Review Chipotle Mexican Grill - Toronto

I think my favorite food Pizza, might just got replaced with the amazing Quesadillas from Chipotle. This food will leave you spending more than anticipated but this is just so worth it. The chicken burrito bowl is also another favorite dish that I loved from this location. The containers include minimal plastic and I love that for nature. This store is definitely one of my favorite location among other branches!!

Always been a fan on chipotle. What's not to like with this fast and quick service joint and the food is healthy as well. I wish ppl could clean up after they are done or the staff keeps an eye on seating area. Otherwise all great. Cheers!!

Ordered Veggie Chipotle Bowl from this restaurant and I found some meat piece(does not even know the name) while eating the bowl. Staff should be extra careful because it would be worst for the people like me who does not eat non-veg.

First time trying Chipotle, Love it✨✨ The staff is also really nice!

The Good thing about Chipotle is that it let's you customize your meal.

If you are a burrito/taco lover then this is the go-to place. The chicken burrito/bowl is the one of their top stuff. Best is to skip the rush hours. To be honest this location is always busy, with a huge line till door. I usually take guacamole on top of the regular one to add a bit more taste, but that adds up couple more bucks. I guess this one has better bowl than the other burrito makers around. I do highly recommend this place.

The serving and treatment was really good. The salad i order was also awesome.

I went here today and ordered two bowls. Almost no rice and beans was given for both aswell as steak. Why am I paying $27 for literally almost no food? Way better options than this chipotle. Avoid this place please.

Just had a Sofritas Birrito Bowl. Amazing staff, excellent customer service and great food! You never disappoint me. Thank you!!!

I had ordered a burrito bowl for pick-up at 12 30 and when I arrived, they hadn't yet started to make it. It took only 5 minutes for them to throw together my order and then they insisted on giving it to me free of charge. Completely unexpected but of course appreciated :) your excellent customer service means I'll be coming back again!

Love the food but it's too chaotic at this location. They had a massive line up at 2pm. It was so busy, the server's couldn't hear orders and vice versa. They screwed up my order because of this. Don't even think about ordering for 2 people. The orders get passed on the assembly line so fast it's impossible to tell them what topping goes on which order. Won't be back to this location! !!!

When the Aztecs all died they sent us Chipotle to remind us that there are things worth sacrificing gold for 🙌

Love my Chipotle, I eat here all the time.

Chipotle at yonge and eglinton used to be my go to place, one of my favourites, until today. I found a big piece of completely raw chicken in my chicken burrito bowl. I hope I don't get sick. :(

I AM NEVER EVER EATING CHIPOTLE EVER AGAIN!!!!!!! Today, after giving Chipotle a third chance, I am swearing off this establishment forever. After ordering a burrito, I noticed an off-putting texture in my mouth. I bit into a hard black, burnt piece of plastic. When I opened up the burrito, I found pieces of plastic throughout the insides. At first, I thought maybe it was char, but I ordered a VEGGIE BURRITO. I was literally gagging. The last two times I had Chipotle, I got food poisoning. I was vomiting violently. I am never ever eating here again! Don't eat here unless you want to be poisoned :(

First time eating here. Amazing food. Great staff. We will be back.

Pretty good first experience, minus the homeless girl that was canvassing the entire place, I have compassion for the homeless but to come in a restaurant and beg the whole place...? Not sure if the staff noticed but I hope that isn't tolerated.

Delicious food as always! Can't wait for the new location at Rideau Centre in Ottawa to open next month

Not a review, just wondering if adults can order kids meals?

Had lunch here today. Felt so rushed my son was almost forced to eat something he didn't want. After complaining to the cashier about the issue, I'm guessing manager over heard me and fixed the issue quickly. I was happy about that. But due to how rushed I felt I won't rush back.

Loved the food. Service is unfriendly. Great location.

Wonderful combination on bowl or wrap. Great taste, just love it!
Aiden McLean
Delicious burrito and cool atmosphere. Would have preferred if the burrito was grilled after being made.

