Just as amazing as I remember. Friendly staff and delicious pastries. Very nice Greek Coffee.
Atlas Del Mar
Great authentic Greek pastries. Very friendly staff, a worthwhile stop on the Danforth.
VoudouLounge
Nice little store on the Danforth for a quick snack or coffee. Unfortunately it seems their pies are getting smaller with less filling and the prices are going up. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and they get their pies back on track.

It was in 2014 that I fell in love with loukoumades (honey balls) made by Athens. Definitely one of my favourite desserts of all time. They're unique in that they're more than just deep fried mini donut-like pastries with whatever toppings. They're crispy on the outside, soft and light inside, and most importantly oozing honey everywhere. Probably my worst guilty pleasure. Highly recommend.

An absolute classic - they have been around for decades - I used to go here as a kid and still love it. Very reasonable prices. They make the best desserts (explode in your mouth honey balls) and amazing savoury philo pastry dishes. Reminds me of my Yia Yia's cooking. Cannot recommend enough!

Spanakopita and Loukoumades are so fresh and tasty. Not a long list of menu items, but the items that they do have are fantastic! There's a small seating area inside and some tables and chairs outside to enjoy as well. Definately worth the trip to The Danforth.

This little Greek bakery has amazing loukoumades and spanakopita, served by super friendly staff and at very reasonable prices. The loukoumades are absolutely dripping with flavour in a fun little texture—I recommend getting at least a dozen or you'll simply be left wanting more. Give em a visit!

Fattening Excellence! I love their Spanakopitas! I think this place existed 40 years ago only on the Danforth... Delicious!

You guys are killing me. I've been working at Toronto East General Hospital for the past few weeks, in a construction project, and all I could smell every morning was something heavenly. I didn't realize that the hospital had a pastry shop. Every morning, I have a slice of Heaven with my coffee, thanks to you. What a fantastic way to start my day.
Thank you.

For that nagging hunger pang, Athens Pastries has freshly baked truly light and tasty Tiropitas and Spanakopitas waiting to the plug that empty spot, as well as sweet loukoumades to seal it up, as pictured. Great folks as well. Καλή όρεξη / Kalí órexi!!

I came in here to buy some sweets with a friend. We got two mini cokes, which were a really nice treat! I haven't had them before and I usually get baklava when I get Greek sweets. I'll be back again to try more :)

Amazing!. Athens Pastries is really the ONLY place to buy Greek pastries! Hands down the best loukamades and spanakopita in Toronto. The prices are relatively inexpensive and the food is amazing.

Small well light place is ideal for someone who wants to treat themselves to a coffee and a bite. Perfect for an occasion. Cannot wait to go back!

YUM!!

My two boys and I have been going to Athens Pastries for spanakopita at least once a month since my now six-year-old started solids. We love it, and it’s the only place my four-year-old will eat a vegetable without accusing me of trying to poison him. I am not alone in this, as the place is always full of kids eating happily alongside tables full of cooing Greek grandparents, there for their mid-morning coffee and tiropita (cheese pie to us mere mortals).

It’s daringly simple and a model that works: they do basically one thing here, but they do it absolutely right. The phyllo is made in house and there’s a lot of skill, care and consistency in the product...

Don’t skip dessert, and definitely don’t think about the calories this will entail. Loukoumades are basically the Greek version of the Timbit: a scrumptious ball of fried dough, soaked in honey syrup and sprinkled with cinnamon. Try to eat them in one bite or you may have sticky honey syrup dripping all over you.
