A bit underwhelming. I firstly have to say that I don’t consume dairy, the only animal products I consume are seafood so it was really hard for me to eat at Buca. Our server did a great job pointing out what I could eat; but all the bread had butter (really, even the dairy eaters on the table were unhappy with that). Service was amazing, jt was a bit too loud in the space but overall an underwhelming experience. I personally wouldn’t go again.

Food was good. Although the ambience was extremely noisy and the close proximity to the adjacent table made things even more unpleasant. Service was unusually slow and the menu took more than 10 minutes to arrive after seating. Furthermore, there were several items that were sold out but this was not mentioned in advance.
As someone who’s been to the restaurant several times, this was highly atypical. Hoping for future improvements.

Amazing experience at Buca for our very first visit! Everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic and exceeded our expectations (focaccia bread, olives, short rib pizza, wagyu steak). The highlight was the wagyu steak that just melted when we took a bite, and it blew us away. It was probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in my life! Restaurant inside has a really nice ambiance and it wasn’t too loud inside. Definitely will be going back!

I highly recommend the branzino raw fish that they cut table side. It’s so simple yet so good. Their pastas are also really unique. They have a sommelier who can suggest wines pairings for you.

I recently visited Buca Osteria for the 1st time and from the moment we arrived Manolo greeted us with open arms and I can honestly say our experience was 10/10 from start to finish !! The food was absolutely delicious and there were lots of great gluten free options for my girlfriend who has a serious allergy. I'm looking forward to going back to Buca and I would not hesitate to recommend this place 🥂🥂🥂

Service top notch. Super friendly and make you feel comfortable even if you're unsure of certain menu items. We didn't want the starters and our waiter served our 4 main meals as family style, with smaller individual plates to serve. I am positive that other fancy places would be fussy about that. Food is incredible every time I go here. Every pizza is high quality and insanely delicious and savoury. Slow cooked lamb just insane. Not a huge variety of pasta options but still highly recommend. 5 stars.

The braised octopus was delicious, crispy on the end of the legs and firmer going up and the broth and mini pasta its in is to die for! Staff sold us on getting a wine bottle as they have the best bottles of wines in the world (or so I’m told). He made a good red wine recommendation. The desserts were just okay, the tiramisu missed the mark for me as it was too untraditional and the waffle with the citrus crepe was not amazing. For the price, it’s great for a special occasion - I’d suggest getting an entree and a glass of wine then going elsewhere for drinks and desserts.

Went last night excited to try a restaurant in the top 50 in Canada. I do not understand how they got on this list. We walked in and were seated, given menus by the manager and then just left to sit there for a half hour before anyone came back to take an order for even a drink. There were 3 tables in our servers section all seated after us all served and brought drinks. We tried flagging the numerous wait staff standing around just to be ignored. We own a restaurant ourselves so we do understand staffing and getting to tables in an orderly fashion. They definitely missed this. We still wanted to try the food so we stayed. We ordered the olives and bread knots both were delicious. My husband ordered the cannelloni which was a small portion but he enjoyed. I ordered the lobster pasta which tasted like store bought noodles boiled in lobster shells. Through our dinner no one came back to refresh our drinks again. With us still trying to flag down someone and watch them serve the tables beside us. Our waiter then asked if we would like dessert. We are not dessert people so my husband made a joke saying we would rather drink dessert hinting we would like to have another cocktail. No nothing again so we got the bill and left. The manager stopped us on the way out to ask how things were. We just said ok and told him our service was not great. He offered to personally take care of us next time which in theory is great but I don’t need to “try” a $250 meal again to be disappointed. I would avoid this restaurant

I have been to Buca King and Yorkville many times, lunch and dinner. Usually a good experience. This review is for Yorkville. Took friends there. Service was very good. Sommelier was good. Pizza app was good. Seafood mixed grill app was dry, deep fried and way over salted, terrible. Artichoke app was good, but not much to it. Duck entree was boring and tasteless. Octopus entree was so tough needed a steak knife to cut it, sauce way over salted. Chocolate ink cake was a little tough but tasted ok and presentation was good. The cheese plate for dessert was generous but only of one cheese, and some kind of sweet chutney, and a small loaf of bread - would have been better to have an assortment with some dried fruit, nuts, crackers, etc. Likely a new chef. Used to be good. For the price, one expects better. Not impressed, and not going back.

If I could give a 7 stars out of 5 I would. Best meal I've ever had. No exception. Best service I've ever had. No exception. Best dining experience I've had. No exception. I've never been treated better by a server. Cannot recommend Buca highly enough.

Service was on point. Our first time at Buca and relied on server's suggestions - duck eggs, funghi pizza, pasta carbonara and donuts with dulce de leche - all very good. Drinks were tasty and really really good coffee.

I took my Mom to Buca Yorkville for her birthday and from start to finish we had an incredible experience. We had a late lunch reservation which is not always ideal for the employees but we were taken care of with the utmost care. A special thank you to our server Andrew for making it a wonderful birthday lunch with all of his impeccable recommendations and of course his attentiveness. From the cocktails to start to the food and wine pairing I could not have asked for more. We will be back many times I am sure. Thank you.

Awesome food and service. Went with girl friend for first time for brunch and asked for side order of their famous gnocco fritto (squid ink fried bread of sort) and server gave us 4 pieces to try for free. Left a nice tip for the great service. Also had the butternut squash gnocchi with black truffles. Soooo yummy!! Drinks were great we had Granato-grapefruit & lime juice with vodka & grenadine. �� So happy. Will return for sure.

I went to Buca Yorkville with a friend of mine two nights ago and ordered a pasta and pizza dish, shrimp carpaccio and the cod tongue.
We had a great time and everything was fine until the next day when we both got extreme food poisoning. I ended up in the hospital with IVs because I could not keep anything down. I eat out at least twice a week and I definitely do not have a sensitive stomach.
I'm not sure where the contamination came from, but it's unfortunate that such a great dining experience had to be ruined because of it.

This place is awesome! Came here for my anniversary and everything was perfect! They even gave us a care package to go when they found out it was our anniversary... fresh pasta and all the fixings to make a meal for two!

This is a good restaurant but I remember liking the other location better. We had a thin crust pizza which was very good and a couple of small plates. The menu is limited though.