@chipotle needs no introduction. The have cemented their reputation as the go to Mexican place and they do have some really good options. I tried this burrito bowl which was super healthy as it had brown rice, black beans, veggies, some cheese and crispy nacho chips to go with! #gourmetbliss

Burrito Bowls are my favourite! Chipotle is one of few eating spots that i miss since i moved to Alberta! You get what you pay for! Quality and taste! Love it!

After long time, visited Chipotle. the standard still remains the same. Veggie bowl with guacamole is always a must try and all time fav with chillis and chips.

You need to try chipotle to know what it is , though it’s a Mexican food chain but the fresh ingredients and customised preparation makes it special.

The food is always great here , love the tacos , burritos and burrito bowls here.you can pick and choose the ingredients for your burrito and enjoy it.

Must try if you like Mexican food .

Food -4
Service -4
Ambience - 5

One of the best vegetarian and healthiest food options to have. Quantity is amazing too. A complete diet it is. Tried burrito bowl 🍲 and it was yum. Highly recommended. It is definitely on the repeat list. Guacamole is spot on !

Had a chipotle dinner with the quintessential Mexican brown rice, beans, sour cream, salsa and pulled pork. Huge quantity and good taste makes up for a classic dinner.

The seating could improve though but then it’s ok with the food which is the main reason why people visit. Service is prompt and the price is reasonable. One could have a hearty mean under 10 bucks here.

Good tasty tacos and burritos also available. Parking is a big pain though!!
Noppie
Have tried both the burrito bowl and the taco’s with Barbacoa. The meat is always good and their food is fresh. Love the burrito bowl but the taco’s could be better.

These guys are the best at what they serve. We ordered Chicken Burrito, Chicken Bowl with chips and salsa side. The food was tasty and wholesome. Don't miss the Guac though cos thats the cherry on the cake.

The service and food was prompt. Just 1 star less for the tables which weren't clean.
Fresh burrito and excellent customer service. The whole line of staff greeted me in a friendly manner once I walked through the restaurant. I was never treated with such courtesy before. I ordered the veg burrito and I was impressed with how similar the mock meat tasted like meat. I enjoyed it. The burrito was more like a salad filling to me because it was more on the cold side. I usually eat warm or hot burritos. So this was something different. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it thoroughly. The service was QUICK also. I definitely recommend anyone to try food at this place.

Food poisoning every time I go to Chipotle. The taste is bland to me and like a bowl of mush. It's also very expensive for such awful quality, but That is my opinion, there might be a mob after me for writing this hahaha.

And why is Guac Extra??!?!! It is a basic necessity for Mexican food !

2017/03/23
I showed up at Chipotle about 15 minutes before noon, and there was no one in line, so I was able to order and pay for my lunch very quickly. By the time i left, about 20 minutes later, there were more than a dozen people in line. In my opinion, Chipotle knows how to make a good burrito, and I guess others agree.

My choice is usually brown rice, black beans, chicken. Add in mild salsa, lettuce, sour cream and cheese, and I'm good to go.

One of the things I liked about my burrito today was that I was able to finish my burrito without the last few bites falling apart in a wet mess. Some other places don't drain their fillings enough, making those last few bites difficult to eat.
Rocky Perera
These were decent Tacos and were missing the key spices that I like but if you are in a rush downtown then I guess is the go to spot for your mexican hit
Melika
I love Mexican food specially burritos I tried steak burrito and its very delicious some tomes they don't cook the steak properly and I don't like the raw steak taste but other than that I recommend it to Mexican food lovers
Foodoholic
Being a lover of Mexican food, I visit this place fairly frequently and yet have never been disappointed till date. Food is consistent, full of flavours, and a quick take away meal. The bowls and burritos are super, while nachos only come in handy with some salsa or guacamole, at an added cost. The salsa comes with chives of spicy medium and mild and there are added tobacco sauces on the side to give u extra chipotle or hot flavour. Awesome, simple love it!

