Review Duke Of Somerset - Toronto

I went to here yesterday, it was nice ^^ The waitress welcoming was warm and very kind to us, and I liked their mood inside and outside. They have a patio so you can chose anywhere you want. It has small dish in their menu, so I chooses 3kinds of type dish, cuz their main menu’s price isn’t cheaper than other casual Pob,

Enjoyed the patio with good service. The menu has lots of variety. Had a yummy curry dish with a side salad. Two thumbs up!

Average place for food not many interesting options and vegetarian options are limited. Same menu as Duke of Cornwall. Good place for drinks

The manager Phil was great to us, highly recommended place. Good beer and decent food.

English pubs are usually a good time, and this one is solid. Great interior space with abundant outdoor space (though little direct sun if you're into that). We just had drinks this time, but I've had the food before and it's alright. Really, the environment is relaxed and staff are good, so it's a great place to grab drinks before the main event (whatever that may be).

Nice enough British pub style bar, very convenient if you are staying at the Chelsea Hotel. Not so much traditional British pub but very similar to the type of UK chain pubs you get these days. Food was ok, nothing outstanding. Service was likewise perfectly acceptable and friendly.

Your standard pub in the downtown core that is ideal for small, medium, or large group gatherings. It’s got all the familiar fair that makes this place attractive such as a large drink menu of beer, spirits, and wine; a menu full of traditional pub fare; and a pretty sizable patio space for those summer-time drinks. The patio is lovely in the summer with all of it covered with shade so you don’t slowly roast yourself throughout the day. Having your whole patio covered is such a winner in my books. The patio is a mix of picnic benches, booths, and regular tables & chairs. The inside has the decor of an English pub and it’s looks very nicely decorated. Service here is fast and friendly here although each time that I have been here, it wasn’t overly busy for a Thursday evening. We were the only large group using the patio on a non 20+ celsius day in the city. You can expect to pay about $8 per pint on average given their menu which seems to be the market price in and around downtown Toronto. I looked at their food menu and wasn’t overly thrilled at the prices for the offerings personally. I am always a bit of stickler when it comes to pub food pricing. It’s just a personal opinion of my own perceived value of what is attractive good pricing. Still had a fun time overall with my group of friends and it’s a place that easy and convenient for after-work drinks.

I must have eaten at this bar fifty times by this point. It is good, simple bar food. I've enjoyed the wings more times than I can count, and the nachos are good too. Just a good place to watch games and go for after work drinks. They have a large patio for summer drinks that almost always had available seating

Worst restaurant ever. Do not go here if you're looking for good service. Had a few allergies in the group and they served the food with those allergies completely ignored. Told them it was due to anaphylaxis and they brought it back 30 seconds later clearly just taking the tomatoes off the burger. Most of our party were never asked if they wanted anything else to drink after the first round. Kids were always served last. Then we weren't served for a whole hour after our food was brought out we were completely ignored we had to go ask for the checks. Then we were told we couldn't have separate bills after because we were a group larger than ten. Once we complained they covered some of our drinks and the one meal but I still would not recommend this restaurant.

The food here is pretty mediocre and the servers here were somewhat rude. I came here with a group of 7 people and when we were ready to order, the server saw us wave and ignored us to continue talking to a coworker!

Worst place on earth! I've been there 3 times and all three times management has asked our party to move tables mid dinner/drinks so that they can accommodate another group. Actually didn't even ask if they could move us, they just stated that they were moving us! Horrible customer service! Pew pew pew

THANK YOU! A week ago we were at the pub after spending a week at Sick Kids. Excited to have 'real' food the manager comped our meal as we were celebrating with our daughter that she survived her week. The generous gesture brought me to tears. The next time we are in Toronto , we will be going back !!!

I've been to this pub after work several times, and have been fortunate enough to make a couple of sponsored parties there. Great environment with friendly and very attentive staff (not at all hard on the eyes either - sorry it had to be said). The food is good, but shined at the parties (one was make your own curry night). I will keep going for sure!

Felt like I was in an airport lounge, overpriced tourist trap

rom the tour with Emily, I have my heart set out to try the deep-fried Mars bar from Duke of Somerset. They had me at deep-fried. LOL. I took the whole piece in one bite and the nugget burst warm gooey chocolate in my mouth. They sure know how to please a chocoholic like me.
