The food was very good. Although there were few restaurant guests, the buffet was filed with many very tasty Chinese food options, along with sushi and western options. We enjoyed all the foods selected along with the wonderful friendly and attentive service.
Everything I tried was so fresh, delicious, and not salty. So many varieties to choose from. And the price was very fair considering how much we need to pay at a restaurant for special occasions. Additionally, considering how busy they were that day (June 26th), the staff provided very calm and kind services. We are going back there to celebrate a birthday for my friend this week.
Some people don't like buffets, but judging by the wait at Mandarin, many do. If you are going to a buffet restaurant, there are few that do it as well as Mandarin. Many, many food choices to suit many tastes, and the staff are able to keep the dishes stocked in a timely fashion, keeping everything fresh.
This evening we happened to be there for the Moon Festival. This meant that there were a few special dishes added to the menu, like Peking Duck Spring Rolls, Sweet and Sour Fish, Breaded Pork, and more.
The Mandarin on Queensway is our go to Chinese food buffet. Good selection especially with picky kids. Everything you would expect is there and food is pretty good.
While living in Toronto, this was my favourite Mandarin location, due to its proximity to the Sherway Gardens shopping centre. During my last visit in October 2014, my friends and I got to sample many of the items on the menu, such as the Pepper Shrimp and the items they had out for the Moon Festival. The only downside to our visit was that we arrived later in the evening, and the buffet was winding down shortly after we sat down.
That said, my favourite items are the beef ribs and the creme brulee dessert cups, both of which I think are only on the dinner menu. The Western and Chinese-Canadian food mixed together was good for me, although I highly recommend calling ahead with reservations regardless of when you go.
The ambiance is good, although it depends on who else may be sitting next to you. Generally, the staff in my experience have been very friendly, and always great people as they walk in.
Not too bad. The service was not too good. Especially when the staff says "Welcome To Mandarin". That was not welcoming at all. However the food, although it was a little fat and greasy, really tasted fresh and great. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant for people who are on diets, but if you have a craving for something yummy ocasionally go to Mandarin.
I always crave mandarin ! Very good service
You can nearly find all you want to eat here. The food category is various and the service is very good.
There are some Chrismas promotions now and I could get a glass if I order a Happy Hohoho cocktails. I like the glass very much!

It will be better if the price could be lower. I went Mandarin Queensway sometimes. The dinner price of WEEKEND is too high - 23.99 per person. I know customer can eat some more valued dishes such as, crab legs, prime rib etc in dinner. but I still think 23.99$ for weekend dinner is too high. It will be nice if it could be 11.99$, same as lunch price in weekday.
Sister Sarah and I had supper at the Mandarin. It's been a lot of years since I've been (great idea, Sis!). There's a lot of choice ... over 150 dishes ... and not just Chinese food. Sister Sarah started off with shrimp, crab and lobster au gratin (that was a big hit). I'm not a fan of seafood. I ate a lot and It was good and yes, I was FULL! On the way out, Sister Sarah and I posed with Jazzy Santa. The staff were very friendly and attentive.
Came here today for some dinner with family. As usual, they had good and hot good. We had the buffet that had the Crab Legs and Lobster Tail au Gratin. Not a fan of the lobster tail as there was a but too much cheese in it and it was super fishy but the rest of the good was good, especially the desserts. So much food to choose from.
Always greeted by 20 people by saying "Welcome to Mandarin!" And they're always quick to refill drinks....at least the water.
This location always has friendly staff and quick service. The good is fresh and the plates look clean. I took away one star because there’s normally a line up and the staff can get a little curt when it gets busy but I suppose that’s understandable too. Good job overall!
I had a monster craving for Mandarin so I ordered online three dishes my favourites and I was told it's going to arrive within the hour I actually don't think 30 minutes past by when the knock was on my door and a food had arrived it's as if flash himself delivered my food😁
Anyways the food was delicious and I also received five fortune cookies and I only ordered for one person😁 no complaints believe me.
Great food. Masking not enforced, as govt suggests. However, if the govt asks me to jump over a cliff, I usually think about it a long time. Other food handling protocols were in place with a supply of clear plastic gloves to be worn over 1 hand.
I would recommend their buffet. There was a seniors (65+) discount.
Good service by staff. I enjoyed the meal with my buddy. Great place to have good conversation and a meal.
This Mandarin on Queensway is probably the nicest location I have been too. I have been here a number of times across many years and different occasions, but the experience has been top-notch every time. I have three main reasons why this location is my favourite.
The service is very polite and attentive. Everyone has a smile and no servers are ever rude or seem like they don't want to be there. Refills and finished plates are dealt with promptly. Sometimes, you might even find the manager come around to offer their greetings and business card which casts a more professional impression than some locations that don't bother with this.
The food is seasoned well and is not over-fried or over-salted. Some locations can't seem to do this part right but this Queensway location exceeds expectations for usual Mandarin/AYCE buffet standards. Also, the buffet areas are kept clean with frequent wiping of fallen food around the hot tables.
My biggest reason why this location is my favourite is because they truly offer buffet service almost right up until 9:00. Other locations will start ushering customers out early with premature last calls and shutting down of stations, but this location doesn't cut corners like that. We got in late around 7pm and saw that even right up until 10-15 minutes before closing, food options were still being brought out and fully replenished. That is service that goes above and beyond in my opinion and sets this location apart from most others. When I decide to go to Mandarin again, this will always be my location of choice.
This evening my husband and I went for our anniversary dinner! I must say the service was absolutely 💯 amazing. There were two waiters always coming to clean our tables and give us drinks. Making sure we were ok. The food was superb quality and constantly being replenished such a wide variety of selection. The food was delicious hot and tasty! Fresh! Our bellies are full and we are completely satisfied!! Thanks MANDARIN!!
I went here for dinner with my family on Friday night. We are very satisfied with the delicious food. The waitress was very nice, professional and patient. We had a very enjoyable evening here. We highly recommend the Mandarin Queensway location. We will definitely go back for sure
The dining experience was phenomenal. The staff and managers were very friendly and welcoming. Personally, I love the decorations in each of the rooms. Highly recommended for a quality meal with a reasonable price.