Sneaked in for a meal with wife since we had a BOGO offer coupon.Ordered the sofritas bowl and veggie salad.Added guac to the bowl. The portions look decent enough but once you dig into it you actually feel it's fit for a fitting meal.We both felt full after our bowls.I opted for brown rice and mix of beans which went well. The sauces are available at the table if you wish to spice up your meal.Overall a good experience and will definitely be back to try their burritos.

The first time I went to this place I was unimpressed with the burrito that I ordered. It was deceivingly small. That is until I started eating and realized I was done by 1/4 of the way through. Love the taste and quality. It is a bit pricey IMHO for what is it but compared to similar foods the pricing is within the ball park.
Esther Lee
I've been here maybe 3-4 times in my life, but came here today for the first time in over a year to grab lunch w friends. It was around noon so there was a lot of people, but managed to get in line before the crazy rush. I ordered a sofritas bowl, which was the vegan option. Taste-wise it was pretty good, but my bowl ended up smaller than I expected for $10, the ingredients only just reaching the top of the cardboard section rather than filling up the entire container. I'm not sure if this is because I didn't order meat, but compared to Urban Herbivore which is a similar price, this falls short in taste and portion. Lastly, I ordered no sour cream, but the server actually put some in before asking me what I wanted, and then did nothing after I told her my request. Since I'm not vegan and it was a preference rather than a dietary requirement it's not a big deal for me, but I think they should pay more attention since typically sofritas is the only vegan option. However, it was very busy in there which was probably a factor. Overall, not terrible but I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

Great location and it's Chipotle so you pretty much know what you're getting here. If you wander into Dundas Square, this is probably a good bet for something quick and somewhat fresh without having to wade through the crowds to find the food courts in the mall.

Salad, rice, veggies and chicken options are standard. Wish they offered more chicken but hey, it's a chain.

Great option if you're trying to stay on the healthy wagon as you can request specifically what you want in your meal. Also, free refills :)
Kylie Tiffin
I really don't get what the hype is about this place. It's a crowded mess with mediocre food. I ordered a simple burrito bowl with chicken in it. Somehow they managed to mess it up with sour salsa and burnt chicken.

It shames me that something I looked forward to is getting my first really negative rating, but I would not recommend this place at all.
Tony J Basil
One of the best places to have a full healthy meal for around 10$

They do not accept debit cards, only cash or credit.
I stick to the burrito bowls which are easier to eat and taste good.
Try the carnitas or the barbacoa.

They have great vegetarian options as well. There isn't much of an ambience but the service is pleasant.

Food : 4.5/5
Service : 4/5
Ambience : 3/5

Gord, Trish and I were going to see a movie this evening ... alas, it sold out before we got our tickets. Beforehand, we met at Chipotle Mexican Grill (Yonge/Dundas) for supper. Trish and Gord both ordered burrito bowls (a burrito without the wrap). Trish's was vegan. Gord's had chicken ... he said it was just okay

Surprisingly it wasn't as busy when I visited. The lineup usually starts as soon as you come in. They only accept Cash or Credit Card. NO DEBIT. I prefer the Carnitas or Chicken. The Barbacoa is pretty good as well. They offer brown rice if you don't like white rice. You can ask for a bit more toppings however they will probably give you some side eye or tell you that you'll have to pay extra. One Burrito or Burrito Bowl will cost you about $10+. It was a bit cheaper when they first opened and they did give a better portion of toppings back then.

Ambiance: chill out/fast food 10/10
Clean: 10/10
Food:
Beef burrito 1/10, the beef was rubbery and difficult to chew, didn't enjoy trying to chew through bubble gum meat. Not fun.
Nachos: 10/10 with in house made salsa. Spicy and delicious.
Would I return? NO.
Why? Too expensive for bubble gum.

Love it!. I had the veggie burrito and I loved it! It was so tasty, fresh, and VERY filling. Half way through the burrito and I was already full. I couldn't stop though, because it was so delicious. I would definitely return, and definitely recommend to others. I can't wait to try the other menu items.

