back for, but I wouldn't say it was my favourite Italian restaurant.

Went to 7 Numbers with a group of friends last night. Great service, good not great food. To be fair I'm not big on Italian. We had the family style dinner with antipasto pasta and the. Individual mains. The veal meatballs were good but was disappointed with the sexy duck legs.

Great little neighborhood Italian restaurant.  Very authentic food that reminded us alot of our recent trip to Italy. The food is simple but very tasty. Everything is a-la-carte, meaning the meatballs is just meatballs, no pasta and side dishes.  <br/><br/>We got the calamary as starters, they were very good, light breading and soft texture, served with a couple slices of lemon.  Next came the meatballs with tomato sauce, again they were very light in the mouth but packed alot of flavor.  The sexy duck was crusted with rosemary, which I thought was going to be overwhelming, but it wasnt and the meat and skin was delicious. We got a side of simple tomato pasta (shells) and grilled zucchini. While the portions arent huge and prices are on the higher end, the food quality was totally worth it.<br/><br/>Atmosphee inside the restaurant is dark/candle lit romantic type. We actually chose to eat on their small terrace outside to enjoy the sun, the only issue is that the bus stop is right outside - so lots of ppl checking out our food coming out of the bus (cant blame them). Service wise its very laid back / friendly vibe.  <br/><br/>Willl definitely be back for some great italian food!
Nucleus Solitarius
This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant. The food is good old-fashioned Italian home cooking...taken to the next level. From the grilled sardines, to the salads, to the meatballs and "sexy duck", it's all just delicious. Oh, and the dessert, chocolate flourless cake and a panacotta with biscotti was the perfect finish to the dinner. Rich and delicious. <br/><br/>Our server Tom was fantastic. Funny, witty, and best of all, made great food suggestions. He'll keep you smiling with the food and with his stories.

Great fun. Great food and friendly service. Unpretentious and delicious. Will definitely return again. We had the family style menu. Very enjoyable.

Meh. It's like eating mega American Italian. I liked the chilled atmosphere, but it was almost too loud to talk. And the wines - not horrible, but pricey and not great. The calamari were above average and it was wonderful that they served beets. Be prepared to burp a lot after you get home.

Ms.. We were the first guests to arrive on a Saturday eveing. The place quickly filled up. Not the fault of the restaurant but we felt rushed as others were waiting in line for seats. The food was alright. Somewhat overrated. Roasted red peppers tasted like they came out of a jar. Peas with the lamb shank tasted like they came out of a can. Pastas were really good and falvourful. Probably the best thing on the menu. Had to ask for a refill for water. Roasted asparagus was tastely as was the rapini but nothing extra special.

Best Italian on this side of town. Great atmosphere, dishes are homey and inventive. Customer service was spectacular. This is the best Italian place in the neighbourhood in my opinion.
Quacky
Excellent food. Excellent service. Great atmosphere. Great place for groups of 4 to 10 people.

Great atmosphere, hearty food. The atmosphere here is great for a date or fun night out. It's a step up from Ferraros (another Italian restaurant next door, delicious too!) in terms of decor and vibe. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. My friend and I shared the grilled shrimp (amazing) and the caprese salad (a little bland. Small balls of boccocini cheese). Then, I had the duck leg which was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! It's a unique menu for an Italian restaurant. It's not the typical pizza or pasta type joint. Plus the menu is always changing. I would highly recommend!

One of the best lasagna in the city. I get the large every time, usually followed by sexy duck.
Luke
Seven numbers was trying for an eclectic feel but fell short with the plywood flooring, burlap table cloths and garage sale dishes and decor. The food was good but portions are very minimal, left hungry. Wait staff did not handle the dishes being served as carefully as would have in a similarly priced restaurant. Would not go back. Would not recommend.

Wonderful and fun dinner!. Dined here with a large group based on a friend's recommendation. The place is really comfy and busy! We had some apps, olives, salad and calamari. For mains we shared the sexy duck leg (so delicious!) some of the meatballs, lamb, salad, and the linguine with the rapini. The food was so good, and it was fun to share and taste all the variety of dishes. We also shared desserts, like the key lime pie, chocolate cake, which was wonderful. Overall, the service was fast, as our group trickled in they were served promptly, and they made us feel welcome. The place is small and busy, so make reservations, or be prepared to wait for a table. Definitely will return!

I ordered meatballs which for the first time came without spaghetti a side order was seven dollars. The portions are small compared to pasta portions at other local restaurants
Sheryl
So so - not as good as it used to be. Not a must try restaurant anymore.

