I was expecting it to be another sushi restaurant. I was surprised that Japanese chef can cook good French cuisine and their price so low. I was impressed the food was like the Japanese product sold which was carefully made with all fine details. The many kinds of appetizers serviced together to satisfy your desire to try it all. The lamb rack I ordered was so tender and cooked just right. Even the veg serviced on the side of the main course was carefully cooked and selected. The fork and spoon for the dessert were brought over on a tray covered with a cloth then handed over instead of left on your table or set on the table. Hot water in different pots was serviced continuously without being asked until before you leave. Thanks, I enjoyed the waitress (Hatori’s daughter I was told) dedicated professional service as well as her friendly smile. I will definitely come again. It was a very impressive experience which I did not have for a long time.
Amazing! Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. I ate the pumpkin soup, the pork tenderloin special with a balsamic/blueberry sauce, and the profiteral dessert. To. Die. For! The service was great! The chef came out while we were eating and we were able to tell him how awesome the food was. Definitely coming back again... Can't wait to try something else on the menu :)
Best in danforth. I know it's a strong statement but this place is what all the reviews say, a diamond in the rough.

To get the service we did for those prices and this neighbourhood was totally unexpected. This family run business has charm and likeability. Best Profiteroles I've ever had, and a fantastic H'orderves selection. Give it a go you won't be disappointed!
Hidden Gem!. We decided not to venture into the chaos of Greek town last night for dinner and wanted to try something new.
After reading a recent review in Toronto Life (http://www.torontolife.com/guide/restaurants/bistro/bistro-camino/) we decided to give Bistro Camino (at Dawes and Danforth) a try.
Sooooo glad we did!
We bought a prix fixe each ($25 and $28) so we could try as much of their food as possible.
It started out with an appetizer platter and EVERYTHING was great (carpaccio, smoked salmon, escabeche fish, onion and garlic soup, ham and potato salad, bocconcini and tomato skewer). We could have gone for another round it was so good...easily.
My husband had the duck confit with Italian sausage, cauliflower with bernaise sauce, and other vegetables. Delicious.
I had the crab cream croquettes, homemade tartar sauce and a side salad (orange cream salad dressing).
The house wines are good, general list LCBO wines at a great price (I recall it was around 28)
After the first or second bite, we knew we were in for a great meal. We will definitely go back. Soon.
This family-run restaurant is SO GOOD! The chef and owner is Japanese, and you will experience a true ZEN feeling not only from the lovely interior but also in the amazing food - high quality, rich favours and unique taste!
We can barely wait to come back shortly!
A pretty new experience! I ordered the smoked salmon as the appetizer and the smoked chicken as the main dish which comes with either a soup or a salad. I picked the tomato soup but apparently, it is served cold, so, if you don't like cold soups, don't make my mistake :D (I need to add that they were so polite and changed my soup immediately).

If you are around in the Danforth and Victoria Park area, you need to try this restaurant. It is a rare find. Menu price is very good, food is tasty, good wine selection and great service. Take a look at these delicious dishes.
Delicious food and drinks, courteous and quick service. Reasonable prices. A litle noisy as its small, but will definitely go back. We had the braised beef and sole wrapped in banana leaf, accompanied by either soup or salad - totally delicious. Compliments to all the staff.
A hidden gem! Delicious, quality food with beautiful presentation at excellent prices. Wonderful service. We had the duck a l’orange and Cajun cod and shrimp in banana leaf, both served with asparagus, broccoli, roasted root vegetables. Delicious.Highly recommend.
Great dinner for beef, nicely cooked and packed with excellent customer service.
Why had I not heard of this wonderful place before? What delicious food and superb service! The gazpacho was cold and perfectly spiced on a sweltering day. Then came the home-smoked pork and chicken. Utterly splendid. RUN THERE!
Camino Bistro is just incredible. A small French fusion restaurant and dining room hidden amongst the noise at Danforth and Main. Authentic, fresh dishes at very reasonable prices. Fantastic for dine in ambiance, and for take out.