The yonge at location is the best. For some reason when I went to front nothing seemed as fresh and were very conservative with toppings. Margaritas are the best deal in town. I usually stick to the vegetarian salad so guac is included. Found the barbacoa upsets my stomach and the chicken can be dry.

Great food, great staff. Just went there today for the first time...there was a line but it moved fast and Amy, the manager at the downtown Toronto location is amazing!

Blahh. Got the chicken burrito. I had to throw half of it out it was so gross. The chicken was awful. Went to the Yorkdale one a couple days before and it was fine.

Hit and Miss. Been to this location and the Front Street location several times.

Find that the food is a real hit and miss. Sometimes it's Awesome and sometimes it isn't.....

The price is definitely more expensive than it is in the US chains...so it's very disappointing...

Wish they had a loyalty card program...eg buy 6 meals and get the 7th one for free...

Hormone-free (ethically sourced? -- not sure if there is such a thing as humane killing of animals) but you know what you are eating. Delicious and large portions. A little more expensive than other fast food places but the quality is worth it. Great veggie options. Salty chips and yummy salsa! Often end up here after a busy day.
Debbie
WOW!!!. Went here for the 1st time with a friend who has been before and raved about it. Well she was right.... It was the BEST burrito I have ever had!!! Love the freshness of all the ingredients and the taste was out of this world. Seating was very limited but thankfully the weather was great and we went outside.

Oh my god. I am an avid Mexican cuisine aficionado and this is one of the best Mexican food I've ever had. I've come here at least once a fortnight ever since my first time.
The food: everything is freshly made on the day, and because of how popular they are, they keep rolling out fresh new batches around the clock. The flavor of the medium roasted salsa is what really makes the dish for me. It tastes so authentic and so delightful on my palette, I would not rave for it if this was not a component in my dish. It ties everything together so cohesively, like a beautiful symphony. The only time I may not be as happy with my order is when the proportion of each component is off, because each item is made so fresh and is consistently the same each time.
The ambiance is upbeat and friendly, the service is as fast as it could be.
I cannot recommend this place enough, but be sure you get the medium roasted salsa!!
Jungeunie
Expensive. Really good but very expensive for a burrito..
Too bad its so overpriced..

You want fast food at yonge and dundas? Go here! It's worth every penny and you will leave full and satisfied. Great service and great food a++
Peter M.
Good, a little on the pricey side, but worth a try. I had the hard shell beef tacos. Free re-fills on the soft drinks.

Tried this place one day for lunch when they first opened up in Toronto at Yonge Dundas Square at a recommendation of a friend who had tried their food while in the US and said it was great and a must try. I ordered what I thought was a burrito but they gave me the bowl version instead, didn't phase me and come in with an open mind. I brought my food back to my table as my wife ordered something different as we wanted to switch half way. My first bite I ended up spitting the food back-up in to a napkin and didn't have time to complain as the lineups were massively long and only had enough time to eat and run back to work. The food was so overly seasoned that I had my wife taste just to make sure and she completely agreed. She was a trooper and finished hers off but swore to never go back. After telling my friend he went a few weeks later and apologized for referring me as he tasted it and didn't know why it was so bad.
Rick G.
Small portions and overpriced. Food I'd good but not worth the price. Skip this place and go to other nearby burrito places.
Rick Morris
Excellent chicken borrito. Beer was cold and margarita was average. Not quite the 'real' thing but was good enough. I would recommend it as the perfect place for a food pit stop before the game.

Mmm! GigAntic servings, good for two people
Good Eats
Nice place for a quick bite. The chicken tacos were amazing with fresh ingredients. If you want something lighter, the salads are tasty too.

Not McDonald's (any more). CMG was started independently in 1993, then (from wiki) From 1998 to 2006, McDonald's Corporation owned a majority interest in Chipotle, which it fully divested in 2006.
So you don't have to feel strange after all!
This company has very good integrity when it comes to their naturally raised animals and the way they source their food. Green thumbs way up!!
MC
Fast, not that cheap, but good. I get the barbacoa. its good. I just don't think its worth the price. Sometimes they skimp on the meat :( but its still good.
Brian C
Love it!. Fell in love with this place in Florida. I wished we had it here in Toronto and was surprised to find they had just opened one (now we have 2). Now if they would only open one up in Durham region.