Picky Customer. Saturday October 30 2010- I had heard about 7 Numbers, but had never been until now. What a great experience! Friendly staff, nice atmosphere and the food! Delicious! I travel all over the world and am therefore about as picky as you get....and even by my exacting standards, 7 Numbers is a lovely dining experience!<br/>I will be back as often as I get a chance!

Say hello to Mama Rosa.. I absolutely love love love 7 Numbers.<br/>The food is fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The service is friendly. What else could you want.<br/>Very casual, neighbourhood kind of place. You walk in, you say hello to Mama while she's cooking and get ready for some great Italian food.<br/>My perfect dinner goes...figs and prosciutto, the sexy duck leg (oh soooo good) a side of rapini and maybe peppers too and then finish that off with flourless chocolate cake. Trust me!!<br/>Enjoy.

I wish I had time to take Mama Rosa's cooking class. Homestyle at its best.

The price per person includes LOTS of food (family style), unlimited house wine and an opportunity to work with Momma Rosa   Marinuzzi  in the kitchen to prepare part of the meal . The guests were seated in a communal table that fits 20 comfortably. Everyone came in pairs except for me, which gave me an opportunity to mingle with other guests. M

Right when you walk in, there is an Italian grandmother cooking. You can tell this is the real deal. The menu changes nightly (from what I can tell, there is a lot of consistency, but no guarantees). We got there around 6:30 so we had our choice of seats, but it definitely filled up as the night went on. The prices are far below what you would expect and for what it’s worth, which means you can order more! My recommendation is that you don’t order a la carte, but that you go with the AMAZING $29 per person family style meal. Get ready for great value and a lot of yumminess.

When we ate, we were gloriously happy. We were the only ones on the patio (it was late) and we ate loudly. Smacking our lips and saying “OHMIGAWD” with our mouths full – and then ordering more when our gluttonous selves wanted to continue the wonderful feelings in our mouths. Waiting for the second serving of Orecchiette and zucchini to arrive, another patron came by to talk to Dom as he had heard that there was a marathoner outside doing carb loading. He was a past-marathoner and they spoke of the rush of crossing the finish line, the bordem of running for long distances, how body size doesn’t determine athletic ability… (note: I do not enjoy running very much and I only do it as a means to punish myself, but I am an avid swimmer). He left after we got our second serving… and I, slightly drunk, looked and Dom and showed her why I hated running. I did this by taking my breasts in my hands and showing how they can jiggle when I do too much cardio (note: I am not flatchested). She fell o

I've seen or heard about 7 Numbers Restaurant and its delicious authentic Italian dishes it offers for as long as I can remember.  Recently I was invited to a cooking class & dinner with the woman behind the delicious food - Rosa Marinuzzi - of course I didn't hesitate to attend.  There are two locations in Toronto: one on the Danforth and one on Eglinton ave., the restaurant I visited. In addition to lunch and dinner service at both restaurants, 7 Numbers offers cooking classes with Rosa once or two a month with Rosa.  This experience includes a three-course family-style dinner, unlimited wine and of course the chance to learn some of Rosa's tricks to amazing Italian dishes! Upon entrance to the restaurant, I noticed something unique.  The open kitchen was placed right by the main window, allowing people passing by or restaurant diners to watch the culinary magic happen in front of their eyes.  Of course, this kitchen is where Rosa, myself and other diners were able to get messy to cr

7 Numbers on Eglinton is actually one of two restaurants owned by the Marinuzzi family . The website is great! It gives off the impression that you're going to eat real classic and homey Italian food with a friendly Italian family.... My friend and I decided to go family style for $30 per person so we get to try all these different menu items with antipasti, primi and secondi (and contorni) Calamari with lemon on the right and beet gorgonzola almond salad, caprese salad and arugula and pepper goat cheese salad.
Mary
Perhaps it could be because we each participated in cooking the meal, but everything was delicious. The Deep Fried Calamari was undeniably the best I've ever had. This wasn't your typical rubbery and limp calamari where the batter overwhelms the actual squid. It has a light batter, melts in your mouth, and is probably how real deep fried calamari is supposed to taste like!

