I always wanted to try the food here because of the good reviews. Finally last Sunday I was able to order and picked it up. Lots of Japanese restaurants near my place but I went extra mile to try the food here. My daughter loves the shrimp tempura. Wasn’t able to take a photo of it. It was gone in an instant. It must be really good to finish the two orders. Going to the sushi, I was not impress due to the rice, it was kinda dry and hard already. It’s been like a rice just taken out from the fridge.

Ordered a few rolls and my friend got a bento. The prices are very reasonable esp for the quality. As an avid sushi lover I can tell the fish is fresher than most places and the maki is bigger so you get your moneys worth. Dropped by on a weekday night for dinner and service was friendly, was not too busy. I would recommend giving this place a try if you like doing a la carte like me. I am not a fan of the typical ayce sushi places so restaurants like these are totally worth it.

Delicious sushi and great service at this location - there is a broad menu with a variety of sushi and Japanese dishes available. The sushi dinner meals with sashimi are definitely worth a try, and the salmon hand rolls are also tasty. All items are prepared fresh to order and service is very friendly and efficient. Check them out in Scarborough for your next sushi fix!

Always a great sushi at niji! The nigiri are big pieces and the rolls are nicely topped with tobiko. The sushi comes on wooden planks which is a nice touch. Definitely a go-to spot in the area

I ordered the Salmon bento box, and was not disappointed at all. The box came with 6 pieces of california roll, rice, and a small amount of vermicelli. Comes with appetizers of salad, and miso soup which was portioned at the right amount. The grilled salmon was cooked just right, and was tender to the touch. With any order, you are given a complimentary green-tea ice cream. It hit the right spot all around. Will definitely be back! :)

Amazing food, wonderful friendly staff, price is right and overall good atmosphere. The meals are always super fresh. The only downside is that they need to expand the size of the restaurant although after the renovation it definitely is much better. I strongly recommend Ni-ji Sushi Japanese restaurant to anyone who appreciate having good sushi in a clean and friendly restaurant.

One of my most favourite places for sushi. Unfortunately there was a fire in May 2015 and is now closed indefinitely for renovations.

Been coming here, along with family and friends for ... 15 years? Long time. Anyway, I'm pretty sure they've only raised their prices three times in that span of time, one of which was after reopening after the fire a few month ago, so nobody has any business complaining about it. One thing I can attest to is the consistency of the food and service. The place is packed from about 6:30 onwards, especially on fri-sat so be prepared for a long wait. Lunch hour is super busy as well.

Every time I visit my parents in Scarborough I always go to Ni-ji sushi. Thinking to go after lunch when it is less busy (1:30pm) I was surprised to see there was still a line up. Got a table after waiting a few minutes and was presented a menu right away. Even though the place was packed, the service was top notch. Ordered from the lunch menu (11:30am-3pm), sushi and tempura. Served with miso soup and salad. The sushi tasted real fresh, and everything was presented so nicely. Excellent food and service for a very fair price. I will continue to visit Ni-ji when I'm in the area.

When it comes to sushi, I am really picky. But I have found a great place that meets all my sushi requirements. Always super fresh cuts of fish, and perfect rice. The service is cute and friendly and you are always welcomed with multiple hellos when entering. <br/>I admit I don't stray too far and order on rotation some of my favourites, all meals come with miso soup and salad and sometimes congee. Spicy tuna rolls, and salmon sushi make up my regulars, and a very colourful salmon sushi pizza is ordered to share. I know it's not typically Japanese but the sushi pizza started my love for sushi so I can't leave it out. <br/>I love having places you can rely on, that consistently meet your expectations. With great sushi, a pleasant atmosphere and amazing value I am so glad I was introduced to this place.