I always get the steak fajita burrito.
Troop Of Monkeys
Great food. Visited Toronto and had a great lunch.
Very friendly and quick service. Fresh ingredients and choices of hot sauces and salsas.
Not the best for little kids ( seating arrangements and huge portions ). However they my burrito half spicy ( for me ) and the other half mild ( for my 2 year old son ).
We loved the food.
FoodThug
Fast, cheap, filling. Quality ingredients, fast service, and no frills.
Fuciagrunge
Decent, nothing special. Chipotle has fresh ingredients and the lineup is usually pretty quick. As far as mexican food goes, its tasty, but somewhat americanized and even bland at times. the portions are large, but at almost ten bucks a pop, you've gotta question whether you want something more authentic with a slightly more realistic portion size. however, as a hungry ryerson student you really can't go wrong- these burritos will keep you going even through 6 hours of class.
Torontochick
Pricey to have on a weekly basis but definitely worth a try. their cups and guar are quite good and their vegetarian taco are messy but worth it
Eser
Great chain from the US. Fell in love with Chipotle in the US and was glad it came to Toronto! Yes, it's not gourmet, really sit-down, or food you can't live without--BUT, it's really good fresh fast cheap food. A million times fresher and better than any Taco Bell and I much prefer Chipotle to Burrito Boyz.
Good Food
Great food!!!. Chipotle in comparison to moe's or other competition, serves real food, real meat and everything is done with integrity. At chipotle your paying for quality that you can get at any other burrito place. This includes naturally raised meat, free of antibiotics, free range and free of hormones. everything is fresh, nothing is frozen or MICROWAVED! like moe's wich is absolutely disgusting. Ill sugeed just to eat wisely and eat good food from good sources. A dollar can make a difference, please people lets not be so cheap when it comes to our very personal nutrition and life style.
Connoisseur
Shocked. I am shocked this US franchise is on the list of top cheap eats for Toronto. Actually I am embarassed. Toronto has a lot more to offer. I thought this site had better taste.
Joanne Sackman
The fresh wraps. Are simply awesome!
Rachel Greiner
Very tasty, but the hard shell tacos were really small for the price you pay. Other items on menu for same price had larger portions. Would select one of those for the price paid.

Overpriced, Slow, Cold, and Bland. Recently, my curiosity struck me and I decided to try Moe's (a competitor to Chipotle,http://www.moes.com/ ) in comparison to Chipotle.

Abridged version:
Ill be frank, Moe's was much better, 5/5, compared to Chipolte which I would give 3/5.I personally will save my self a few dollars and dine at Moe's from now on. It has the better staff, better food, and cheaper food.

Unabridged:
I tried a steak burrito in both places, with rice, black beans, salsa, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream. Moe's food was amazing. Chipotle was quite honestly a let down. The steak was drier at Chipolte while Moe's steak has more seasoning, moisture, and texture thereby making it superior. The rice at Moe's also had more seasoning and tasted better in comparison to Chipolte's. The cheese was the same as I could tell. The sour cream was similar however more runny at Chipolte. The salsa was slightly better at chipolte because they give you the option of mild, medium, hot inside your burrito. Moe's offers the salsa free in the back and has two more varieties so this equals out in my eyes. One thing to note, My burrito at chipotle fell apart on me about halfway thurough my meal. This did not happen to me at Moe's or other burrito establishments.

A note I would like to also make, is that the nachos(and salsa to dip them in) at Moe's were free, while it cost 2 dollars at Chipolte.

The staff at Moe's was very efficient and I was serviced quite quickly. It was actually much faster than I expect, and I even had time during my lunch break to relax.
The Chipolte had more staff "on line" serving customers, but I found it to be at least double the wait. I found this to mind boggling. Kudos to the well train staff of Moe's. Both staff were quite friendly, however I am not there to socialize, but get my food.