What do all restaurants have in common on a Monday night? They are all closed! Except for 7 Numbers Restaurant , where Mama Rosa uses the quiet, low-traffic day of the week (once a month) to teach foodies, cooks and food aficionados the Italian way of cooking.
TheFoodFella
Modern Italian restaurant specializing in homemade, feel good southern inspired comfort food. This is the second incarnation of the original location that was just up the road and they certainly brought the flavor with them to their 'new' digs. <br/><br/>The menu is limited, but still offers a wide variety of food where you can order as much or as little as you like. Sides dishes are served separately from the main courses so it allows you much more variety and choice.  The staff is always casual and friendly and Mama Rosa is the star of the show, making great meals from her small but productive kitchen at the front of the house.

The open kitchen was placed right by the main window, allowing people passing by or restaurant diners to watch the culinary magic happen in front of their eyes. Of course, this kitchen is where Rosa, myself and other diners were able to get messy to create all the different dishes we would make that night.<br/><br/>One thing about Rosa's cooking classes is that there's no recipe needed. She directed us to put 'some' salt in, put 'some' cheese, put 'some' olive oil - you get the idea hahaha. At first I hesitated not measuring the ingredients that's going into the dinner that we'll be eating but I quickly got the hang of her style of cooking - whatever it feels right because she cooks from her heart!<br/><br/>Everything ended up tasting amazing of course, most of the cooking was done by Rosa ;)<br/><br/>Let me just say that I felt like i gained 5lbs. when we were done eating - the food did not stop coming! My favourite dishes of the night were the Linguini with Shrimp, the Fried Artichokes and the Eggplant Palmugiane! Again, it seemed like it was simple enough to make, but I don't think I could duplicate it at home. Since I don't have an Italian nonna to cook these dishes at home for me, I'm going to have to come back to 7 numbers! <br/><br/>Overall, the cooking class with Rosa was a great experience with non stop laughter and wine... of course the food as well! It would be fun to go out with a group of friend, coworkers or a date activity. If you're not going with a big group of friends, don't worry - there are plenty of other food-loving people that make great company.

What do all restaurants have in common on a Monday night? They are all closed! Except for 7 Numbers Restaurant, where Mama Rosa (aka Rosa Marinuzzi) uses the quiet, low-traffic day of the week (once a month) to teach foodies, cooks and food aficionados the Italian way of cooking. For $85 per person, Chef Rosa teaches you the way to Italian cooking with a hands-on lesson, a 3 course meal, all the wine you want and even a few lessons in Italian. Each class is unique and intimate with a limit of about twenty people per class thus giving everyone an opportunity to get their hands dirty. With Rosa’s effervescent personality and way of cooking, one is bound to have a great time while tasting, cooking and chopping alongside her. She is a force to be reckon with and her passion for cooking simple, yet delicious dishes shines through with her food. The ambiance is lively and the flowing glasses of wine definitely liven up any Monday night!<br/><br/>Starting with the salads, Chef Rosa is of the mind that simple and minimalistic is always better, and that generosity in the use of salt and olive oil is a must. From the Caprese salad, to the Grilled Calamari with fricassee, and the Pepper and Arugula Coat Cheese salad, Rosa teaches us how much fun one can have with a salad, and how much flavour one can get out of those leafy greens.Rosa’s pastas are four-dimensional in taste. They are addictive, comforting and extremely tasty. While making the Shrimp Linguini pasta I noticed that the chef uses her secret home-made sauce – Giardiniera – also called “sotto aceti”, which means “under vinegar”, a common term for pickled foods. The Italian version includes onions, celery, zucchini, carrots, cauliflower, olive oil, pimentos and hot peppers. The pickled vegetables are in white wine vinegar. Bringing all the flavours together in the pasta dish, from the meat, to the tomato and even the garlic. A must have when you visit the Mama.In tune with the pasta, 7 Numbers also applies the traditional tomato sauce, with the Giardiniera of course, to the fish of the day. The night’s dish consisted of arctic char that was tossed in a fine layer of seasoned flour and then cooked in less than 4 minutes in the infamous tomato sauce. The end result? A buttery fish that absorbed all the flavours, exploding with a punch in one’s mouth. Who would’ve thought fish could even do that? Simply brilliant.<br/><br/>As the night went on and we got to spend more time with Rosa, we discovered that she has a sultry side. She believes that food should be sexy, and well, fun. So she created the Sexy Duck Leg, a tasty piece of leg (duck) cooked in white wine and baked golden with rosemary branches. A juicy fall-of-the-bone decadence.A big thanks to the Mama and her staff for making Mondays the new Fridays with their smile, love for cooking and great food.Foodie Tip: 7 Numbers also has a location on the Danforth! Head over to 307 Danforth Avenue if that’s closer to you!
