Review Fat Pasha - Toronto

Fat Pasha is iconic. The ambiance is so much fun and the service is amazing, we had Brittany taking care of us and she was so sweet and bubbly. There’s a sense of humour about the place and I contribute that to the chef’s background. I felt very welcome as a Jew myself and felt immediately at home. The food was incredible. The labneh is literally to die for. You can’t go wrong at this restaurant!!! Everything is delicious!! I can’t wait to bring all my friends and family here and become a regular. Thanks for such an amazing night and see you soon!!

Great ambiance, and equally great Jewish/middle eastern fare. I recommend the platters; all the dips and sauces are great. Though I did find dishes were on the pricier side. Overall good experience.

The only regrets I have are that I wish I visited here sooner and could try more food! Not only food colour palette and plating were incredibly pleasing, but also all the food we ordered was so flavourful. Although it was extremely busy and full on Saturday night, the service was very quick and excellent. All the staff were amazingly friendly and bubbly which made me feel very welcomed. Food portions were huge, probably it’s best for big group functions as well as small party. Fat Salatim Platter is a must try dish! It came with 4 different amazing dips, falafels and pita. Pita were so fresh and warm. We also tried one of their cocktails, Blueberry Mint and Cranberry Gazoz. It was the best/prettiest drink I have had recently in Toronto. I would come back just to get these drinks! It could get very busy especially Friday or the weekend so recommend making a reservation.

Amazing experience ! Top notch customer service, great sharing plates, and amazing food! I am very picky with hummus but this hummus has to be one of the best I tried so far in the city. Would definitely suggest getting the Salatim Platter and the steak. I don’t usually eat steak, but that was one of the best I’ve had in a long time! Perfectly seasoned and cooked. Perfectly juicy. Had a great time and highly recommend!

Limited menu, on the pricier side. But the lamb kofta and beans were absolutely delicious! We went without a reservation so didn't get a patio seating. But there will be a next time!

Fat Pasha is so good it will definitely make you fat - you'll want to keep coming back for more! We shared a platter of all the dips for two and it was fresh, tasty, and filling. The labne and baba ghonoush were excellent. Also tried the desserts, which were just as impressive as the entrees.

Absolutely fantastic service and all around a brilliant space. The pita bread was truly exceptional and I can go back just for that. Great drinks as well and all in all a brilliant experience. Highly recommend.

Pretty good portions & tasty overall. The appetizers were too heavy though so we couldn’t order any mains but it was still worth the experience!

We turn to Jewish and Middle Eastern cuisine when we're craving rich, full dishes that sing with exotic and exciting flavour combinations; but it’s not always easy to find the really good stuff. And, because we’ve been lucky enough to have eaten a lot of food from around the world it can be hard to delight our imaginations - and our palates. Fat Pasha certainly checked off all these boxes for us. Ambiance: It's a great place to gather with a group of friends. With an intimate feel (seating allows for about 40 people), the lively buzz in the room picks up quickly. It has a modern, clean feel with blonde woods, walls, and accents in whites and subdued blues. The tables are bit close, so it isn't an ideal spot for a romantic date night or private conversation. But it’s a great spot when you need a dose of social energy to pair with your big meal! Staff: The staff are lovely and attentive but can get caught up in the energy of the place, so you might have to be a bit assertive in getting their attention when the place is full. Our waitress was casual and straightforward with an easy-going air; her vibe suited the social atmosphere of the place. Food: We feel their menu is best enjoyed with a group of 4 - 6 or more. The dishes are intended for sharing, and some are quite large and hearty. Their famous roasted cauliflower alone would have been enough to contentedly feed two people. The three of us had ordered four dishes and were ready to lapse into a food coma by the end of our meal! We probably would have been quite content with three dishes, and a shared a dessert. Dishes come out one at a time, with a bit of space between each to let the rich food settle and make it easier to keep going. Hummus: We started with the hummus - hard not to! They have a daily hummus special with a creative twist and a unique collection of toppings. This was perhaps the most decadent version we've ever had; super creamy, with whole chickpeas on top, pickled onions, parsley, tomatillo "salsa" and paprika – and of course lots of EVOO. It was delicious and has encouraged us to be more creative with our hummus at home! Roasted Cauliflower: This is one of their most famous dishes, and when we saw the neighboring table dig in, it just had to happen. Tahini (made from sesame seed) and skhug (a cilantro and garlic based sauce), is layered over top. Pomegranate seeds and pine nuts are sprinkled on top with some grated halloumi. It's really, really filling (did we mention that it’s filling?) with lots of flavours complimenting and contrasting each other - we loved it! Duck Schmaltz Latkes - Latkes are a "pancake" made out of grated potato. They're cooked in duck schmaltz, which is rendered duck fat. A version of schmaltz is used in many cultures and allows food fried in it to achieve a beautiful brown crispness. These latkes were nice and thick, with a crunchy exterior and a soft, tasty interior. Served with applesauce and sour cream these were a real comfort food for us. Chicken Kabab - Big cubes of chicken breast in a lovely yogurt-based sauce and a side of delicious, sectioned tomatoes and drizzled with dill and parsley. Thank goodness this was a smaller dish, as by this point we were near the point of bursting. We were a bit uncertain about chicken breast as a kabab; when not done just right chicken kababs can come out dry. We needn’t have worried; the chicken was moist and delicious - they did a fabulous job.

It was really good Israeli food, great staff I was late 30 mins and they were still able to seat me...the only turn of was I found a big black hair in my food...it was a turn and the waiter wasn't really apologetics.

When was the last time you had cauliflower and brussels sprouts and loved them? Heck, when was the last time you saw them on a menu? Like nothing ever before. Six of us dined awfully well on 10 or 12 sharing dishes and came away stuffed and happy. Friendly and super fast service too. This is a great restaurant. Period.

SO GOOD. My husband & I can't stop talking about it! We got steak, turkey schwarma, and fried potatoes, and shared the blueberry cheesecake and sour cherry cake for dessert. (Our appetizer, the warm pita with hummus and chick peas, was also super good!) Loved it all, can't wait to go back.

Middle Eastern Toronto gem. The rapini taboulleh was my absolute favourite