In terms of price, Moe's wins out again. They are roughly the same cost for the burritos, however If you choose not to sour cream or Guacamole at Moe's it reduces the price. This coupled with the free Nachos and Salsa, and their deals during the week make Moe's much cheaper.

A few Chipotle specific comments: at one point during the "lunch rush" there was 5 burritos waiting to be rang up at the cash register. The register did not take debit which was very inconvenient. This caught me off guard because they only posted this at the register and not the front door like most establishments would. After I paid for my meal via Amex, I had to wait a minute for the cashier to give me a receipt. I found this service substandard to other places, even McDonalds.

I personally will save my self a few dollars and dine at Moe's from now on. It has the better staff, better food, and cheaper food.

Wow. You'd be crazy not to love this mexican white bundle of joy

Guilty Pleasure. I found out that this place was owned by MacDonald's only after I had enjoyed the food and the vibe; now I feel very strange.

Wow, finally some authentic Mexican food I can sink my teeth in. Worth the painful traffic jam on the DVP getting there. A little piece of heaven.
Dave G
Great tasting, healthy, fresh & fast food at fair prices. Worth seeking out when you're at Yonge & Dundas.

Guilt-free & oh so good!. Chipotle is proving that we can have delicious, quality foods, at reasonable prices and treat the animals who provide it to us with dignity & respect. I go regularly & will continue as long as they do.

Best Burritos. I come here about once a week and get the burrito bowl or salad. Always fresh, consistant and quick!
I wish there were smaller portion options though- I always feel just a little TOO full afterwards! So yummy.
Jessica M
3/5. Awesome food, just irks me how much more expensive it is here than the USA.
Ginnette
I'd drive2 hours for Chipotle. These are the best burritos! I love that the ingredients are better quality. They do not use refried bean mush or pulled chicken -- both things I don't enjoy in other burritos. Their guacamole actually tastes like avocado and their chips have an interesting hint of lime. I'll pay a little extra any day of the week to have good quality food. My only complaint is that they are really big, so I'd suggest to them to make the burritos in two sizes.
Jamie
Solid, consistant food. Love this place - for a quick, fresh and little bit pricier burritto, you will not be disappointed. I bring people here a lot who are not willing to stray too far outside their comfort zone.

amazing guacamole, and salsa. free range chicken and beef, and GREAT beans for vegetariens (not just refried)

was ecSTATIC when chipotle moved into Canada.
Aquaman123
It's all about the burritos here. Hot isn't too spicy (of course that's subjective). The large filled me up quite nicely and was tasty to boot! Recommend you try this place at the very least
Roke87
I first tried a chipotle burrito when I was in the states and I've been hooked ever since!! The burritos are massive, And if course taste amazing. I love chipotle!!!!!!

Stellar for a quick bite. +++The place is green too!.

Mexican fast food with a liquor license. Surprisingly brought to you by the McDonalds Corp. The ingredients are fresh and the specialty dish is great.

For a dedicated vegetarian, ordering food at a non-veg restaurant can be hard. Altering menu options can be a lengthy process, and not to mention, an extra expense... don’t worry, because I’ve settled on a good one...… this must by why Chipotle Mexican Grill is always crowded.
Emily Liu
I absolute love food from Chipotle so I'll be eating burritos from there whenever I stop at Square! The menu is still the same as always and they still pack the same generous amount that they always do in their burritos. So so soooo good!

Cool Food Dude
Chipotle, Chipotle, how do I love thee? I may seem strange to profess ones love to a fast food restaurant but considering the jam-packed Yonge street location, I am not alone in my adoration of the burrito bowl.
Wherethelocalsgotoronto
When it comes to mexican fast food chipotle has done it right. By far my favourite burrito in the city. The CHICKEN BURRITO is loaded with everything, cilantro-lime rice, vegetarian black beans, guacamole, all three salsas (mild, medium and hot), sour cream and of course cheese. The first time I remember hearing about Chipotle Mexican Grill was when I watched the owner of the company interviewed on the Oprah show. He spoke passionatly about how fast food restaurants need to take more social responsibility for the meals they are serving. The food we eat doesn't have to be bad for the animals and earth from where we source them or flown in on a refrigerated truck from half way across the country. His vision was to make locally sourced, fresh, "healthy" Mexican food using a fast food concept that utilized a Greener business model than the competition. At the time the restauarnt wasn't available in Canada but I was eager to feast on his philosophy. I was recently invited by the company to dine at their Yonge and Eglington location in Toronto (they have arrived in Canada, thumbs up). When doing research on the restaurant everyone I spoke with raved about the food. What a delight to eat at a fast food restaurant that asserts their pork and beef are all natural

Unlike other fast food places, Chipotle are licensed and have a few beers available. And although they are a few dollars more expensive that fast food places, you won't have a greasy stomach feeling for hours afterwards.

Limited menu, but that’s good because I don’t waste as much time deciding what I want and I’m more trusting that each item is good. :D I usually get chicken so I went to the Steak Burrito this time.

On Yonge Street, just north of Dundas Chipotle Mexican Grill is a chain Mexican restaurant that shockingly is American and actually serves Mexican food instead of Tex-Mex. It is in that little downtown strip mall that’s right across from the Eaton Centre, with its own entrance that connects to the street. Obviously a popular place The line-up is long, the hype is large, just like any bad place I ever went to, so I was skeptical, like I always am. Since I was the first of my family to sit down, I should talk about the decor of the joint first. a modern version of Mayan art The fake Mayan art [can you tell the difference between the Mayans, Incans, and the Aztecs? I'll give you the general difference down below] was a neat touch and better than stereotyped sombrero, and I’ll forgive them for the incomplete ceiling, since it wasn’t that big a deal anyway. One big complaint I have is the loud music, I mean rock concerts are quieter! It seems one of many urban restaurant trends t

No matter where I go in the world, there’s always time to stop at a Chipotle for a quick meal. There are currently only 4 locations in Toronto and the one I went to was just right near Eaton’s Centre. I’ve had Chipotle’s in New York , Seattle and in Vancouver …. and now Toronto. They serve up Mexican fast food and you can find things like tacos, burritos, salad or a burrito bowl. All their ingredients are local and organic, so it is not 100% the same as the other Chipotle locations around the world. You start by ordering from one end to the other creating your meal. The staff are always nice and friendly. They will try to go out of your way to make sure you have a great meal. We ordered a variety of Soft Tacos and the Bowl . My favourite meats are the Barbacoa and the carnitas. I always ask half 2 kinds of meat instead of one. Then I add everything on top. Yummy! If you want to get the most bang for your buck, definitely get the bowl as you can fit more ingredients inside. We Rate Chip
Eating In Vancouver
Chipotle is one of my favourite places to eat in the grand ole US of A. So how excited was I to try my first Chipotle in Canada, eh! We were in Toronto for the Apple Expo , and made a beeline directly to Chipotle on Yonge Street, Dundas Square. Regular Chipotle signage framed the outside of the restaurant, and it had the usual chain layout. This place was packed with hungry Chipotle fiends waiting patiently for their hot tacos and burritos. Luckily, I snagged us a table and Gary ordered our usual chicken and barbacoa burrito bowls, one with guac of course. This restaurant looked like a Chipotle, and did our meals - the taste, however, left something to be desired. The cheese was rubbery, the salsa didn't taste as fresh as American Chipotles, the black beans had a bizzare flavour, and both the chicken and barbacoa were comprised of unusual spices. Our gaucamole had a large chunk of unripe, unmashed avocado. Prices were also more expensive than USA locations. Usually, chicken burritos bo

Apparantly this place is a popular chain in the US and I can see why they are so successful. This location is right next to Dundas Square and the menu is simple and they make it in front of you. You can choose the type fir

It’s not an awesome taco truck or a fabulous taqueria, but Chipotle is a fresh, fast-food alternative that previously only existed in the U.S. Chipotle’s first Canadian location opened last summer on Toronto’s Yonge Street, as part of Toronto Life Square.

Not everyone might love chipotle, especially the food snobs who believe paying $18 for tiny piece of "authentic" Mexican taco is worth the money. But coming from someone who's travelled to best Tex-Mex (it's not supposed to be "authentic" stupid) restaurants in South Cali and the lone star state of Texas, I say chipotle has pretty much nailed it in terms of bang for your buck. What other restaurant that use good ingredients, cook in front of you, and highly customize your order (for vegetarians & meat lovers alike), will only charge $10 (with tax) for a burrito/bowl larger than your head?

And yes, their burrito is freaking good, too. All in all, it's hard to pass up chipotle when I'm in this part of town, simply because they're really good at what they do. That's delivering great food, with integrity.

I got a barbacoa burrito and it was the worst burrito I've had. The flavour was OK, but the burrito was wrapped into the shape of a ball and was stone cold. As if it came out of the fridge. Save your time and go to Mucho Burrito or Burrito Boyz

I love this place and their food. Look how massive that thing is! Definitely worth the money.

For a dedicated vegetarian, ordering food at a non-veg restaurant can be hard. Altering menu options can be a lengthy process, and not to mention, an extra expense. The more the substitutes, the more the stereotypes, and let’s face it, it’s a hassle and a half. Being one of the few non-meat eaters in my group of friends, it’s difficult finding a restaurant that will satisfy both our dietary needs and taste buds. But hey, don’t worry, because I’ve settled on a good one.

Hustling Torontonians flee to quick and healthy restaurants that will fuel the body and re-energize the senses… this must by why Chipotle Mexican Grill is always crowded. Serving up “Food With Integrity” since 1993, this gourmet burrito and taco restaurant is slowly changing the meaning behind “fast food”. Chipotle is committed to providing authentic meals, with only the best quality ingredients.

Mike Fuller, Marketing Strategist, says that Chipotle is always looking to improve its menu and make things better. After years of tasting, experimenting, and interacting with customers, they’ve just recently added their fourth new ingredient on the menu, which just so happens to be vegan-friendly (and they scouted me to be the judge).

Tofu. Or as Chipotle likes to call it, “Sofritas”. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong. Like no other tofu I have ever tried. With a texture that resembles a Mexican chorizo sausage, and a flavour that will make your mouth water. This non-GMO tofu is seared and then braised in an abundance of spices, a taste that would have even the pickiest of meat eaters tempted to try. Bonus: it was stuffed into a burrito with brown rice, guacamole, black beans, salsa, and grilled veggies (all made in house, if I may add).

According to Fuller, the success of Sofritas has been especially great with the Toronto market, “A lot has been due to the fact that the population appreciates and seeks out vegetarian options.” (Victory clap, you know who you are.) “A testament to the Chipotle team,” says Fuller. “Sofritas are something we wanted to make sure we did, and did it right.” Well Chipotle, you’ve got my vote.

A great American import that exposes Torontonians to a more agreeable Mexican cuisine. With rich flavour profiles with guacamole and salsas, Chipotle has a good variety of dishes ranging from the usual burritos and tacos to burrito bowls and vegetarian sofritos. My favourite would be the order a bag of chips and a nice guacamole dip for game night with the boys. The chips has a nice lemony flavour and not overly salty and is perfect with Chipotle’s guacamole. Another advantage of Chipotle is that most of its meats are from animals that aren’t exposed to antibiotics and hormones, which is great for all its patrons!

For a "fast food" restaurant, this place is amazing. I'm so excited Toronto has Chipotles now. Burritos, bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas, salads... I love mexican food and this place wins my heart. This location is conveniently on Yonge a little north of Dundas. It's a pretty big space, clean, simple. You can order and eat at the tables or take it to go. I got the burrito with half steak, half f-something (special, vegetarian). It's big but absolutely delicious. I can't even elaborate or I'll start drooling. I'm always craving this place. For instance, right now.

It was about 10$ for the burrito. The one thing I don't like is that guacamole is an optional extra here, but I guess that's how it is nowadays.
